Oh ok. So you're just gonna continue to consistently make some of the most gorgeous pieces of art I've watched be built. Thank you. This piece is incredible.
It's really enjoyable to see a workshop or tradesman with such solidified processes. The way he works in this video makes each operation clear and precise. Really nice.
Watching those first hinges that you plunge routed the openings for, slide into place so snug & effortlessly was so satisfying. ♥ What a gorgeous cabinet.
The patience you exhibit when crafting is pretty incredible to watch. I feel like people are always using brute force and speed on every project. You are so careful and meticulous. Great video!
gosh, the way you started some of the scenes with the exact starting sound of the needle hitting the vinyl... so good. your video creation skills rival your wood craftsmanship. really enjoyable on multiple levels. thank you.
You sir, are a true and rare artist. My soul smiles at what you are doing and what you have achieved. Thank you for allowing such a rare peek at this level of craftsmanship and artistic expression. Thank you 🙏🏻. Kind Regards.
Thanks for sharing 👍 😊. This brings back so many happy memories of my childhood almost 50 years ago. As a child on the weekend our parents used to play Proper music and our music system was housed in a cabinet just like this one!!! You can't beat good old vinyl records 👌. Thanks again 💯% 👍🇬🇧.
Man you have got to make some more videos. I have found your videos and watched them one right after the other. your work is absolutely beautiful. and the way that you work and make it is amazing. I could watch you stuff for hours.
I really appreciate the quality of your work, clean, effective, attention to detail. Lovely Pieces you have built, thank you for sharing your expertise and knowledge with everyone watching. Take care, stay safe and.. don't stop your beautiful work.
Attention to detail right down to the cautiously selected choice of vinyl... Loving every minute of this! Made up for lost time elsewhere on yt. Thanks, man!
I wanted to get inspiration to make a walnut score sheet music cabinet for my daughter. Watching you create this piece was like having a beautiful dream while being awake. Don't know how many come close to your ability to bring imagination into real world concrete existence....
This brings back so many memories of the old time stereo systems I grew up with in the 1960's & 1970's. Would have liked to see the metal legs installed, the metal grill very strong hopefully better quality. Great carpentry, & professional work went into this fine and modern version of the past classic audio systems. Good video! 👍👍👏👏🙂
On top of the woodworking and joinery, I have to say the videography is excellent! From both an aesthetic instructional viewpoint, it ticks both boxes, subbed!
Amazing piece. However, one of the best features of mid century console stereo systems were the speaker systems that utilized the large available space. My Grandmother had one of these and it contained 2 15" woofers, and 2 large horn tweeter. Combined with the all tube electronics, it sounded so amazing.
i still have a couple of all tube radiograms with 12" Celestion speakers onboard...i keep meaning to restore the woodwork on one of them. They do sound great! I think they cost no more than £50 each as well. I may buy a Blaupunkt Arkansas (on looks alone)
I’m in the design process of a ‘console’ with speakers built in. Going for the old look - the top will still be openable (connections access) but latch behind doors (Blu-ray/DVD access) that will be concealed in the pattern of the front. Essentially an A/V center that looks like a console stereo that also acts as a TV stand.
We had an old Motorola FM Radio/Record player almost exactly like this growing up in the late 60s, early 70s. It was the tube kind. I was always amazed at how powerful and smooth the sound was. It had such a warmth to the music, especially the Record player. If I only knew then what I know now, I would have saved it from the garbage because my father threw it out !!!!!!.
This build is beautiful, absolutely amazing. It's not even a complaint, but I would love to see builds like this with other woods besides walnut though.
Another beautiful piece of art! Would've been cool to see a gas strut hinge on the top door so it assist in opening and allow a soft closing, so you know, it doesn't bump the record player.
I do continuous sequence slab doors as well... I'd be worried about stability in this build. You need sliding dovetails in the back. A brass brace will not prevent the panels from bowing. Brass will easily flex with movement.
increibles tus trabajos de los mas bellos que he visto , una hermosura de taller , te ves muy joven oara tanta exoeriencia , espectacular la coleccion de discos de vinil han de ser de tu padre saludos desde monterrey , Nuevo Leon , Mexico
That is beautiful, I don’t have a shop so I found a credenza with those woven cane doors and put my powered speakers in there and a Bluetooth receiver.
I knew an artist that used to build consoles with klipsch heresy speakers that fit in the cab.s.. He would use cheaper but new garrard tables and whatever Marantz pre and power amp and install a spring reverb for what he called 'Spatial' . Good times. The last time i talked to him he said the last one sold in the 80s for 3 grand.
The speakers could spin in the cabinets to the side or back where they could be pointed in any direction. Huge advantage. He made them out of salvaged 50s and 60s wood from high end credenzas and conference tables. The guy also made acoustic guitars.
I absolutely adore this! Made me immediately think that I wish my guitar amplifiers looked like this. Would be such a classy piece, especially if it could be something for use on stage - although I wouldn't dare let anybody breathe near it. Would set such an amazing vibe . I do love the turntable that's placed in it though, made me laugh that it's a different turntable used for the needle drop and lift bookending the video ;)
Oh Wow! I love everything about Pedulla Studio - the stunning designs, the precision of your work, the cleanliness and orderliness of your workshop - fabulous! One question - why do we not see your face? Are you hiding from the law?
Great looking audio cabinet. Why was the turntable different when the video of the stylus on the album was shown? It wasn’t even close to the same tonearm and head shell
I saw the same thing and just realized that it would make sense to have the lip to help lift the middle top piece up. if it was even you wouldn't have anything to grip to lift. my guess...
It's actually for the expansion and contraction of the lid. If its left flush and the lid contracts then it will sit under the adjacent top. This way you'll never notice.
@@pedullastudio Interesting! So my guess was wrong. But aren't the other two panels also subject to the exact same movement issues? If one shrinks, they all shrink, if one expands they all expand? Thanks for explaining this! Also - beautiful piece. Love the grain selection on the front panels and really clean lines. well done!
Great vid. I remember when I was younger you could buy the wood cabinets so you could add your valve / transistor equipment to them. The ones I built myself I built in sections and then ASSEMBLED where the unit was going to be used and for good reason 👀🤔If you have ever put together one of these and believe me this one is a TOTAL example of what I am about to illustrate😃they weigh a ton (well certainly feels like it as the missus rearranging the room - I need it there, no there 😭 followed by "look at the carpet and where that has been" followed by "Do you really think we should move it dearest.." 🤔👀 Also try moving furniture like that up or down stairs👀😒BUT I will tell you now.. solid teak unit that I put together AND yes I made it so that it could be disassembled into parts.. the sound was unbelievable from it.. true hifi fidelity at its best.. record deck, cassette tape deck and transistor tuner/amplifier assembly with FM radio as well, big 12 inch 15 ohm speakers plus several smaller speakers (electronics was a hobby of mine so crossovers and etc a breeze.. ) 20 watts per channel, rumble and scratch filters, full tone controls and 5 inputs plus din socket connectors and and! We had that for over 20 years with some upgrades along the way, but it remained a family heirloom😃👍Listen to the music of the 80s or the 90s with relish.. connect up a CD player to the din socket and once again the sound was awesome! The solid teak construction I still to this day reckon added so much to the warmth of the sound.. no vibration here thankyou.. 👀😃That's why if you have the time to do a project like this and the enthusiasm, do it! but as said do remember, when put together the WEIGHT! unless of course you are using lighter materials ? but even then it will still be heavy! 😨😃 Love this vid.. definite thumbs up here 👍😃 Whoever, wherever you are - stay safe!
Beautiful stuff Nick. Liking the brass usage at the moment looks great against the walnut. Those hinges for the record player cover were very cool too, nice choice.
Please can you tell me what time of hinges you used for the doors and the lid? The bass ones for the lip are particularly nice because you hide them in the wood and the door hinges look like you can just clamp them in without the need for screws. Very beautiful design 👍🏼👍🏼
Awesome build! I’m curious, did you house speakers in the unit? Where the mesh is? If so, how did the metal mesh speaker grills turn out? I’ve been thinking about doing the same thing but I was worried they’d “buzz”. Great work!
I really like this such a great design. Can I ask, what are the brass strips on the back of the doors. Are they braces to add strength? Great stuff I'm loving your work and video's
Awesome work ! Amazing skills. I personally would have made the record bin the other way around, to see records face from the front rather than from the side. 😊
Beautiful work man! I'm curious though, how do you prevent the record player to not vibrate when the sound is turned up? wouldn't the whole piece vibrate when it gets louder? great video! keep it up!

Well spoken. I concur.

I comeback to watch this video at least once a month. One of my favorite woodworking creations ever in my opinion.
The icing on such a beautiful cake would have been to see the speakers and how the enclosure is set up for the speakers. A great job👍

Не перестаю восхищаться вашими работами. И завораживает как из таких невзрачных досок вначале, получается такая красота в конце. 👍
The use of wood and brass for a contrast that is undeniably appealing to the eye is balanced for a classic mid-century look. Thank you for sharing.
So every now and again, when I need some inspiration. I flip to this video. Then I spend the next day creating. Well done man. You blow me away.
Whoa that blows my mind that my creative outlet can inspire you! Thank you so much man!
Oh. My. The tools. The equipment. The skills. The cabinet. Art. ❤️
beautiful wood, accentuated by just the right amount of brass, and a design thats top notch, make this a piece of elite art
Absolutely stunning,I love watching professional carpenters work, everything fits together perfectly.
Cabinet Maker please, carpenters are a little rougher than this artisan.

That's my dream! To do furniture from real wood. I'm a welder but my soul was always with wood. Pure perfection my friend!!
Thank you very much!

Your furniture and your craftsmanship is to be admired, an absolute pleasure to watch. More content please.
Its really a great design. Shows off the $10K turntable while in use and protects it when not.. The most amazing workmanship, of course.
Beautiful. Your creation shows there is still a place for media consoles.
Based on those records, I'd say your taste in furniture is as good as your taste in music! The grain consistency throughout is stunning.
Simply perfect. No plywood, just pure wood.

They didn't use gas struts it was a metal keyed hinge that had lock positions you can stull buy today.
Looks great. Thank you for not using a thousand pocket holes. I do similar door panels, great to see true craftsmanship. 🤙🏼
I do continuous sequence slab doors as well... I'd be worried about stability in this build. You need sliding dovetails in the back. A brass brace will not prevent the panels from bowing. Brass will easily flex with movement.
Пусть вы и не сможете меня понять, но блин это реально круто, просто испытал нереальное удовольствие от просмотра ваших видео, так держать!
This is another level of quality and beauty
thanks
I love the combination walnut and brass, great work!
Another outstanding piece of furniture! Never ceases to amaze me the level of precision.
Thanks so much!
I am impressed with the polite work and the good workmanship. I used to listen to LED ZEPPELIN a lot. Drop the needle on the turntable.
thank you
You must be a prototype maker. Details and measurements are so precise. Your wood shop is more like a laboratory for me.
This was so satisfaying i can't even believe it! I meaaaan the precision? Are you kidding? Loved it

Absolutely beautiful, walnut is wood of art. Great job! Thumbs up
Thank you very much!
Came to see what that mesh was, stayed for the walnut. What a great video and an incredible piece.
Glad you enjoyed it

They're made by Blum
That caught my eye too. Looking at the BLUM site and don’t see it.

Your job is truly amazing and also you listening cool music ;] And this cabinet - WOW!
