How to Print from an iPhone to Canon Printer (or iPad, (same process))

- In this video we go over step by step how to print from an iPhone to a Canon Printer. Printing from an iPhone to a Canon printer is not that difficult as you will see in this video. Specifically we print from an iphone to the Canon Pixma G4210 but this will work with printing from iPhone from Canon Pixma MG series all in ones, Canon TR7020, Canon Selphy CP1300, Canon PIXMA TR4520, Canon TS6420, Canon IP8720 and many many more models.

For anyone confused on what to do after you click PRINT and it says NO AIRPRINTERS FOUND, try this.
1. Click on the SHARE icon at the bottom of the page as you always do (next to bookmarks and tabs button-should look like a square with an arrow pointing up)
2. Click OPTIONS under the document
3. Two things will pop up. AUTOMATIC and PDF. SELECT PDF.
4. Continue to PRINT.

YES! I thought I had to have a print app and wasted so much time trying to install the right app. This is my first apple. I wish it were this easy to print using all my android and windows devices. I need to know how to add custom paper size specifically 7” x 9.25 paper (classic happy planner paper size). I want to load blank happy planner paper and print directly on it, but using this cannon app on apple cannot figure out how to add this custom paper size. Doing this either on phone or iPad. Thanks.

This is great but why my iphone cannot connect with the printer i got this “no airprint printers found”. So many time i repeat and watch the video on youtube but it’s still same.
I really wish you would have shown how to print a webpage or document using the app because I found a cheap canon wifi printer that uses the app but not AirPrint and would love to see how printing without AirPrint works

You are beyond excellent! Might need info for setting up the drivers, etc. for a Cannon to iMac. Wondering if the mac will pickup info without having to go through the entire setup?
You are welcome. It depends on the printer, sometimes Macs can find the driver no issue when you search for the printer and sometimes you have to do a more manual install 🥺

I have the beeprt label printer and it uses Bluetooth from my iPhone to print my labels. And it doesn’t need WiFi. The new rollo. It says it supports AirPrint. Does that need WiFi or can i just use my Bluetooth connection like my beeprt? Thanks for all the info!

Do you know how to print without the black background on PDFs when printing from an iPad or iPhone?

I’m having a little trouble setting my printer 🖨 up on my iPad I downloaded the app canon it’s just not connecting to my iPad I have an android phone 📱 but it’s telling my I need to connect a iPhone charger 🔌 to the printer and iPad. I scanned the barcode on the printer to set it up ⬆️ and from there I started to have a little bit of trouble.
Great tutorial - but could you extend it to show how to print a Word document? I can print images, but when I open a Word doc and try to Print, the app goes looking for an AirPrint printer - which of course I don't have. Thanks!
Hi, open the word document outside of the app and look for the square with up ⬆️ arrow And it should be able to print that way. Let me know how it goes.

connecting to the wifi is an issue as the tone button does not allow you to go to numbers only letters
I followed your instructions to find the app in store but couldn’t find as per title Canon Print inkjet/Selphy. The only app that showed up was the Selphy Photo Layout. Is that the app you refer to?

How do you change the orientation or select the option to fit to page? I keep trying to print something whose print preview looks great (the whole image shows), but then once it goes through the printer it doesn’t fit in a majority of the image :’( all the edges chopped off and orientation is not what was shown in the preview

It may be a model that is not supported by airprint. Can you check the model on the airprint list in the description?

Hi. I followed the directions- set up the printer on my WiFi as well as my phone. But when i click on ‘select printer’ I get the message ‘no AirPrint printers found’. I know the devices are on the same network. What else could be wrong?

Yeah that doesn’t work for me either. I think you have to have a new printer that has air print capabilities. just having a printer on Wi-Fi does nothing.
You have to connect the printer to your phone, make sure they are on the same Wi-Fi, and then you have to do what he says about clicking on the share icon, and then sharing to the printer

So, in other words, you gave me a whole 10 minute video on how to print from an iPhone, but in the video, you didn’t bother to explain how to connect to a Wi-Fi device, so I probably have to watch another 10 minute video on top of that just to be able to figure out how to connect to a Wi-Fi device. This is very frustrating because I have been trying for days now to connect this canon printer that I bought at Walmart to a Wi-Fi network and I can’t get it to connect to my Wi-Fi network. Three videos later and I still can’t figure anything out. So frustrating I hate not being tech savyyyy!

My canon printer says it has Bluetooth capability, but it doesn’t show anywhere where it’s connecting my Wi-Fi network so I guess my printer is not compatible to my iPad
