Making a layered plywood hifi unit for a customer. This type of furniture is how i first started my business and was my trademark style, my audiophile customers really liked it because it is heavy and very solid so makes a good platform for a turntable.

That piece is extraordinarily beautiful.
Woodworking ... 50% woodworking, 50% cleaning up after yourself....Love the design of the unit.
That Sir , is a beautiful piece of art , I love watching skilled craftsmen work , you must be busy and these videos are the best advert for your business , fabulous
This guy is totally amazing carpenter and a master builder well done 👏
Thank you for not having some annoying music on.
I have to agree, sometimes silence is golden :P
Yes. The noise of tools and machinery is enough. The sounds of thought ,concentration and work.
Right? I really enjoy listening to my own selection of music while still hearing saws and routers and sanders and stuff.
This^^.
It's one less step for a youtuber anyways!
And you'll never run into copyright issues 😎
Once again, thanks for not forcing music onto your watchers. Your skills are more than entertaining 😀
x2
Watching this complex joinery, assembly, and polishing, and final quality has given me the incentive to hang that mdf shelf.
Great concept. Artful use of belt sander. Excellent piece. Thanks!
Wow! Piece of art.
What an excellent, exquisite piece of furniture this is...
Is there anything you are not skilled in doing? I’m awed by your talent and vision.
Absolute craftsmanship excellent 👍
I love this guy. Welding in a wood shop with sawdust all over the place. This is a dying skill that will greatly be missed!!
It’s guys like you that make me wish I’d cared about woodwork classes at school 😩👏
You had woodwork classes? Lucky.
I only have design and manufacture.
Its NEVER too late! And RUclips is a superb place to get tuition - I've built my own guitars and furniture for nearly 40 years and enjoyed it so much, wish I could do it all again! :o)
And he has all of his fingers! great work
Thank god you didn’t add music. This piece is not my usual style but I like it a lot. Intrigued by the construction as well. So simple but effective, and looks surprisingly amazing when finished. I am usually covering up plywood edges, this has me thinking differently; thanks.
Goshhh!!! Absolutely perfect.👏👏👏👏👍
Craftsmanship - it has to be perfect!!!
That was a thing of beauty.
The best part is.. it only took 28 minutes to make.. Beautiful craftsmanship!
lol!
yeah, really fast lol
Hahaha
Another amazing example of your craftsmanship!!!
My reflex's always aim for the subscribed tab. Realizing I did that already. I love this. I recently entered my ply layering stage in my designs that is mostly new to me. I'm even on a brace-less layered subwoofer. I will be rigid enough without a need for any. Great stuff, I love your videos and design philosophies and "perfect" craftsmanship.
Nice attention to detail and lots of patience.
YOU ARE A REAL CRAFTSMAN !!!
I like your custom rounded sander. The hi-fi unit absolutely turns my head.
A very inspirational build. Great to see a build without the use of a CNC router or a lot of welding appearing half way through the build ! At least gives some of us lesser mortals some ideas. Your well worthy of my subscription. Thks.
Its all art work with passion , perfection , beyond the functionality of furniture , great art work
I love to see you make art deco inspired hifi furniture.
No....
It's an awesome piece, but there's not a single hint of Art Deco there.
Great piece of furniture and I love to see the combination of plywood and hardwood. Just one comment. Using compressed air to blow off the sanding dust will only redistribute the dust around the workshop and indeed the very finest particles will stay in suspension in the air. At least vacuum off the majority of dust before doing this. ( Maybe you did and we didn't see it ?). Keep posting.
Wow!!! Beautiful!
I laughed when I read "hi-fi," I don't think I've seen that used in 30 years.
I like how you point out something like the brush being too soft, then continue using it because you make do with what you have.
All I can say is…lucky customer
Me, twenty times during this video - “I DIDN’T KNOW THEY MADE A THING THAT DID THAT!!”
Geez oh man!! That’s cRaaaazy cool and beautiful 👍🏼🇺🇸
You're the man!
Very good job. Bravo.
Great work. Thanks for posting
I just love your work and admire you so much.
Outstanding workmanship.
11:30 "Following day..." and 3,000 clamps later. 🤣🤣 Your work is amazing, mate. Love watching what you build.
Absolutely SUPERB!!!
Lovely job dude. I watched your oak door video too. Subscribed. I'm in Manchester. Full time sick now, can't get into the shop after 40 years in the trade. I enjoy watching quality woodworking on YT. Thanks for the entertainment.
Thanks for watching!
1: Watched video. 2: Realised that my gob was open during most of it. 3: Came away feeling inspired. 4: Hit that 'like' button. 5: Hit that 'subscribe' button. 6: Realised that my gob was still open. 7: Posted comment. 8: Buggering off to watch more videos 👍
That's like Frank Lloyd Wright $hit. Going back in time to be ahead of your time. Graceful and timeless. Engineering, Simplicity and Beauty all in one. Cheers!
is there a group of superhero furniture makers out there just i have just now stumbled upon? this is a piece that has me wondering what i the world i'm doing. i either need to start working harder, or sell my tools and take up paint by numbers. this is beautiful. bravo sir.
Work harder, longer and you might clear a pittance!
Roll it on then tip it with a brush... no orange peel look. Nice work as usual.🤔😎🇦🇺👌
STUNNING! 28 minutes of Zen meditation. I was transfixed. Master craftsmanship at its best. A pleasure to watch, thank you. All the best, Rob in Switzerland
Beautiful piece of work!!!! //Lars
Well conceived and superbly executed.
I have never seen such a delightful unit as this one. Your work looks so flawless & is a tribute to your skills, concentration & pursuit of excellence. Your work is so eyewatering & mouth watering to look at. Perhaps there is something special about Yorkshire because my wife of 58 years comes from Yorkshire. Don from South Aust.
Elegant lines. I like it.
Modern and classic at the same time..
Now that is a lovely unit!
What's beyond the imagination capacity of ordinaty peole is a pure work of art .. Cıngrats young man
Stunning!
Incredible and unique looking TV stand, love it!
Pardon the pun but you got your shit nailed down bro.
Your content is super easy and enjoyable to watch. No music banging on or over editing that makes it look like a stop motion.
When exquisite quality speaks, everything else is silent.
i think that you are a really ARTIST ! compliments ;-)
That looks very nice!
Awesome! Great looking unit, something that will last for years and years. Also like the video style, no music, no nonsense just well filmed. Nice job!
Excellent craftsmanship
You are such a talented 👏👏👏
I've done some amateur guitar builds & some furniture as well. I've learnt a lot from Your vids. Thank You.
Your perfectionist approach, attention to tiny details and standard of craftsmanship are inspiring. Stunning!
Also, no annoying 'expert voice-over'...thanks for that. Nice clean workshop, too. Glad I stumbled onto your site!
Warm Greetings from Australia.
those are some beautiful pieces, i really find comfort and peace in watching a true craftsman at work
Wow! Impressive!
Beautiful craftsmanship. Thanks for letting us see you at work
A very original and attractive piece, showing the beauty of the wood to great advantage., Thanks.
It's so good to see that the next generation is taking it to other places. Nice, tasteful job there, with a lot of care taken to finish and solidity. You're on the right path there young man. Very enjoyable watching.
such great work - like your style of presentation too
You said all that was needed to be said, and you picked the perfect background music to comliment the video too. Excellent video, and such a beautiful hifi unit 😀👍
Love this channel. Craftmanship at its best.
I love the work you do. Also I love the fact that You just show everything without some silly comments & stupid pause's like some other people put in their vids. Awesome. Keep it up Man.
WHAT A GREAT JOB MAN. IT IS FANTASTIC. PLEASE CONTINUE TO POST YOUR CREATIONS
it is so interesting watching this channel, you’re so professional, love that front layer, awesome
Excellent job 👍👍
I watched it end to end no break. The final piece was stunning. Thanks for sharing your passion.
Gorgeous!
That is diffinately different. Alot of routering and sanding but the end result is stunning.
lovely piece of work
Beautiful!
I love seeing unique, well-designed furniture coming together, it was a beautiful result. Thank you for sharing it!
Talented young man...👍👍👍
It's beautiful! Looks like a mix of Scandinavian design and Art Deco.
It's a beautiful piece, but there's absolutely nothing Art Deco about it. It's a masterful representation of mid-century modern, a good 3 decades post Art Deco.
It is a true pleasure watching you work. Great job!
I’m new to your channel so I’m lucky to be binging on your old videos. I absolutely love your videos and please keep them coming, looking forward to the next one ps the quality of the finish you achieve on your pieces is stunning.
I love the name!
I am a Yorkshire born and trained Joiner living in the States for the past twenty years....I was also toying with this name for my business...just to get at the fans of Norm!
Great work and and pleasure to see.
Good luck with the future projects,I highly doubt you'll need it!
Impeccable workmanship 👍🏻
Fantastic work, I have just finished a HiFi cabinet and was quite pleased, after seeing this mine looks more like a pile of pallets thrown of the back of lorry.
nowt wrong with rustic furniture, important thing is you made with your own hands!
Absolutely stunning work!
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the clamp stand at 11.27 ??
You are a great artist,.bravo.
Even plywood can be made to look stunning. Absolutely beautiful work. Superb video mate
Beautiful work
What a beautiful piece of furniture. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
A stunning piece of modern furniture, I expect your client was over the moon!!!
This is a design tour de force where the plys become a focal point, very well done.
Lovely piece
that's remarkable. the attention to detail, and the hours of work you put in really paid off.
Congratulations, it is stunningly beautiful. Well done, true masterpiece. Hope that your customer appreciate it with a grant or two as a tip because you deserve it. Best of luck.
