I have just discovered you today and I really like your videos . I started from the "learning how to draw " series. I want to learn how to draw and how to paint but I am on the search of a teacher or school. This would be perfect to be able to attend the school of fine arts, but I am already working as a dentist and I don't know how I will find the time :( Anyways, you are doing a really great job! Keep on :)
I can appreciate that you aren't drawing amazing things in these tutorials. By that I mean, it's rather simple and closer to what I would draw, and that makes it a lot easier to understand I think. Usually I give up trying to draw pretty early on because I get frustrated that I can't draw as well as the teacher. How's your drawing going? I just started a couple of weeks ago at age 24 hehe :). I already have a job in the entertainment industry but I wanna draw/animate in the future, hoping it's not too late.
tabundo001 I don't practice enough, but when I do, I surprise myself - there's a lesson there somewhere! Looking at something I've drawn and being proud enough to show somebody instead of saying "No, useless - I can't do this!" is rather magical.
I stumbled upon this video this morning and I can't imagine what a jackpot I've hit! Thank you so much for this lesson and of course all of your other lessons. This has been the best.
I enjoy these so much it's so easy to follow I might just be stupid but there's times where i'll watch a tutorial for art techniques and something will be described and for whatever reason it just goes over my head but following this I fully got what I needed to do and honestly got a tiny bit emotional after accomplishing it I tend to get easily frustrated with my drawing I get weirdly OCD with as I'm sure a lot of people do but I pushed myself passed that mindset and applied these methods and it came out looking decent i've essentially proved to myself that if I apply myself I can do this I can become better at art so thank you for these videos
Whenever I watch your sketching tutorials, I feel okay to make mistakes and mess up. My eraser is always ready, but I feel like I could make my sketches really rough and it'll be a-okay. And thank you so much for making these tutorials free. You certainly could've made money with your tutorials, but that would've cut off access for a lot of people. So again, thank you!!!
Its definitely pay to make mistakes, that’s the way to learn! And absolutely, I want to reach as many people as possible, not monetize my audience :) although I do make money from RUclips but its free for you to watch! Best of both worlds.
I could draw well since I was a kid, but I was never trained formally. I stumbled upon this video this morning and I can't imagine what a jackpot I've hit! Thank you so much for this lesson and of course all of your other lessons. This has been the best.
Now i know how to draw
I enjoy these so much it's so easy to follow I might just be stupid but there's times where i'll watch a tutorial for art techniques and something will be described and for whatever reason it just goes over my head but following this I fully got what I needed to do and honestly got a tiny bit emotional after accomplishing it I tend to get easily frustrated with my drawing I get weirdly OCD with as I'm sure a lot of people do but I pushed myself passed that mindset and applied these methods and it came out looking decent i've essentially proved to myself that if I apply myself I can do this I can become better at art so thank you for these videos
Please this is translate in Hindi ...
Thank you for all the time you spend sharing your knowledge. Each lesson has been such a help.
I could draw well since I was a kid, but I was never trained formally. In my 20s now, I was still drawing caricatures like I used to when I was 7, until I recently decided to refine my skills properly. Your drawing series are JUST what I needed. I can feel my technique improve just with the first 4 videos in this series. Huge thanks to you! Love from Singapore
So glad to hear that :) Good luck with your art! I can't wait to come to Singapore one day, and Malaysia too. Do you speak Malay? Apa khabar?
@@SchaeferArt Wonderful! You should definitely visit! I'm not Malay, so I don't speak Malay well, but I do know a few phrases. Singapore and Malaysia are multiethnic (primarily comprising of Chinese, Indians and Malays, as well as other races), so we know a bit of one-another's languages :)
You’re the best RUclips method teacher I’ve ever seen
I like how you simplify your drawings for people like me who are learning how to draw. Thank you.
I'm making my way through the whole series of Learning to Draw, I've found these to be very useful and helpful. I've just started to learn to draw. This one, on perspective, has been a real eye opener; thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Im so glad these videos exist. I needed something this simple because i just started drawing
I'm watching your videos to improve my drawing skills and eventually learn to paint and they have been very helpful and easy to follow so far. Thank you!
the way you make it seem like it is sooo simple and easy is perfect!
My teacher in art class makes this sooooooo complicated whereas your demonstration and explanation is waaaay understandable and. simple. Thank you!
Thank you! You've given me more direction and understanding than anything else I've read or watched!
I love the way you give us the information in small chunks, i follow your teaching, then practise each lesson,
This video got me excited like a 6 year old who saw rainbow for the first time. How easy and simple you make it ❤ I am so excited to draw all these drawing I've in my mind, yayyyy!!!! Thanks a lot buddy!
I used this lesson of yours in an art exam about 3-4 years back and got an A on it. Thanks a lot!
Thanks for providing the basic tools. Many are missing them. Excelling by hiding the tools from others is not the way to win the race. Winning the race by creating something unique by using those tools is the true spirit of winning thus helping the entire humanity with best quality work
