    Great comparison between the two. Thank you! Nice to see a stock comparison too. What would you recommend to add to them, to make them better in the aspects where they seem to lack a little, compared to the other. Say better comfort on the S18 and better control/grip on the V11? Basically, what would be the first, and maybe most important, mods to make on them, for a rider that would by one and want to optimize them a bit?

    The suspension on the S18 doesn't seem to be working at all, was it a disfunction or was it setup incorrectly?
    See 6:02 - it looks fully compressed under the rider's weight - sticking out.
    Then it doesn't compressed on the incoming bump.

    1. The V11 Travel didnt change. On Kujis prototype it was already 85.
    2. The back on the S18 is still Aluminium. Only the Sliders are steel.
    3. The light dimming down is not for the rider. Its for the unit to have a chance to cooldown on the slower settings of the fan but nevermind.
    4. You testing jumps/offroad and dont bother to put pads on V11? ...

    Very nice review.
    I’m not as concerned about comparing the two but I just got my v11 and coming from an msx with pads locking me in,
    I feel like I’m about to fall off my v11 when braking or accelerating hard. I can’t get any leverage on the wheel.
    You’re right it feels like a shoe that’s way too big, about to slip off at any moment.
    I tried installing my pads on v11 but that rubber saddle material doesn’t hold the super strength 3m Velcro.
    I’m thinking about drilling little screws with fat washers through the saddle to hold my Velcro down.
    I also ordered some little levers that screw in above your upper foot, holding you down so you don’t get bounced off.
    Those will help when they arrive from hulaj market in Poland, but I won’t be able to fold my pedals up.

    • @flashyflash7152
      @flashyflash7152 3 года назад +1

      I ordered those same flight pads from Hulaj. I do not have big feet, and I need to be able to put my feet more forward on the pedals or else I spend too much effort on acceleration. The flypads restrict me from doing so.

    • @darkstar4494
      @darkstar4494 3 года назад

      @@flashyflash7152 oh really? They keep you from placing your foot too far forward?
      What if you had pads also, that allowed you to accelerate with your shins, do you think the hulaj pegs would be more useful- for braking and for making sure you don’t get bounced off your pedals? In other words do you think you could place your feet less forward?

    • @flashyflash7152
      @flashyflash7152 3 года назад

      @@darkstar4494 Yes I do believe with power pads I could get the acceleration I need. The fly pads will help prevent being bounced off but I don’t see how it helps with breaking power, perhaps stability. With the power pads out in the market, I dislike how it limits the bend in my knees. I feel too attached to the wheel for my preference (I think chooch touched on this in his latest video). I’m looking forward to what The EUC Guy is doing with his power pads.

    • @darkstar4494
      @darkstar4494 3 года назад

      @@flashyflash7152 I was imagining that the hulaj legs would allow you to lean back on your heels and push the top of your foot upward to help with braking.
      I agree about pads locking you in too much, I don’t like the alternative either though, I can’t accelerate or more importantly brake nearly as hard without pads.
      I made my own and made the front pad as thin as possible. Thick rear pads don’t get in the way, they’re just nice for emergency braking.

    I really don’t get why they can’t get decent English on such stickers and the manual overall. I reckon they must create an order to print a sticker to a nearby factory and they obviously give it to them in Chinese while the random factory does the translation themselves and do a literal, word-for-word translation..?

    • @SilverFrogStudios
      @SilverFrogStudios 2 года назад +1

      I worked 12 years for a translation company and we could basically never sell our services to Chinese companies, never convince them that it mattered. It's a matter of the culture of the language, Chinese people seem to have the idea is it's fine to just get kind of close enough that the reader can probably figure out what you're trying to say. I think it actually comes from the structure (relative lack of structure) of the Chinese language. And having no time for niceties like grammar. We kept a file of the most hilarious translations, thinking they could be used for marketing. But most Chinese product managers would just think they were fine. My favorite was for a fireplace insert that basically throughout the manual talked about it as a living thing that was "to be eating log food" and would "vomit fire and smoke" if overloaded with "too small centimeters of wooden food too much in the orifices."
      And they're kind of right, I mean, you can get the idea.

    I enjoyed your comparison. one thing you didn't seem to address was the weight difference. The V11 is 60 pounds, 12 more than the S18. Any comments? Also, I see that there is a seat and positioning pads available for the V11, which I like. Not to mention the bigger battery pack, which I'm guessing is a large part of the extra weight. an extra 10+ miles seems worth it.

  • @Laenthal
    @Laenthal Год назад +1

    I noticed how soft the wheel pressure was for s18 on hillclimb test footage. It definitely affected both speed and battery consumption to the worse.
    (also the "music" around 7:00 is really offputting)

  • @ClayGoes
    @ClayGoes 3 года назад +4

    I'm going to sound like a pedantic fucker, but 30% remaining battery actually implies the V11 battery is roughly 50% bigger than the S18. You have been right if you said the S18 was 30% smaller though : P
    ALSO, this is one of the best video I've seen comparing the two. Most of the other videos it feels like the riders aren't experienced enough to push the eucs to their limit. You guys did, and with style! The cinematography was hype!

    • @patrickriday
      @patrickriday 3 года назад +1

      Yes! Before posting, I read through the whole comments section to see if anyone brought this up, only to find your comment at the end.
      The V11 (1500wh) battery is 36% larger than the S18 (1100wh), assuming my source is correct. The guy said 32% of the battery remained, and that it's a 30% larger battery. If they were both at 100% and discharged the same amount, 100% of the smaller, the larger would be at 27%. If it was only 30% larger, same scenario, it would be at 23%. Using the miles traveled numbers he reported, the V11 actually got 37 wh/mile, and the S18 got 34 wh/mile. This could be due to a number of factors, the most obvious being the fact that the S18 was operated down to 0%.
      So yes, really useful video, but that part should have been revised before inclusion in the final edit to make sure that it makes sense.
