I received a fantastic YT comment yesterday that I want to address for all my videos focused on answering open-ended questions. When questioning the interview question, you want to ask 1 or 2 questions - meaning, you ask, pause, and wait for a response. If your interviewer is answering your questions, try to see if they will answer 1 to 2 more. BUT at a certain point the questions need to go from regular questions to rhetorical questions. You still want to question the interview question, but focus on questioning by saying, I would want to know this, I would want to clarify that, but you need to move past pausing and waiting for a response. Because YES, it will not take your interviewer that long to get annoyed if you pause after every question. I hope this helps and please respond to this comment if you feel like this is another video! Thanks!
@Jessielielie, I am so glad you found this helpful and make sure to check out some of my more recent sample answers as the content has gotten better over time!
Hey Jeff, I hope you get tons of money for these vidoes ! this is absolutely gold worth. I would be happy to buy your courses if you were ever to put this behind a paywall.

Shikha, when it comes to Google's vague questions, literally anything and everything is on the table. Knowing how I think is more important than the actual questions, but the five I mention in this video have likely come up at Google. I hope this helps. Thanks!
Hi Jeff, thank you for all the videos, they have been so helpful and by far the best content in this space. I am preparing for an interview for the Account manager LCS role and can you please help me with some open-ended questions that can be asked. looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks
Vishal: How do you foster strong relationships with other sales people? What are the key components to building a long term relationship with a client? A client is upset about their Google Ads performance, what step/s do you take to resolve the issue? What company should Google acquire to help grow their GCS solutions? I want you to imagine you are taking over an account for an Account Manager that was working with the customer for 3 years. What are the first steps you would take to build the relationship? You have two large clients with competing priorities, how do you make sure you get everything accomplished for both clients in a timely manner? How do you determine risk with a client? I want to imagine you are the ads expert, how do you make sure everyone understands what you need to make the client successful? How would you help a client grow their business through advertising? Imagine I am a business manager for a company, how would you help me? Create a long term strategy for a growing client in the retail space. Explain Google Ads to a 6 year old.
Jeff, Thanks for taking time to post such amazing informative videos. Do you have any video to cover RRK and Sales Discovery Process as well ? Thanks in advance.
Sunny, I have RRK and a more Sales Engineering focused video that should help with sales discovery: RRK - ruclips.net/video/aib-AqhG_cg/видео.html; Sales Engineering - ruclips.net/video/GtEUL3xbAZ8/видео.html
thanks, Jeff for the videos. except yours; there is literally no good content on the whole internet for Google-specific questions answers while there are tons of resources for other big tech companies. that is surprising for me. Having said that, I would really buy it without thinking a second if you had created word documents for the answers like this. this is extremely valuable content. thank you.
Maricar Arca, I would want to clarify if this was caused by a business or economic change? Was there a change in what our competitors are doing? Have we ever seen a change like this in the past? etc.
Hi Jeff! Thank you for all your content, it has been amazing to go over them. I'm preparing to have an interview for the role of Customer Onboarding Strategist. Could you please share some open-ended questions that could be asked? I have one in place, What would you do if aren't meeting your targets? Any other examples? Thank you in advance.
Thanks so much Jeff for your amazing videos. Is it fine to ask all these questions from the interviewer? I feel like it would be too much? Should we consider some of our questions as part of assumptions ?
Hey Jeff ,thank you for sharing such insightful videos and that really helps me with my interview preparation. One quick question is,as you mentioned many times, we shall take time to come up with an organized plan,I'm wondering how long would be appropriate for this thinking process? would 3 minutes be too long ?Thank you a ton
@jeff great content. Your videos are extremely helpful to prepare for the behavior questions. One question: Can you provide some input on how to answer question like "Most difficult challenge you faced and how did you solve it", What would a challenge comprise of here, is it a problem related to the project or a challenge with stakeholder or challenge delivering the project and when the interviewer says "most difficult" does it mean we can go back say 5 years to pick up a example or it should be recent
Sachin, good question! I did a video on this subject to help people - ruclips.net/video/QA8uR-Tl_M4/видео.html. You should pick an example that has a good ending if you can, but the one you choose you can pick or you can propose both to your interviewer and see what they want to hear. Your examples do not need to be recent, going back 5 years is definitely okay, I hope this helps!
Thanks so much for all your content, Jeff! In the beginning of this video, you mention that the question "How do you measure success?" has been spoken about earlier; would you please direct me to the right video where it was mentioned previously? I'd really appreciate it!
Nandita, I cannot remember what specific video I covered that question. The most important item to remember in this short vague questions is the words. So measure and success would be the two words you need to explore in more detail to have success. I hope this helps! If I think of the video, I will definitely reply again! Thanks!
@friendslife7027, ah yes, in the early videos I was not using a professional microphone! Fortunately, I have been using one for years now, so hopefully the audio quality has improved, thanks for watching!

Hi Jeff. This is all tremendous help. What are some questions that you would ask if it was about churn? i.e. Churn rate was 20%, but now it's 40%?
