Both are nice. The Ram is more appealing to me in my opinion, but they both are aesthetically pleasing to look at. However, on my personal opinion, and knowing heavy duty trucks, the solid axle of the Ram can handle more abuse and weight then that of the IFS of the GMC. IFS is great for on road use, but bad for off road use. You can not get the proper flex for off-roading then say the solid axle trucks like Ram and Ford.

The AT4 is for dirt roads and the snow belt, the PowerWagon is for offroad adventure. They are two completely different vehicles to serve 2 completely different purposes. It would be like comparing a 1500 AT4 to a raptor. This truck is meant for towing on rough roads, not making its own roads. PowerWagon is a fun toy if you have lots of money, but the AT4 is wildly the more practical truck. All they need to do is give it an electronic locker in the rear and maybe an LSD in the front like the tremor. The tremor as of now is the truck to beat because that will get close enough to the PW while maintaining its hauling capability

Yes, for daily driving and variable driving conditions, the g80 works fine. Works fine in my Silverado and never had an issue with traction.
My issue with it off road is that you’ve already lost traction before it kicks in, especially at crawling speeds. So a natural reaction for a driver is to give it some more throttle and then you finally grab traction. That’s a dangerous recipe on tight trails with rocks and trees on either side of you.

I've seen groups of Power Wagons at work in the real Moab and let me tell you, they are impressive to say the least!! The GMC is a really nice truck, but put it on some of the real Moab trails and the only way its getting over the first rock is if the Power Wagon drags it over with its factory installed Warn Winch!

Tremor, AT4 are just appearances packages. Ram makes a HD with a diesel and a off road package so if you want to tow, buy that. You CANNOT get off-road capabilities AND towing numbers from the same vehicle. Everyone that bitches about the Power Wagon towing and payload capabilities is completely missing the point. No one ever bitches about the towing and payload capabilities of a Jeep Rubicon BECAUSE it’s a off road vehicle. Plus you don’t want a diesel if your doing REAL off-roading. But that AT4 GMC HD, is very nice for all around heavy full sized pickup trucks! As it did take you through everything the PW did, without pushing any buttons, sure it rides harder, but what if you had say a nice high quality Truck Camper slid in the bed? Like a beautiful Northern Lite at around a thousandth lbs or so less than the trucks over all load capacity? That, with auxiliary fuel tank would make a great overland Camping Rig. Reading some of the comments, it's amazing that a lot of people have failed economics, auto mechanics 101 and basic comen sense.

What would happen if you put Air Bags in the suspension of the Power wagon? Would you be able to maintain the off road capability and then be able to pump up the bags when you want to tow and increase your towing capability to that of a normal Ram 2500???

Should I order a 2024 GMC 2500 or 3500 HD AT4 6.6L Duramax or a 6.6L V8? Which engine has the more problems? 6.6L Gas or 6.6L Duramax? Which one should I order?

Do you want an out of the box serious off road truck or a heavy duty truck with the off road package. I could see why certain buyers would like/dislike either one.

If the GMC had the Power Wagon's front axle it would be great. IFS never works offroad with bigger tires without major upgrades and cv shafts.

Good video. It would have been a GREAT video if you had the Tremor there too.

nailed the exterior... that I'll agree with. I absolutely love the exterior of the new GMC (minus maybe the new mirror design) I just wish they would have actually upgraded the interior vs. a tiny refresh. I love my 17' Silverado btw... not throwing shade.
