I’ve got the V11 and love the range, but the suspension has many many issues. I also have the S18 and LOVE the suspension, it’s buttery smooth, but wish it had more range. S22 on order, hope it’s the best of both worlds. Thanks for the review Adam!
Motor “rattling sound” is actually just electrical/magnet feedback when under heavy amp load. You find/hear that more on KS wheels than on Hotways....as KS motor firmware is trimmed more for torque than for highspeed on the HW...or Begode. As you mentioned...for a 3p 18inch wheel the agility is pretty outstanding.
keep in mind that you are an advanced rider, As a beginner Ive had my S18 for several months, I can get easily 45 miles on a charge as i only ride 15 MPH for safety concerns, the two big factors is the suspension and its weight which is only 48 lbs compared to 60 on a V11. It is a Great wheel especially for a first wheel, great videos, Thanks
Makes terrific sense to me. I've been going back and worth on what to buy and realistically speaking even on my electric scooters I very rarely am staying at speeds over 20 MPH, maybe a burst here and there to higher speeds but cruising is always 20 or less. I guess if your a RUclips EUC salesman you might need to go faster or further.

If you haven't rode a s18 with the pedals in the upper position I recommend trying it. Since I raised my pedals my s18 handles better & I scrape the pedals less.
Wow, that's a lot of damage to the bottom. I thought of that in your earlier videos riding near rocks. I made a lower skid plate for mine using 1/2 inch white nylon plastic aligned with holes for the suspension tubes and held on with small ty-wraps. I heated the forward edge up a bit to help it skip over rocks. I can only imagine that damaging those tubes would make disassembly difficult. I used a two inch with strip of nylon and shaped it smaller at both ends. I also added a small width extension under the peddle supports.
I haven't ridden mine sitting 🤣, but I'm new to euc's, my s18 barely had 45km. For us beginners, the s18 has been a dream. I too noticed the issue with the padding making my upper leg hurt. I thought I would just get used to it over time
Dude, you have a long reach. (No, that isn't what she said. LOL!) I just went on my very first group PEV ride here in New York City, USA, and when we had a minute, all a few of us did was talk about how awesome you are. Keep up the great work Adam 👍🏼😀

Great review! have you heard back from the latest batch late 2023 with new motor /molicell? I’m wondering if they heard your comments and fixed some errors of the first generations
I just received mine a week ago as first wheel. I’m picking it up pretty quick but the wheel gets some death wobble at about 23mph. I didn’t fall but it freaked me out a bit. From what I’ve read in forums it comes down to riding technique and should get better with time.
You will get use to it and it won't happen. I'm just guessing but i get wobbles when slowing down. and the best way i can suggest to stop wobble while getting them is to lean forward/ accelerate. and the wobble should correct it self almost instantly. hope that helps!
In my transition to a 20" wheel I too experienced the death wobble . Your mind / body will adjust for this . The correct tire pressure is very important as well . For me , 30#s works . I have an idea why this helps but that is for another post . Keep riding and it will happen as if by magic. I really love this KS S18 . The only problem is this wheel works so well for me that I don't need to upgrade to the S20 . Very unfortunate 💪
@@raymondolson5444 after a lot more ride time I don’t experience it much now and agree lower tire pressure helps. I like a bit higher pressure, around 39#s when I want a bit more agility at slower speeds though. My local group mainly likes to do long high speed rides unfortunately and the S18 isn’t the best choice for that but it handles mountain bike trails quite well. I’ve gone up some pretty steep stuff and was really surprised how well it did.
Hi Adam, love the vids. One more thing I just learned on s18. Just got a 2023 one, went to make pedals higher but can't now because they now have a hollow motor and the mount won't slide to top holes as it hits the hollow motor mount now.
I dont think that wheels without a speaker is a bad thing at all although nice, but one thing that should be on all EUC's at this point is a 12v horn, in fact any type of transport vehicle or device that travels faster than a bicycle should be fitted with a horn, the horn should also be connected to a bluetooth module so it can be controller via a flic button in EUC world.
The kingsong app for my 16s has a horn button but using your mobile while riding is a very expensive fine here in Australia so I carry a cheap light/horn thing from Ali express with a wired remote switch. Works a treat
Adam, Could you please provide a link for those pedals. I've searched the web and am unable to locate. The standard factory pedals are crap after 350+ miles. Thank you!
I love a boring ride. Uneventful, casual, comfortable are my favorite words for a vehicle, except when i used to ride rice burners. I’m unfortunately 74 now. Enjoy and be safe everyone.
What is the pedal width at Its front end? Or distance from the shell to the outer edge of the pedal. Not sure if there is a gap between shell and the inner edge

Also, what do I look for when buying a new S18 in regards to what batch im ordering. Ofc I want the newest one, but hard to tell the difference when just looking on the websites. Thanks for your videos man ;)
Just look at the tyre. If its the new tyre. Youre getting the newest batch. The new tyre looks more grippy. The old one looks like an ordinary road tyre.
