I don't know how often this has occurred with you getting figures for review (I know you have said it thus far with this wave) but I am glad Super7 recognizes what you bring to the table with your reviews. You got me into Mythic Legions, Pixel Dan got me into MOTUC, You, Boog10, and Shartimus got me into Marvel Legends, You and Robo got me into Star Wars Black Series. It's good to see. You all have been entertaining, informative, and have also made me a lot poorer.
Ok. Brian Flynn literally stated that they would not be repeating the shin assembly errors in an interview. So what happened? Ive been so excited for these figures but I just can't trust what the spokesman for the company says. That's inexcusable.
Im just glad i didnt pre order snake mountain .... im done with super 7 . Im closing my account . How come hasbro can up there game on star wars black series at $20 , matt finish & no QC issies but super 7 screw up a figure we've just paid $45 for .... all promise but dont deliver ... theyve sucked us in again ...will we ever learn !!!!!
He so far has lied about a bunch of shit. I can't believe they have had years to fix the shin problem and still didn't even though he said they did. Fuck super 7. No longer getting any of my money.
Great review! I don't know if it only happened to me but at the moment you showed the figure I love his design, the moment I realized he was too tall I got disappointed! For me it is an issue having a huge Jackalman which it is also supposed to be skinny... anyway I appreciate your work, thanks!
Appreciate the review by TB. But I have to say, as excited as I am/was about this line, I'm Super-disappointed by how this figure turned out. I'm generally okay with most issues....e.g., if Jackalman's a bit taller than he should be, it's whatever. But when you consider the accumulation of issues...the missing white paint under the chin (which makes S7's figure *less* cartoon-accurate than Mattel's version) along with the repeat of Mattel's switched/misplaced lower legs problem...it just kind of sucks. It shows a lack of regard for what they're doing and the lack of regard for the property. Especially when we're being asked to pay $45/figure, and at a time like this. Super 7 can and should do better than this. A lot of us want to support this line and have already supported S7. We're not asking for perfection, but at least work on some of the more glaring problems.
Whew, I cancelled my preorder just in time.. After the filmation Teela, I should have known that these wouldn't look as nice as the prototypes. Saved myself a few hundred bucks!
Think I'm gonna have to let this wave ride into the sunset alone 🤷♂️🤦♂️. Thanks for the review you definitely saved me a bit . Still love those boxes though .
After watching all 4 reviews I'm convinced the Super7 must've used the same molds as the Mattel figures with the exception of the added accessories and I'm happy about about it, this is like when they first released their first MOTU Ultimates when that line started the same molds were also used as the Mattel ones. Now starting with wave 2 is when we'll see original Super7 molds for the he figures. This first wave was just an introduction to the line by rereleasing the prior Mattel figures with additional accessories and that just what these are.
man these complaints...how else can it still be done?...thundercats was before my time, but Ive seen how dorky those figures from my older cousins 80s collections...Im looking at my Mattel versions right now & I dont know where the problems that people are finding
Thanks for the review. But I just don't understand Super7 - these took a whole year to make and ship; and at that price point, there are just so many unecessary mistakes. Some of these things they even KNEW before they made them and still messed up. Does no one QC this stuff before and after production?!
@Black Hawk Omega wrong color schemes (which is really not that hard to get right and is just careless), mis-packaged accessories (hands), several engineering errors carried over from Mattel (calves on Jackalman, abdomen on LionO) - which means S7 did not fix anything on these despite statements that they would. Sure, these are just little plastic people, but expensive ones. S7 sure can try a little harder imho
Shinny plastic to start with , shins wrong way around ,unpainted neck , shitty gloss painted fur pouldron ,the eyes arnt as good as hasbro .... QC issues sloppy paint .... all for $45 without shipping charges .... have cancelled . Super 7 wont be pulling my pants down again ....
So we can give Super7 literally a YEAR prior warning about assembly issues with this character........only to have them repeat it. "The bio on the box still references his (Kaynar) name"....well, there goes any hopes for accuracy or research for the bios. Toy Bro; stop making excuses for the inaccurate heights by claiming "influence" from the 2011 one. It's asinine, and you're making yourself a literally WORSE reviewer by doing it. EDIT: I JUST checked with Penny Dreadful, one of the Bio writers: THEY'RE JUST RECYCLING THE MATTYCOLLECTOR BIOS, AND DIDN'T EVEN USE THE NEW BIOS SPECIFICALLY MADE FOR THIS NEW LINE
@@themacewens Yes, voicing a complaint is totally "overracting". Brilliant take. No, there should be no "teehee, look at the 'easter egg' I put in there" nonsense. @@themacewens Yes, how dare I expect the simplest of things on a $50 figure. I don't care if what I said hurts your fee-fees. "Mean" words and telling people how they can do better is far from overreacting. Go play idiot advocate elsewhere, please. You'll get no sympathy for Super7 from me.
@@Lio_Convoy I don't think anyone is paying 45$ for a bunch of words on a box. Now judging how a 6 letter word got your panties in a bunch are you really in a position to be claiming that my "fee fees" are hurt over an outdated reissue of an old figure? I'm just calling things like I se it, like if your comment was about how the articulation is barebones and ugly then we would be in agreement.
I just dont like the shiney plastic, I honestly thought these would be more mat colored, like the animated Neca turtles. They simply look cheap, shame I was really looking forward to these.
Black Hawk Omega same for you. Just because it happened to you doesn’t mean it happened to a lot of people. I rarely see anyone complain about breaks. Here and there but that’s any toy company.
Black Hawk Omega yup. Don’t talk to or follow anything whatsoever related to action figures. I don’t even watch videos about action figures. Is it problem ? Sure but you make it sound like they are like mafex when everything was broken out of the box
I'm not a hard-core collector but after getting my set of wave 1 I think people are to hard on these guys. I do think they are about 10$ too expensive but they are still super cool. And unfortunately I don't see anybody else making these figures
Thanks for the review Toy Bro👍🏻. I think your doing a great job. At the end of the day we are just talking about plastic toys in which any and everyone is ENTITLED to their own opinion. I know you do this because you enjoy doing it. Not to be on any dang list of top greats or bottom performers. Life is just too short to bash and talk to someone ugly because they state something on their "OWN" dern channel. Thanks again, keep doing what you do bro.💪
Love your reviews man (bro) im not interested in these figures but they have reignited my love for the thundercats property. I guess ill go rewatch the cartoon and wait for someone to make highly poseable versions of these characters (in proper scale to each other)
I picked up a toxie ultimate and the quality was crap. However, I picked up a SDCC Baxter and I love that figure, so I'm really all over this place with these figures. These figures are why I started collecting toys again and I'm slightly dissapointed.
That's the main problem with S7. They have some ok figures, but most have qc-problems or paint-problems or there were "factory-issues". There is 0 consistancy between lines or even figures. They then try to cover it up with a twisted explenation. Or Plain old lie so they can still charge full price for their fuck-up's.
I’ve been looking forward to these for a year now. After having seen all 4 figures in the wave I’m reluctantly canceling my preorders. The quality versus price just isn’t there. Too many other lines out right now to justify it. It’s a shame, the prototypes looked amazing, but the paint, articulation, and glaring mistakes and omissions didn’t live up to the promise. Hopefully someone else does this property justice at some point.
Sydwase yeah, I cancelled my 3 waves pre-orders after seeing the review for Lion-O. What a shame, I was really looking forward to this line. 🤷🏽♂️ Mumm-Ra looked good though.
Wow. Not too crazy about these small flubs so far with the shins, Panthro's tights, etc. Things like that shouldn't be a thing, especially considering the time it has taken to get these guys out coupled with the fact that they already had a previous release to improve upon. I have decided just to buy the new ones and keep the Mattel figures MIB, so the imperfections aren't that terrible. I don't think he's taller because of the latest cartoon. That's just a casualty of them using the same buck. I will say, that the vintage figures were HIDEOUS. I can't believe our child's minds were pleased with these after watching the cartoon. Thank goodness for progress.
Hey man, I've been more vocal lately on your S7 Thundercats/Tmnt reviews then I am on any other RUclips channel. These are also my favorite properties, along with Motu. I like your work, you took what you loved and ran with it. My problem here lies completely with S7. They caught my eye when they took over the MOTUC-license. Excited at first, for the line would continue. And then they made one dud after another, each time apologizing and promises of change, but never really delivering but gradually jacking up prices. Then they brought out there Reaction-line with a big woop. Vintage starwars figures from the 70s look better, and again, prices for these bits of plastic almost doubled over time with no noticable improvements in their product. So when I hear you say you got these from S7 for review purposes, I would think you would be a little tougher on them. Just because, you know. Especially with licenses that you love and care about.
Hey super 7 send me the ultimate king diamond figure I'll reveiw it for ya! Great review of jakalman, wanna see a review of slithe, it looks to be an awesome figure.
Great review. So are the lower legs reversed or just the shins?. Could they be fixed by boil & pop, then switch feet? Still more unneccessary work to do on an almost 50 dollar figure but at least it seems fixable. Does Super 7 know how extra hands are supposed to work? Lol
