I know at some point you're probably going to get a festool domino, but I'm glad that you still use your router and jigs to create them on your own. Instead of complaining about the cost of it, you figured out another way to make it happen. Your ingenuity is truly amazing. That's why I watch your videos multiple times, I learn something new each time. I'm always waiting for the next one. Thanks for the inspiration.
@@jennsmistake you seem to have a doweling jig but it is self centering one. There are great models like Dowelmax that can put dowels onto the board face and even 45 degree miters. That would be way faster than router domino and way cheaper than real domino. Just an idea.
Wow! It's truly mesmerizing to witness the remarkable growth of your skillset by leaps and bounds. I've also observed your tools collection growing by leaps and bounds. Can we do a shop tour next video?
As a self proclaimed male chauvinist (it was taught to me... trying to unlearn this behavior)... I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. Keep changing minds and I wish we were neighbors... Id let you use my Domino.
Great workJenn! Really nice touches with this piece. I'm still very much enjoying my tv console I built based off your original console design. Keep rockin'- keep inspiring!
You are one of the inspirations for me shoot my own woodworking videos, really like you style of film making and music. Keep up the good work! Fighting!
It looks like you're using brass fasteners on the steel grille. One thing to consider is that direct contact between dissimilar metals can cause corrosion over time from galvanic action. You're probably fine here, but could use a nice looking steel screw, or maybe a button-head brass screw with a nylon washer. Just something to consider in the future, but otherwise no notes. Phenomenal work as always 🙌
Hello Jenn, thank you for your videos, I am happy to see that you have grown as a professional and it shows in the way you work and the quality, you are an inspiration for me, thank you
Really beautiful piece. I love your router jigs- who says you need a Domino, right? The hardware you used on the sliding door grille is nice too, I've never used anything like that before. Keep up the great work!
Love your videos in theirs entireties, from the way you work, your creativity, skills, the silence accompanied by the relaxing background music 🎼. Still mystified by your channel name, call me dense, but I don’t get the mistake part ?
You do absolutely beautiful work. I am concerned about your safety using that tablesaw, though. Please use a push stick! You shouldn't let your hand get that close to the blade. Even though it seems safe enough, if that board suddenly jerks, it could pull your hand into the blade. I wouldn't want to see you lose those pretty fingers!
The consensus is in, you're still one of my favorite channels... My only issue with this new one is that there wasn't enough food in it :) But seriously, congrats on the new piece, it turned out amazing (not a surprise) as well as the new tools and most importantly, the new (at least to me) business and website!! I wish you nothing but the best with your new endeavor! Be well and stay safe Jenn, thank you so much for the upload!

Yes the domino jig. Love this solution. Console looks incredible too well done. Love full travel of the sliding door.
Thank you for the comment! 😊
This lady appears comfortable with her mortise technique. She doesn’t need a Domino.

Really beautiful console! Can you share where you found the hardware for the sliding door?
Always enjoy your builds.
Hi, Here is the link for the slider. a.co/d/9sMCNxe
Looks great, well done!
Very Nice, super clean
Do you use an oil & wax finish? Looks like a perfect on anything finish, looks fantastic.
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes, I use hard wax oil for the finish☺️
What a masterpiece!
I must know where you found the sliding door wheel things !
Really beutiful work! The grill really made this one special. However, does it mess up signals going into our out of the cabinet?
Since this metal sliding door is designed for my customer's stereo unit, I'm not sure if it will block signals, but I think it should be okay.
It's finally nice to see some female woodworkers on this channel, that take woodworking to the next level. Beautiful work!!!
Glad to see new video. This console is beautiful! Do you have the link to the hardware you used, especially the sliders?

Hello Jen, warm regards. Hey, I have a question: have you already made dining room chairs?

Bloody hell - that's GREAT work!!
why is your channel called JennsMistake? I can't see any!
When doing the dovetails on the doors, do you purposely do perpendicular grain ?
Yes, to keep the door flat and allow for expansion and contraction, the batten should be perpendicular to the grain of the door.
Love your videos in theirs entireties, from the way you work, your creativity, skills, the silence accompanied by the relaxing background music 🎼. Still mystified by your channel name, call me dense, but I don’t get the mistake part ?
