I always get distracted by the music and sit back think I'm just listening to jazz. But I rewatch every time so I don't miss anything. More views, yay!

I love that you're not using super expensive tools for this build. It's all within reach for anyone who wants to build something like this and has accurate measuring, a good amount of clamps, a router and a lot of patience.
I'm in the middle of building furniture that I need (about to start a bed frame actually) rather than just 'for fun' projects, and this is just beautiful work. Watching your other videos as well. :)
Very well done.
While it is true that she uses basic tools, one should keep in mind that preparing, squaring and dimensioning large size lumber is the most dificult thing to do with basic tools, which was not shown in this video. Otherwise, the build is extraordinary. If you wash the recent videos, she has purchased a surface plainner and a festool domino as well.

But yeah a planer is one of my most expensive buys and sped up the process for me.
A hand plane will do the job, but you have to be patient.
@@vintagejoehill I will be doing two of similar bed frames soon and bougth the lumber recently. I only have stanley no.4 and a hand held power plane. Yes, it will take time but you can get there one way or other.

I always cut my tenons using the router like at 1:45 but I have never thought of using shims to take light passes. Pretty cool idea
Great editing and pace. Went very well with the music and nostalgia of what a bed should be, relaxing. And your precision was relaxing. I always pass on a female woodworker because pretty much all of them don’t set up properly and are quite amateur and I don’t have much I enjoy from their videos or builds. I like your work , having done this for 40+ years I can say you have some skills. Might have mentioned this before but will again. Contrary to popular belief you will live to an old age, if you keep using your hand as a hammer you won’t be able to use your tools later in life.
Compare to some youtube video, they use tons of machine which I will never have them. But yours is really more achievable, I like it.
