Hey Josh my Axcel Landslyde does work on my X29 by moving the assembly to the outermost holes AND with a 31 mm scope like an AV-31 or UV3. All other scopes like the UV3XL or AV-41 does not work due to the lack of windage the extra 10 mm it takes up.

Looks like BG has done it again. I currently run two pro sights. Use my single pin for 9 months shooting targets then switch to my 3 pin for hunting. This new sight looks like it will be awesome. I feel I shoot much better with my single pin but I’m not confident enough yet to hunt with it as I’m just 2 years into this great archery adventure. Curious if BG will sell the scope housing with the dual track so we don’t have to buy a whole new sight. Awesome video once again guys. Keep up the good work.

That's why I like my Reckoning. Adjust those stops juuuuust the way you want to adjust that letoff weight. More "pull" at the wall means there's a "balance" of some sort up front. Micro, micro tunable and that front. I'm done buying sights for now...until the latest greatest gets me all giggly, and I'm all giggly.. That's it, BG hit the mark with this sight! JJ, set notifications to let me know when you have inventory. 😉. Gonna replace my Ascent Verdict on my Reign 6 with this latest and greatest. Love the Pro on my Reckoning. JJ, I to shot single pin (HHA) way back in the day. Now that sight is mounted on a bow of a archer that I kinda mentored. Will he eventually "upgrade" to the most advanced someday? Who knows, all I know is it cleared up his housing from 7 pins to 1 and his accuracy improved. Cheers, fellas

  • @Gaffneydaniel92

With the dual indicators, Once set up to both pins…are the needles accurate throughout the entire range of the tape? In other words, once you pick your site tape using the 20-60 method, and set your bottom pin to what ever yardage or gap you want…anytime you dial out, will that bottom pin indicator be exact to wherever it lands? I’m sorry if this makes little to no sense. I’m just wondering if with this sight, you have to pins that have known a yardage at any given range in the dial. Unlike my BG 3 pin where once I dial, only my bottom pin is now known.

    My V3X 29 is 80% LO

How much better are the pro pins than the standard pins? I've ran a CBE Tek Hybrid .010 single pin for 8 years tree stand hunting, but I am going to switch to a 3 pin for my first elk hunt due to pin durability issues with the older CBE. Is the pro hunter that much better than the mountain lite or ascent verdict?

I won't speak for the man, but i believe 400-500 is the perfect weight coming out of a compound. Creating a huge pin gap and lowering accuracy is creating the reason that a "plan b" is needed. Speed is forgiveness.

1st axis does not need to be level to the string. It CAN be. It can also be level to the riser... or your natural lean... the part that is mandatory is that the 2nd axis is perfectly married to the 1st axis... This 1st axis debate is common and I see people arguing all the time over levelling to string or riser and both are adamant they are right because they have done it their way for 30 years with zero issues.... Funny thing is, they are BOTH right, and both wrong. It can be either, so long as the 2nd axis is married to the first... Archery is brutal with poor information and that's often because there's more than 1 way to do things yet many people do not realize that, and they create a point for argument and confusion where there shouldn't be.
The reason it does not matter is because your arrows nocking point is in the same place all the time, and so is your rest. If you nocked your arrow up and down in different spots on your string, then it would make sense to level the 1st axis off your string, but the nocking point is always at one single point that never changes. It is static, and is repeated at full draw every time, and your rest position is also static and repeated at full draw every time. To shoot distance, the nock point and rest do not change, the angle at which you hold the entire system changes to send the arrow in a higher arch/trajectory. IF you did move your arrow up and down the string to shoot different distances, then first axis would be tied to the string, and conversely if you moved your rest to changed the distance of the arrow, the 1st axis would be tied to the riser... but we do not do that, they are static, and we only move our sight.... This is why 1st axis is not tied to anything in particular, it is only the base of how you set your following axis. Hopefully that helps people understand why it works this way... or maybe I just confused people... but at the end of the day if you level it to your string or riser, you are both fine.
Hopefully someone on the channel sees this and shares this on a future video. I know I am watching this 2 years after it was released so maybe mfj has shared this info since, but if not, hopefully they share this with viewers and help put it to bed.

MFJJ is wealth of knowledge but he was not accurately describing 1st axis. 1st axis can best be described like this. If you invision a vertical plane that lays flat against the front of your scope or sight housing. Meaning if the front of your sight housing is a wall, that is your first axis. You should get that plane parallel with your string.
2nd Axis: Which is what MFJJ was describing as 1st axis is on a plane that travels in a vertical plane up from the pin towards the string. This insures that if your pin is pointing perfectly vertical, so is your string, and then you adjust the sight bubble level to center.
3rd Axis: Can be thought of best as insuring your 1st axis being at a perfectly right angle to your 2nd axis.
In summary... let's use your phone screen as an example. 1st axis is you pointing the screen up or down. 2nd axis is you tilting left or right, 3rd axis is you pointing it left and right. All of them being perfect would be a perfectly vertical, perfectly horizontal, and pointing directly at your face.

Western hunting is not best for single pins. Plus, you should not focus on the target. Focus on the pin. As far as single pins go, I’ve had far more issues than with my five pin black gold pro. Western hunting is far more unpredictable than white tail hunting in the south. My experience.
