    Me paso igual, el mecanico pensaba que era la bateria pero hasta que no se metio debajo y le dio un par de golpes no arranco, me sugirió cambiarlo porque era sintoma de que estaba llegando a su final, no lo hice porque funciono genial toda una semana, ahora mismo esta muerto mi civic en el parqueo 🥲, ya compre un starter nuevo, que segun la similitud con su video sera mi solucion, es un Civic Coupe 2012. Gracias por su contenido

    You are a LEGEND!! just a quick question Danny, did you notice the crank sounding weaker and weaker over time?
    I am noticing mine has gotten weaker and weaker and today it did not start after full crank. but on the second go it did. Planning to take it to the shop tomorrow

    I wish I could hit the starter in my 08 Civic Si but is hidden under intake manifold. I had hard time starting car for a month. Replaced new battery twice within a week and yesterday didn't start anymore, just 1 click. I ordered a remanufactured one from Ebay with 1 year warranty for $109. I couldn't afford new one from honda at $580 or ones from autoparts from $250 to $350. Hope it works and lasts me until car dies.

    If my car has the same type of problem but my car starts with a jump the starter isn’t the problem right? I bought a new battery aswell and took off some corrosion aswell my alternator is fine

    Sir great video, curious did you install a honda starter or aftermarket and how many miles on car when starter failed,. thks

    • @dannysdiygarage
      @dannysdiygarage  2 года назад

      Great question, the car had approximately 150,000 when the started failed, I purchased aftermarket from O’Reilly auto parts with lifetime warranty,, the starter looked and fit perfectly just like oem. This wasn’t a easy installation, I wish I would have filmed it, but I was in a hurry to get the car back on the road, the car now has 170,000

      I’m lucky the car broke down in my garage, I’m not a big fan of working on the ground, I was going to film the replacement, however there was no room for a camera to show what went on, but yes it was tight, sounds like you’ve done it before

    How does the wiring connecter unplug. Also; did you remove the passenger side tire to access the starter.

    • @dannysdiygarage
      @dannysdiygarage  2 года назад +1

      There are two wires, one has a nut, and the other pulls off, make sure the battery is disconnected, no tires were removed, it’s a difficult job, there’s no much room

      I try to use Honda parts as much as I can, but I used a Oreilly starter, I was impressed, looked exactly the same and all the brackets were there, and it worked

    Hello Dannys DIY Garage!
    This is Nove from AISKITS, I watched your channel it’s really exciting and impressive.
    This is a newly launched LED headlight! You can see this LED headlight, is not cool?it is our latest development of a product!
    In the United States, there are many classic cars, they are our closest partners! Now they may need some upgrades to accompany us better.
    Replacing and upgrading our headlights does more than making driving safer. They improve the look of your vehicle as well as its performance. LED bulbs have a lower power pull on your vehicle’s battery and system. They also give our vehicle a fresh and new feel with bright white light.
    I was wondering if you could do a share for it on your RUclips:
    • Introduction
    • Overview of features
    • Actual driving footage with the bulbs
    • Amazon link on the description for viewers interested in buying the product."
    Please let me know if this is OK with you. Really looking forward to working with you.
    Best wish,
    Nove
