I was so frustrated that it wouldn't connect to wifi. Your video helped me immensely. Also, I just needed to change the paper size. Again, I assumed 8.5 by 11 was the default. I had this printer previously installed but moved and thought I would just need to plug it and turn it on and i’d be good to go..WRONG, it needed to connect to my new network for which I couldn’t get it to do. Thank you SO much. I had to redo my printer to computer after I had to have my computer worked on. My computer doctor had to reload my Windows operating system but was able to keep all my files (yay). But I could not get my printer to work with my computer. So basically all I had was a copy machine. Wasn't getting any answers online until...dada da dummmm.... your video. The first time was not successful. Scratching my head I thought...ok what is wrong. So with a little bit of guess work, I thought OH, he kept all my files. So I went into my programs and features and deleted all my canon files. Went back to set it up again, only not with the first-time setup choice. Worded like a charm. Thank you for your video... you earned another subscriber. 😀

No matter what I do, I cannot get it connect. I have been trying for hours. Printer is with 3 feet of router and I unplugged all other wireless devices nearby. I select my wifi from the list provided on the app and then it says “ saving.. this may take more than 30 seconds”. While attempting to connect to my wifi, the yellow error light lights up on the printer with error code e36, which is the easy wireless connect has failed code. After this, it proceeds to the “Register Printer” page where I’m supposed to wait for my printer to appear, which it never does. I’ve tried connecting my IPhone and my laptop (windows) and neither will connect. Plz help
Suggestions: 1) Make sure you are using the correct wifi password for your network during the setup steps. 2) Try turning off and back on all network devices...printer, wifi router/modem, smartphone, computer, tablet..etc. Then once all network devices are back on again, one more time power off and back on your printer. Then try going through the set up steps as shown in my video.

Nick, After the download screen, it does not advance to the “acquiring information” screen. Instead it asks if I want Canon to make changes to my computer. If I click yes a message appears saying”Can’t create output file”. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Thanks for the video. It helped enough to get my computer connected to wifi and I was able to print a test page from the setup process. BUT, when I go to print anything else it says printer is offline. I'm so confused.

Since this printer was connected to a different wifi router/internet service in the past, you will need to first reset the LAN/WiFi settings on the printer. Can you help me it doesn’t give me a software to download I’m using a chrome book btw. Also when I try adding it, it asks for model and it gives me options like canon bj, canon bjc, or something else and I would really like to know what the model for this printer is
Chromebooks don't use Windows print drivers (so there is no download option) you will need to use Google Cloud Print for printers and the Canon TS3322 wireless printer supports Cloud printing.
First Suggestion: try moving your printer closer to your router. Second suggestion: Try resetting your Canon printer wifi. Then go through the setup steps again as shown in my video. Here's a link that shows you how to reset the printer wifi: support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART175518
You will only need to perform the WiFi setup once unless the printer is placed on different WiFi network or a different WiFi router then you would have to once again perform a WiFi printer setup.
Unfortunately it did not work for me. I got to the step where the computer is looking for the printer and it can't find it. (At 3:57 in your video) From the diagram it looks like the printer has to first be connected to a router. Is that correct? Does the printer have to be connected to a router for these instructions to work? PS I use a MacBook
Does this printer have a usb cable plug on the back of it so I can set it up without using my wifi? I don’t need the wireless option as I only print from my computer.
It absolutely has a USB printer cable port. However, you will need to purchase a USB printer cable separately since one is not included with the printer.
@@nickscomputerfix Thank you so much for the quick reply. I figured it had to have one, and it seemed like the set up instructions gives you that option. Some people said it didn’t have a plug in. So I was confused. I had a basic Canon IP2600 and I’m hoping its usb cable can be used with this one. I really don’t need the wifi connection to my iPhone or iPad as I know I would never print from them. I would rather just use my computer because it has good security on it and most of my printing is from my word perfect windows. The articles on hackers hacking wireless printers scares me also.

If you go into Printer Preferences before you print, you can change the printer settings to print only using the black ink cartridge #245 and not use the color ink cartridge #246.
Are you able to change the printer settings like set it to draft so it doesn’t use so much black ink I don’t have a computer so I only use my smart phone and I haven’t been able to find it through the app any help would be appreciated
In some smartphone apps that you are printing a document from, you will be able to go to print settings within that phone app and select to print with the black ink cartridge only. However, in some apps, that setting is not available within the app. That setting really depends on the phone app you are using to print your document. Some let you and some don't.
@@nickscomputerfix im using the regular canon app it tells you to download. I literally have same exact printer u showed in video. After only a few printed return labels the black ink says its low. However ive read a comment from someone who said to turn settings to draft.
@@nickscomputerfix I also read someone said they got the black ink levels low message and he says it kept working for awhile after that. Basically canons way of geting you to buy ink when you really dont need to yet. I believe it.
First of all thank you for the video. My printer was working perfectly before changing updating my internet modem. Now it's not working and I tried to set up again but the printer is not detecting my router name. And sadly there is no direct cable port to connect with the modem. I think this printer supports only 2.4gz and not 5gz. Help me..
Did you try the "Direct Button" on the printer? And then go through the setup again on your computer as shown in my video. You should not have to install the printer driver again unless it's a different computer/laptop that does not have it installed. Power the printer on > then press the Setup button in the LCD menu until 17 appears on the LCD > then press the Black button or the Color button once. The go back through the setup procecure again as shown in my video.
Hi again, I have a Dell all in one with Windows 10. I put in an original disk for Office 2007 after the Windows 10 install. Now I get a black screen with nothing else and I can hear the computer churning and I see the blue circle going round and round. Nick, do you know what's wrong with this thing? I have the TS3522 model, when ever i go into that site to install the wireless set up. I get an error saying that i cant open up the disc file to complete the set up. Any help?
1) If you are attempting to setup and install the printer driver with a CD/DVD don't. Best to download the complete printer driver package from Canons website to get the latest driver. 2) If you have had multiple printers in the past on the same computer/laptop and have installed different printer drivers as well, I suggest going to "Apps and Features" in settings and uninstall any or all Canon apps and printer drivers first. Then perform the setup and install as suggested in step (1) and also as shown in my video.
It's most likely your wifi connection to your wifi router giving you a problem. Suggestions: 1) Try moving your printer closer to your wifi router/modem. 2) Try turning off and back on your wifi router/modem once. 3) Make sure you are using your correct wifi password to your wifi router/modem during the setup steps.
Can you help with fixing the ink cartridge not being recognized? I’ve replaced it and went and bought a new one because it said the cartridge might be default. But it’s still not being recognized.
1) Is the ink cartridge being seated correctly? "Canon PIXMA MG2522 | PIXMA TS3322: How to Replace/Change Ink Cartridges" ruclips.net/video/gCL99eDqNXs/видео.html 2) Is the new replacement ink cartridge a Genuine Canon ink cartridge and is it the correct part number?
You might not be getting a strong enough WiFi signal. Try relocating the printer closer to your WiFi router/modem and then go through the setup process again as shown in my video. Also make sure you are using the correct WiFi password for your WiFi network.
@@nickscomputerfix I fixed it thank you 😊 My dummy butt had different wifi names. You know how wifi comes with a regular name then a regular name plus 5g?. They just didn't match.
I printed about ten pages of text in black only and it said low ink. It was a brand new cartridge. Is that normal? Is there a way to get more out of the cartridge?
Ink cartridge 245 black XL will give you more page prints then a starter or regular cartridge. Keep in mind it's not how many pages you print but how much ink is being use on each page. Text with images use more ink per page then text only pages that are printed.
I have a ts3300. It shows it is connected to wifi but it disconnects from my computer almost everyday. I have to re-download the setup/ wifi every time I want to use my printer. Do you have any idea what is going on? I am going crazy here.
If this is happening, it actually disconnects from your WiFi network and not your computer. It just may be as easy as moving your printer closer to your WiFi router/modem or even just moving it to a different spot in the same room as it presently is located and see if if begins working better.
1) Make sure you have the printer connected to your wifi network. Did you go through the wifi setup steps? Did you use the correct wifi password for your wifi router connecrtion? 2) You can try moving the printer closer to your wifi router and then see if your MacBook can see the printer.
I get to the part where it asks if I want to set up printer to wireless router and then everything just goes south from there. Like it isn't asking for the password or anything, it just does the spinny thinking for a minute and then says it can't detect laptop. I've set this printer up before on an old laptop on a different router, but since I moved and got new internet and laptop it doesn't want to connect

I'm having problems setting up the wifi part. It keeps telling me my network security key isn't correct, but i check it, it is correct. Please help me.
1) The network security key is your existing WiFi password (double check it) that you presently use to connect your computer/laptop, tablets, smartphone, smart TV...etc to your primary router/modem. 2) In order to ensure that your wireless printer shows up in your wifi list during the set up procedure it's best to move it close to your wifi router/modem to get the strongest signal. You can then relocate it elsewhere after the set up is completed. 3) If you are using a Chromebook don't use Windows print drivers, you will need to use Google Cloud Print for printers and the Canon TS3322 wireless printer supports Cloud printing.
@@nickscomputerfix what if you have no router. For instance I’m trying to get my printer to connect wirelessly at my University , so I’m on a shared connection and it came with no type A usb cable
It didn’t go to internet password on mine it skip that and went straight to disconnecting internet and that was it then it goes to can’t connect every time I try it skip the internet password and say can’t connect. Now the booklet it came with said it a TS3500 but the box said TS3522
Suggestion: 1) Try resetting the wifi printer configuration back to default settings. 2) When setting up the wifi printer connection make sure you are using your correct wifi password that you use to connect other devices, phone, laptop,...etc to your primary wifi router/modem.
I am getting frustrated after the download pops up and I click to open...a box pops up that say something about Setup with TS3300 something about Windows 10 in S Mode...i think I might just purchase a wire to connect..Its really simple but this problem is making it complicated.
I had to figure it out on my own as well with no wire, Thank God! That windows 10 S just stops the progress! I deleted it but by accident in the printer connected right away
Yea, you have to turn on the S mode with windows 10 to do it. Its so weird and annoying, but turning that off actually helps with a lot of different downloads.
Just a heads up, if you have a Comcast/Xfinity modem, set the WiFi of the computer you're setting up to connect to the 2.5GHz WiFi NOT the 5.0GHz WiFi! This printer can't detect the 5.0GHz. And it won't let you set it up. Had to to that to my PC and phone in order to set it up.

At 3:25 you get an option for Wi-Fi. I do not get that option - only USB. I have the exact same model. Any idea what's causing this?

It absolutely has a USB printer cable port. However, you will need to purchase a USB printer cable separately since one is not included with the printer.
@@nickscomputerfix Thank you so much for the quick reply. I figured it had to have one, and it seemed like the set up instructions gives you that option. Some people said it didn’t have a plug in. So I was confused. I had a basic Canon IP2600 and I’m hoping its usb cable can be used with this one. I really don’t need the wifi connection to my iPhone or iPad as I know I would never print from them. I would rather just use my computer because it has good security on it and most of my printing is from my word perfect windows. The articles on hackers hacking wireless printers scares me also.

If you go into Printer Preferences before you print, you can change the printer settings to print only using the black ink cartridge #245 and not use the color ink cartridge #246.

Are you able to change the printer settings like set it to draft so it doesn’t use so much black ink I don’t have a computer so I only use my smart phone and I haven’t been able to find it through the app any help would be appreciated
In some smartphone apps that you are printing a document from, you will be able to go to print settings within that phone app and select to print with the black ink cartridge only. However, in some apps, that setting is not available within the app. That setting really depends on the phone app you are using to print your document. Some let you and some don't.
@@nickscomputerfix im using the regular canon app it tells you to download. I literally have same exact printer u showed in video. After only a few printed return labels the black ink says its low. However ive read a comment from someone who said to turn settings to draft.

I also read someone said they got the black ink levels low message and he says it kept working for awhile after that. Basically canons way of geting you to buy ink when you really dont need to yet. I believe it.
First of all thank you for the video. My printer was working perfectly before changing updating my internet modem. Now it's not working and I tried to set up again but the printer is not detecting my router name. And sadly there is no direct cable port to connect with the modem. I think this printer supports only 2.4gz and not 5gz. Help me..
Did you try the "Direct Button" on the printer? And then go through the setup again on your computer as shown in my video. You should not have to install the printer driver again unless it's a different computer/laptop that does not have it installed. @@nickscomputerfix yes I did followed the steps thousand times and know to how to set it up. But somehow I am still getting an error. I have upgraded my modem and after that the printer couldn't find my modem name and can't connect it to my modem.

Power the printer on > then press the Setup button in the LCD menu until 17 appears on the LCD > then press the Black button or the Color button once. The go back through the setup procecure again as shown in my video.

Hi again, I have a Dell all in one with Windows 10. I put in an original disk for Office 2007 after the Windows 10 install. Now I get a black screen with nothing else and I can hear the computer churning and I see the blue circle going round and round. Nick, do you know what's wrong with this thing? It was fine before they Office install. Appreciate you brother.

I have the TS3522 model, when ever i go into that site to install the wireless set up. I get an error saying that i cant open up the disc file to complete the set up. Any help?
1) If you are attempting to setup and install the printer driver with a CD/DVD don't. Best to download the complete printer driver package from Canons website to get the latest driver. 2) If you have had multiple printers in the past on the same computer/laptop and have installed different printer drivers as well, I suggest going to "Apps and Features" in settings and uninstall any or all Canon apps and printer drivers first. Then perform the setup and install as suggested in step (1) and also as shown in my video.

It's most likely your wifi connection to your wifi router giving you a problem. Suggestions: 1) Try moving your printer closer to your wifi router/modem. 2) Try turning off and back on your wifi router/modem once. 3) Make sure you are using your correct wifi password to your wifi router/modem during the setup steps.

I’ve replaced it and went and bought a new one because it said the cartridge might be default. But it’s still not being recognized.

What if after it detects my wifi it fails to connect? It doesnt even get to the part where I have to enter my wifi password.
You might not be getting a strong enough WiFi signal. Try relocating the printer closer to your WiFi router/modem and then go through the setup process again as shown in my video. Also make sure you are using the correct WiFi password for your WiFi network.

I printed about ten pages of text in black only and it said low ink. It was a brand new cartridge. Is that normal? Is there a way to get more out of the cartridge?
Ink cartridge 245 black XL will give you more page prints then a starter or regular cartridge. Keep in mind it's not how many pages you print but how much ink is being use on each page. Text with images use more ink per page then text only pages that are printed.

I have a ts3300. It shows it is connected to wifi but it disconnects from my computer almost everyday. I have to re-download the setup/ wifi every time I want to use my printer. Do you have any idea what is going on? I am going crazy here.
If this is happening, it actually disconnects from your WiFi network and not your computer. It just may be as easy as moving your printer closer to your WiFi router/modem or even just moving it to a different spot in the same room as it presently is located and see if if begins working better.

1) Make sure you have the printer connected to your wifi network. Did you go through the wifi setup steps? Did you use the correct wifi password for your wifi router connecrtion? 2) You can try moving the printer closer to your wifi router and then see if your MacBook can see the printer.

I get to the part where it asks if I want to set up printer to wireless router and then everything just goes south from there. Like it isn't asking for the password or anything, it just does the spinny thinking for a minute and then says it can't detect laptop.

Since this printer was connected to a different wifi router in the past, you will need to first reset the LAN/WiFi settings on the printer. Then go through the setup again as shown in my video. 1) The network security key is your existing WiFi password (double check it) that you presently use to connect your computer/laptop, tablets, smartphone, smart TV...etc to your primary router/modem. 2) In order to ensure that your wireless printer shows up in your wifi list during the set up procedure it's best to move it close to your wifi router/modem to get the strongest signal. You can then relocate it elsewhere after the set up is completed. 3) If you are using a Chromebook don't use Windows print drivers, you will need to use Google Cloud Print for printers and the Canon TS3322 wireless printer supports Cloud printing.

It didn’t go to internet password on mine it skip that and went straight to disconnecting internet and that was it then it goes to can’t connect every time I try it skip the internet password and say can’t connect. Now the booklet it came with said it a TS3500 but the box said TS3522
Suggestion: 1) Try resetting the wifi printer configuration back to default settings. 2) When setting up the wifi printer connection make sure you are using your correct wifi password that you use to connect other devices, phone, laptop,...etc to your primary wifi router/modem.

I am getting frustrated after the download pops up and I click to open...a box pops up that say something about Setup with TS3300 something about Windows 10 in S Mode...i think I might just purchase a wire to connect..Its really simple but this problem is making it complicated.
I had to figure it out on my own as well with no wire, Thank God! That windows 10 S just stops the progress! I deleted it but by accident in the printer connected right away
Yea, you have to turn on the S mode with windows 10 to do it. Its so weird and annoying, but turning that off actually helps with a lot of different downloads.

Just a heads up, if you have a Comcast/Xfinity modem, set the WiFi of the computer you're setting up to connect to the 2.5GHz WiFi NOT the 5.0GHz WiFi! This printer can't detect the 5.0GHz. And it won't let you set it up. Had to to that to my PC and phone in order to set it up.
@Mr.G Q Good point! The Canon TS3322 Wi-Fi is only 802.11b/g/n wireless networking that runs single band 2.4 GHz.
So...how do I switch it to use the 2.5GHz wifi? Everything I use is on 5.0GHz!
