I bought the TS3300 because the black ink cartridge was $35.00 and the TS330 was $39.00 so I bought the new printer so after trying to set it up for two hours I took the color and black cartridges out and put them into the old canon and pitched the TS3300.

I just bought a Canon Pixma Printer TS3122 a few days ago and I have an older laptop with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit operating system and It will not allow me to install the software from the disk or ij.start.canon. "Easy connection" is a relative term in dealing with this printer. Nothing easy about it and we've own many brands/printers over the years. This is our first Cannon and likely will be our last. Still trying to figure out -what- the issue is six hours later. I imagine you'd spend a couple of hours via phone with tech support. Does anyone know if Tech Support is US Based? Or is it outsourced into a country where English is not a first language?

We remember that you mentioned that your router doesn't have a WPS button, so your router probably has a web-based control panel. We recommend that you check that as there's a good chance there's a digital equivalent of a WPS button there which will allow you to get your PIXMA TS3122 set up on your wireless network. You can read more about how to do this at canon.us/hsp5r Once you've successfully done that, your Chromebook should be able to see your printer on the network, and you'll need to use Google Cloud Print to get the Chromebook and your printer to properly talk to each other. Lol! Why such bit deal? Why not a simple way! I don’t have a computer with windows 10 and the website us asking for that system + plus it directed me into a different way which is the printer has to be connected to the internet! Well if it conectes to the internet and if i knew how to connect to the internet why would I use the laptop! Now it’s just setting there tried everything but it’s not appearing on the app and it needs to connect to the internet! Should it just connect to the wifi or should I just find it in my wifi list of connections? 😫

I'm trying to enter the password for the wifi (which took me over 2 days to get connected) and it says that the printer does not support 5GHz wifi? I don't even know how else I would connect to the internet. A WASTE!

Hi! While your PIXMA TS3122 can print on 8" x 10" paper, you'll probably need to specify this as a custom paper size as the printer will not have a preset for it. When printing from your computer, choose the option for a custom paper size and specify the paper's dimensions. Your printer should be able to handle it after that. We hope this helps!

Access point mode allows you to print or scan by connecting the machine to a device such as a computer, smartphone, or tablet via wireless connection in an environment where a wireless router is not available.In addition, you can connect the machine to a device without a wireless router even where it is available.
When the light flashes it will display a letter and 2 number on the little display area. Look at what it says (ex E38) and look up what that code means

The video says to hit "STOP" if the power light is flashing. Even it the light isn't flashing, hit 'STOP' anyway, then the phone icon will flash in the printer window

I bought this printer ruclips.net/user/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 to replace an aging HP printer. It is just used for casual home printing so I don't need anything more. Installation went easily though the HP Smart Printing doesn't work well with our laptops - having to select the actual device. Will have to see how the HP Instant Ink program works out. Plus haven't been able to set up printing from smartphone yet - either direct or WiFi
Took a full day of this being on before it stopped giving me false directions because finding out that I should never had pressed the direct button seriously upset me

I bought the TS3300 because the black ink cartridge was $35.00 and the TS330 was $39.00 so I bought the new printer so after trying to set it up for two hours I took the color and black cartridges out and put them into the old canon and pitched the TS3300.

Don't worry, I know from experience that a degree in engineering will not help you in the setup of this printer. It is above even us.

I just bought a Canon Pixma Printer TS3122 a few days ago and I have an older laptop with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit operating system and It will not allow me to install the software from the disk or ij.start.canon. The error I am getting is this program cannot be used with the current operating system. However, in the manual it looks like if I have Windows 7 I should be able to connect my laptop to my printer? As an alternative, visit canon.us/brjb4 where you can select your specific version of Windows if the site doesn't already detect it automatically. "Easy connection" is a relative term in dealing with this printer. Nothing easy about it and we've own many brands/printers over the years. This is our first Cannon and likely will be our last. Still trying to figure out -what- the issue is six hours later. I imagine you'd spend a couple of hours via phone with tech support. Does anyone know if Tech Support is US Based? Or is it outsourced into a country where English is not a first language?

How do I actually print something from, say, the Internet or my files?

If your printer is already fully set up on your devices, you should be able to print from any application that offers a print function. Whenever you initiate a print job from within the application, a dialogue box should come up generated by your PIXMA TS3122 allowing you to check your print options before the print job gets underway.

Hi, Patrick! The instructions in this video are specific to Windows computers, and the Chromebook uses a different operating system. We remember that you mentioned that your router doesn't have a WPS button, so your router probably has a web-based control panel. We recommend that you check that as there's a good chance there's a digital equivalent of a WPS button there which will allow you to get your PIXMA TS3122 set up on your wireless network. Once you've successfully done that, your Chromebook should be able to see your printer on the network, and you'll need to use Google Cloud Print to get the Chromebook and your printer to properly talk to each other.

I don’t have a computer with windows 10 and the website us asking for that system + plus it directed me into a different way which is the printer has to be connected to the internet! Well if it conectes to the internet and if i knew how to connect to the internet why would I use the laptop!
Now it’s just setting there tried everything but it’s not appearing on the app and it needs to connect to the internet! Should it just connect to the wifi or should I just find it in my wifi list of connections?

Keep in mind that a lot of the software is designed for use worldwide and it will often refer to the printer as the PIXMA MG3100 and that's okay.

Hi! If you're using Wi-Fi, then you have a wireless router. If you're not sure about your router's capabilities, we recommend checking its instruction manual for more information. You can also contact the manufacturer if you own the router or contact your internet service provider if you're renting it from them.

Hi, Juan! To check the IP address for your PIXMA TS3122, make sure you have at least 2 sheets of letter-sized paper loaded into your printer and then press the "i" button on the printer. This will print out all of the network information pertaining to your printer including the printer's IP address.

Hi! While your PIXMA TS3122 can print on 8" x 10" paper, you'll probably need to specify this as a custom paper size as the printer will not have a preset for it. When printing from your computer, choose the option for a custom paper size and specify the paper's dimensions. Your printer should be able to handle it after that.

Access point mode allows you to print or scan by connecting the machine to a device such as a computer, smartphone, or tablet via wireless connection in an environment where a wireless router is not available.In addition, you can connect the machine to a device without a wireless router even where it is available.

When the light flashes it will display a letter and 2 number on the little display area. Look at what it says (ex E38) and look up what that code means

The video says to hit "STOP" if the power light is flashing. Even it the light isn't flashing, hit 'STOP' anyway, then the phone icon will flash in the printer window

I bought this printer ruclips.net/user/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 to replace an aging HP printer. It is just used for casual home printing so I don't need anything more. Installation went easily though the HP Smart Printing doesn't work well with our laptops - having to select the actual device. Will have to see how the HP Instant Ink program works out. Plus haven't been able to set up printing from smartphone yet - either direct or WiFi
Took a full day of this being on before it stopped giving me false directions because finding out that I should never had pressed the direct button seriously upset me

Hello Jose! Although browser based operating systems are not supported, the PIXMA TS3122 does support Google Cloud Print, allowing users to print from Gmail, Google Docs and other applications that are Cloud Print ready.

Hello again! You would first need to get your PIXMA TS3122 set up on your network, and this exact process may vary depending on your router and how your network is configured.
Once it's on your network, you should be able to use your Chromebook to access Google Cloud Print. You should find your PIXMA TS3122 as an available printer choice.
