    No router : so I’m going off my data you guys and have an iPhone 📱 go to WiFi settings on your phone. The printer name should pop up and connect if it asks for a password it’s the serial number on the back of the printer . Hope this helps someone.

    OMG! I received this printer for Christmas and I’m just NOW finding a video on how to properly set it up! I almost went and bought another printer because I struggled with setting up the WIFI

    Worked for me. Simple. This video was extremely helpful.
    1. Turn on printer and Press the tablet looking button on the printer. Wait for 2 bars to show on the printer screen.
    2. Go to wifi and connect to canon wifi. The wifi icon will not show once connected, but it is connected.
    3. Download the Canon print app and go to app. It will prompt you to choose YOUR wifi connection and then put password of YOUR wifi, not a made up password.
    4. wait 30 seconds. and behold, its connected.

    It just gets stuck on the
    "Acquiring printer information" ...then nothing. This printer sucks

      I'm having the same issue. But when I try to call tech support, the recording says they are closed. It's 9:51 a.m. EST!!! Why are they closed? And I have to agree....THIS PRINTER SUCKS!!! I have NEVER had this many issues with a printer in my life!!

      Hi, I have to reconnect my printer every day. Am trying to connect it with my mobile. Have left it on at night time in the hope I do not need to go through it again. Is it normal that it disconnects each day?? I had an HP printer. Had lots of problems with that hence went for the Cannon. I live in England, not sure if there is a contact number for the UK.     Oh my gosh thank u sooo much I’ve been trying to work out how this printer works I’m literally subscribing thank uuuu
    Update: ok so I’m literally jumping with joy and I know I sound dumb cause it’s just a printer but u don’t understand how much this video helped me my dad got my older sister a printer to print some paper for my parents and for school and I’ve been trying for YEARS I’m not lying like probably from 2020 to print something but I’m that dumb so I couldn’t figure out and I know I should’ve told my sister to do it for me but if she knew I touched her printer she will legit kill me for no reason the only reason im happy I figured it out and im so happy is because I started journaling in the past months and I wanted to print something for my journal to look cute and stuff and I finally did it thank u canon for this video ❤

    It is not working for me I turned it on,put the ink in,put the paper on the paper support, lifted the black thing up and the compartment, and don’t know what else to do! I think I’m interested in having a full video on how to do everything once taking it out the box.

    We bought this for my daughter to take to college. And let me just say that as someone who came from the dark ages of computer technology in the mid 80s to mid 90s (it was quite literally the Wild West never knowing what worked or didn’t - older geeks will remember), this is absolutely the single worst device I’ve ever tried to use. Hands down. The printer itself won’t connect to anything. And the app you download to use it is even worse. It gets stuck on adding password prompts & just sits there. Close the app reopen it & it does the same thing. Tried every video to setup the printer again & nothing. Uninstalled app then reinstalled same thing. Nothing works.
    Whoever designed this lemon & programmed its software needs to be fired immediately! McDonalds hourly employees are more helpful than your tech support & should be paid more. Truly a piece of junk!
    DO. NOT. BUY. THIS. JUNK.
    Save yourself the headaches people. The reviews are terrible & it’s not worth saving a few dollars. Get an HP.

    When I try to connect the printer to our WiFi it doesn’t work and when I turn on the printer there is a yellow like caution sign that looks like this: ⚠️.

    It was originally easy until my phone was stolen so I had to use this to reset it up for my new phone and it totally did everything itself it made its own password and all!

    I am returning this printer and refuse to do business with Canon in future printer info. This is a very disappointing experience dealing with this product and different from Canon cameras. I would not recommend this experience to any peers or future college students that relay on printers. During this COVID-19 lockdowns, I rely heavily on at home computers since public computers are closed. Unforatanly, this experience has resulted in a tarnished reputation of Canon products. I will definitely be hesitant or refrain from using other Canon products in the future. In future products, please create setup easy because complex set up for wireless connection is not up to standards of other Canon products. 0 out of 10. Thank you.

    Doesn’t work
    Keeps saying “failed to connect to printer”
    And the printer keeps showing up as a TS3100 on the WiFi settings and not what it’s supposed to be as TS3122

    Hey there, I have a Canon Pixma MG2450 and I get the error code 1700 (Ink absorber is almost full code). I have changed the ink absorber but still, the code persists. Is there a procedure to erase error codes? Thank you.

      Hi, Bri! Your PIXMA TS3122 has built-in wireless capabilities that don't require an adapter. The printer can communicate with your iOS device via a wireless router, and if a router isn't an option, the printer can communicate with your iOS device directly when you put the printer in Access Point Mode. Your printer's instruction manual goes into greater detail on how to activate that feature.

      Hi, Nallely! If you would rather not use a router, your mobile devices can each communicate directly with your PIXMA TS3122 without the need for a router. Check your printer's manual for information on its Wireless Direct (Access Point Mode) feature.

    Mine connects fine but as soon as I’m about to print the app closes on me worst printer ever

    If it says that it has a direct feature it should work!! The app closes every time you try to print something also its telling me that I can print and then it tells me that the connection is lost or something like that

    I got it connected and now it won’t print omg I’ve never been so frustrated!! Trying to sit up my baby boys first birthday by printing stuff off and I can’t get this damn thing to work!! Not even on my laptop I just don’t understand!!! I’m going on three hours doing this!!

    Mine asks for a password on when i try to conncet ot to a phone the password that it shows on tbe info page dosent work cannon engineers are stupid i bought this thing to prin not struggle with it connceting to wifi.

      Hi! Your printer's password is most likely its serial number. You'll find that on a white label on the back of the unit and it's comprised of 4 letters followed by 5 numbers (example ABCD12345).

      Hi, Debbie! When a router isn't an option, your PIXMA TS3122 can communicate directly with your iOS device using the printer's Wireless Direct feature, also known as Access Point Mode. The manual covers this feature in greater detail.

    I don’t have a router. Can I print with an iPhone using my data? Like I don’t have internet in my home, just an iPhone.

      If a wireless router is unavailable, your PIXMA TS3122 can still use Wi-Fi to communicate with your iPhone when the printer is used as an access point. Make sure you've got the free Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app on your phone and it should guide you through the setup.

      Hi! Your PIXMA TS3122 is programmed to display 4-digit error codes. The only error code we know of with that number combination is "1430," and that error code means that the ink cartridge is not recognized. To correct it, make sure you're using genuine Canon ink cartridges and that each one is fully installed. Also make sure that all of the strips of orange protective tape have been removed from the cartridge.
