    Can someone please show how the band is positioned against the door? I can't make holes in my apartment as the landlord won't allow it so I need to see this style where it stays trapped in the door.

    I appreciate ur workout. One bit of constructive criticism from a commoner. I like the workout prepackaged. Meaning I follow as you complete the actual workout with rest periods, setup time, etc. here I did the workout but it was truncated as there was neither rest nor setup time recorded in the video. Hope you take this in the positive spirit I intend it in.

      Usually 60 to 90 seconds rest maybe longer just listen to your body

    I'm not really exercising at the moment. Suspension training seems very interesting, and i just got my Trx. Are these exercises enough, or should i lift weights aswelll? The goal is to get the beach bod of 16'

    Hey Brad , Great video, thanks for posting. I have a question for you. Im an athlete that always kept in shape from sports. I hate going to gyms. recently ive been wanting to add a home gym in my house. I was contemplating something like a bowflex even though im not really a fan of those types of machines. I like the having your whole body engaged when doing exercises, which led me to the TRX. My question is, is this system suitable for a complete workout, this and resistance bands would be all id ever use vs or a bowflex. im already pretty lean and would look more to bulking. thanks in advance.

      nyinfamous2k2 if you go with TRX bands plus a set of dumbells you would be set. But you can get a killer workout in just using the TRX system alone

      +Brad Scott Fitness Great video Brad. I'm a beginner at this. Ordering the bands now. Should I do this 20min workout everyday??? I was thinking of doing it 6 days with 1 day rest. was 306lbs, now at 245lbs and wanna just lose all the fat I can over the next 8 weeks. will doing this workout 6 days/wk for 8 weeks be ok??     Ok, so I gave it a shot. This workout rules big time. I was hanging in there, but my arms failed on the first knee tuck / push up. How often should I do this work out? 3 times a week or more?

      If you have difficulty with some of the movements then 3x a week starting out would be good

    Awesome video. Do you recommend this workout, or even TRX at all for a 15 year old boy? My son is playing basketball and wants to gain some muscle (he's very skinny).

      I suggest that he uses free weights and barbells. He will be able to do each of the following more efficiently: Build muscle (more compound exercises), build more strength (trains nervous system more effectively due to heavier weight), Providing ways to exercise both prime movers and stabilizer muscles. Pretty much TRX bands have a very small range of effectiveness on many levels. Just my opinion. And fact. Lol. But seriously..

      Since he plays basketball, by time he will gain very weak back (all basketball players have problem with weak back including me). If he grows up and gain weight in a rapid way he will have trouble making his back stronger later on. That said I honestly recommend him focusing mostly on the back! Also he can use TRX to gain better jump by working shoulders also.

      What do you mean by low level of effectivenes? I doubt that you even used trx. Since I started to train on them, I quit the gym and I really enjoy training in the nature. I do not use them to gain muscle (there a re better ways), but since I weight 120kgs, this is the only way to work on my back by pulling up my own weight.

      Dukadini you're a year late on this post. But to the statement i've probably not ever used them.. Yes I've used them. I've been a personal trainer for over 4 years also with almost completing exercise science major before switching to biology (more money in biology). I've used them in several of my workout programs for many of my clients who want something different other than what weight training could offer them. There are many things trx bands can offer you and much more exercises than you can imagine for training both power and endurance. I don't remember what he mentioned in the video because it was over a year ago. But I don't care much to watch it again. Trx bands still pale in comparison to weight training on a large scale. You can stimulate fast twitching muscles (power training) much easier with compound lifts using heavy barbell lifts. the compound lifts also involve your nervous system for its heavy lifts, making it much easier to exert a higher amount of force in a smaller amount of time. Regarding low level of effectiveness- i'm talking about amount of work (your muscles receive) out of training with trx bands. You do not lift near as heavy, yes you can lift explosively, but its made for extremely high repetitions or endurance. Yes you would say "well Kyle you said endurance!" yes endurance but keep in mind you can do weight training specific for your sport. I'm sure you've been in college sports and have gone through the training they implement. I assure you most sports wont be hovering around trx bands, especially not in highschool sports which was what the kid in the comment was in. Also just for a note my profile picture is of me in highschool not now .. too lazy to change it. Just an fyi lmao.

      Troy Rakes I have an alternative suspension trainer just as good as a real TRX. Mine is by Max Gym which I got on eBay for about 20 bucks. It works the exact same. TRX is way overpriced!!!

    This is 20 minutes of explanations..for an hour or more of workout... If you don't leave enough time to do repetition it's not a workout.
