V11 vs S18: Initial Comparison

- We test out the features of the V11 and S18 in this initial comparison video. Who is the wheel for? What are the strengths and weaknesses of these highly anticipated suspension wheels from premier brands InMotion and King Song? Join us as we find out!
Please note that we do capture a cutout on the V11. After reviewing the footage, we've determined that the V11 cut out due to aggressive acceleration beyond what would normally be expected from the wheel. You can see that right before the cutout, Connor's head dips forward indicating a sharp acceleration going into the upcoming turn. Essentially, the wheel did not "cut out", it was simply overpowered. This issue has been addressed and fixed with the production version 2200W motor (this video was produced using the pre-production 2000W motor).

I just bought two V11. And the fun continues.
Also watched last S18 video from WrongWay when he expirimented a cutoff on the S18 when accelerating hard with 75% of battery! Scary...

Thanks guys! (I’ve pre-ordered the S18...but the excellent guys at eWheels have told me I can switch to whatever I want-V11 or Veteran!)
Man it’s an agonizing decision! Truth is the V11 seems to be the better designed and built machine...but it looks like you are riding a miniaturized Thai Buddhist Temple! Whereas the S18 looks like you are riding something the Gods of Cool chiseled out of Badassness, user ergonomics be damned!
Course at 55 years old WHY do I care how I look? Only the AARP Medicare marketers can even see me at this point... 😐
We have brick streets where I live...but wondering if the 20” tire of the Veteran would smooth em out enough... The Vet is 1/3 more $$$ but literally 3X the machine!
Any thoughts from any of you guys-EUC fans-would be agonizingly appreciated!
I think the s18 looks better but I'd much rather have the V11 over looks any day

Good review but it's not dampening. It's damping. Dampening is when you wipe it with a damp sponge. Then it's been dampened. Damping is the correct term for suspension...

I loved that head-to-head test but you guys are really late to the party! These are both Preproduction wheels and both have changed enormously - I don't think you stressed this enough. Sure you've titled it an 'Initial Comparison' but your results are super outdated, this video would have been a lot more interesting a month ago. You've also failed to warn people about the problems people are reporting with the Production wheels - which makes your review super sketchy. I recommend people watch reviews of the production units (especially "Wrong Way"), which are out now, and most importantly check the EUC message forums for up-to-date info before they decide on investing in one of these.
With all that said, I really liked the style of your review and look forward to seeing your review of the Production models - do that head-to-head race again but make it a bit longer and add a non-suspension wheel for comparison!
No mentioning of weight in an EUC review?
I’m becoming more concerned about the V11. I’m short, so if height is an issue for taller people, it’ll be an issue for me. Also, maneuverability is important to me. Kinda nervous and wishing these were available at a local store for trying first. One day.

Does rider height matter when choosing euc? I’m only 5’5 5’6. I’m liking the 18s it’s cheaper too

@@EUCOllective thanks, I'm a bit concerned (not sure if it's a valid concern) if the side of my knee would touch the euc (like the v11 seems tall) and if it would feel uncomfy
That's a very valid concern! Most EUCs will end up touching your knees (it's the same for most riders actually). Riders have figured out that if the wheel rubs uncomfortably against the knees they add strips of foam sheets.
With that said 😆 the v11 sides are plenty comfy
@@EUCOllective need your opinion please. If you're a beginner, and not likely to be an aggressive rider. Would you say that the v11 is worth 200 usd more to you? Or just stick with s18? I do like the looks of the s18. But I'm still doing my research
Personally, I'm not an aggressive rider and between the two wheels I like the V11 the most. The extra $200 is worth it.

Hi Jose, once a model is in stock, new orders will usually ship out within one business day. Unfortunately our next shipment of V11s is still on its way, but we update euco.us/preorders whenever we get new information about incoming shipments, so keep an eye out there!
i would go for the futuristic look of s18. haha. and the cut off of v11 concerns me.
