Composing this LttP epic orchestral medley was unending fun. This was my first Zelda game, and the one that got me into the series. I played Link's Awakening around the same time, so they're pretty close- but I didn't have a gameboy, so I had only seen glimpses of LA on my brother's gameboy. LttP was the first of many games to affect me on a very deep, emotional level. I will always be grateful to Koji Kondo for his soundtrack.

I can't agree more with your description...Zelda 3 has affected me so much too...it is so epic in every way, the music, the storyline, the environments...Koji Kondo is a genius and this Zelda...was...so powerful....Its eems like Breath of the Wilde 2 is going back to the Sacred Land if those flying stones are the ones of A Link To The Past artworks...I hope so much that they will be refering to Zelda 3 it would be insane....
enjoyed your zelda music videos w/ the orchestra
The flute boy's part at the very end of the song always makes me emotional.
Really I thought it sounded rather wooden
Ooga chakka ooga ooga ooga chakka
Sophisticated Peter Griffin I’m hooked on a feeling
Ya, that part come on at the closing, and my mind immediatly snapped out of my other task, and was transported. A beautiful touch to end on that simple, and impactful little bit.
The story-arc of the flute-boy and his father always hit me pretty hard. The story in that game is so subtle and minimal...but so effective. It's such a masterpiece in so many ways.
I am 37 .. this game and this music are just .. unreal .. greatest game I ever played in my childhood and probably still to this day. When his father leaves in the middle of the night in the rain.. it's timeless
One of the most heart-wrenchingly beautiful experiences for me as well!
I'm 32 and this brings me back a lot of nostalgic memories. My favorite is that one that sounds in the fairy cave. 💕 It's simply epic!
It is amazing what happens when music opens the box to childhood memories. And it makes me realize that I'll never be able to share those exact impressions and feelings with someone else, which is a bit sad but also makes them precious and I'm happy to have them with me. Thanks for reminding me.
I feel you man. Music can be so utterly nostalgic and powerful, and especially video game music for me. This particular game blew me away when I first played it as a kid and I developed an obsession with it. Listening to these themes brings me to a magical place within that I cannot share with others either, as it is my own personal experience. What may just sound like pretty music to someone else is an entire world within me that these melodies bring out.
Think of it as your own little secret magic 🪄✨
@@williamkoscielniak820 I have felt that way about this game in particular for a long time in a way that’s difficult to articulate. I loved reading books like the hobbit around that time and if I had to describe it I’d say it’s the way you envision the world in your mind’s eye. This 2-bit scape was graphical enough to help me view the world without being so immersive that my creativity couldn’t help me envision a fully fleshed out world that probably differed from the way any other person saw it, though I imagine their view differed from one another too.
OOT which I love kind of crosses that line as would majoras mask and all subsequent 3D titles. ALTTP is my favorite and most replayed for this reason.
We share them man. But we still express it
No one can share your exact memories and feelings from back then, but we can all share that same feeling of being brought back to those memories
Imagine just being a local child on a stormy night, having the Princess, the most powerful ruler in the kingdom speaking to you in your mind to help her, seeing your only family, your uncle, leave into the rain, never to return (well, at least at the moment), and then being tasked by him as he's dying to save the Princess and set out on a dangerous adventure as the fate of two worlds lies on your shoulders over a cosmic power. That sense of stepping up to the plate for such a task as the scene opens on a stormy night with this epic music: it's one of those moments you really can't forget the first you play.
That's why Link is my favorite hero. He's just a normal kid, yet when the time comes, he does his best to help in any way he can, only with the tools he finds along the way. And he doesn't ask for anything. He just does it... because it's the right thing to do.
And likewise the creater of the universe is calling out to you and me right now. Are you ready for the final quest? Go within yourself defeat the dragon and save the princess your other spiritual half. Be one and bring forth the new man within the christ! The world is literally depending on us. The black dragon prepares to spoil the land and only we can stop him! To arms to arms!
Please put a spoiler alert first 😢😢😢

+RebeccaETripp I don't find any words to express myself so i'll just say WOW, nice work there mylady.
+alain gaudreault Alain, thank you. ^_^
+RebeccaETripp tip: add this to the description as well! thnks for your hard work
10:20 Also its named Lorule World
+BBspike100 "Dark World" is for A Link To The Past, Lorule is for Link Between Worlds
Some people got stung by bees. :P At least we know that the bees are making a comeback.
+RebeccaETripp I stil think all your work is great, are you working at an original videogame atm?
+RebeccaETripp Three people hit too many chickens :)
Another 2 people managed to die from bee stings. RIP.
Or pecked to death by Chickens.
10 people, looks like you've picked up a Rupoor :(
Hopefully Tingle has decided to pay back 1508 of the rupees he has taken on Wind Waker :)
The whole piece is beautiful. But the Sanctuary... that is absolutely gorgeous.
@Fabrizio (and Rebecca): Yes, 100%! In general, I've noticed that RET's most impressive tracks are often of more easily forgotten melodies (not featured often in the games, just plain not so great in original form, etc.). But yeah, the Sanctuary melody really stood out to me even above and beyond that tendency. That and the more memorable flute boy melody at the end--beautiful and dare I say compassionate in its own right and a very canny shout-out to Ocarina's ending.
@Rebecca: You are amazing. So far, I've listened to this one and your Chrono Trigger medley. I'm not that technically skilled at this stuff, but I've been told I have a good ear and general aptitude for music so I often get annoyed when listening to fan tracks that make me go "I could have made that rearrangement so much better!) But no ego or frustration for me here. You are not only talented but I can tell very sentimentally inspired; you arrange the melodies with loving care.
Thank you. :') That made my night.
Thank you!
I really like how the art and the music at the first few minutes really painted a picture of the story of A Link to the Past. Really well done.
The nostalgia hit me like it hadn't in years.
I'm glad you had a good experience with this! ^_^ Thanks!
Triforce of the Gods is Japanese name of the game. Makes more sense than the title we got. Another fact is that the light world death mountain is called mount hebra in the Japanese version aswell.
It's a bitter sweet joy listening to the music. Brings back certain memories of my teenage years. Especially the time of 1997 when I was 14. That was the time you could see the comet Hale-Bopp in the sky. I played this game with a friend I went to school with. We had no instructions or guide about the game hence it came as a surprise when we thought we had beaten the game but it suddenly turned into the Dark World. We played a lot of games at that time. Zelda, Secret of Mana and the Street Fighter II series were our favorites. These games are adventurous, touching - and from a nostalgic perspective that I have now - touching in a verry personal way . At the beginning of 1998 my friend moved away and we never saw each other again. Now 23 years have past and every now and then I wonder how he did in life, where's he at right now... So every now and then I look up stuff like this video on RUclips and bathe in memories.
The artwork is stunning. Somebody put in a first rate effort.
That transition from the Master Sword to the Overworld just screams: "Hyrule, have no fear, your hero is here!"
I love that interpretation!
Link was indeed our hero ……
The way the flute song fades out reminds me of how flute boy fades out... rip
Yes. That's what I was going for!
But he comes back. "Flute boy plays again!"
P.S. He actually plays an ocarina, mistranslation on the localization teams part.
That transition from Master Sword to Overworld is like:
"NOW I'm kicking some butt!"
No, they are not tears. It's just a little nostalgia into my eyes
Best Part is 0:00 - 22:05
+Jon Soucy That was the hardest part to write! It was also my favorite part to write!
I have to agree
xD
0:00 to 22:05:00 is my favorite
I have to agree even tho I’m late
Thank you for this journey back in the childhood!
Thank you Nintendo, to let us part of this unbelievable Adventure!
Thank you, too!
This is...wow. This is probably the best Zelda remix/arrangement I've ever heard. The accompanying artwork, ordering of the songs, and everything was very well chosen too. This is simply enchanting, gripping, mesmerizing stuff, and more than does justice to the game and the series. I had chills throughout. I cannot wait to listen to the rest of your Zelda orchestral medleys now! Truly: beautiful, amazing work! Bravo!
This person said what I wanted to say. Everything was very nicely chosen.
Yuen Alvin second that
Check out all of her stuff too, i have yet to found something i dislike on her channel ! She's really an amazing artist !
This is funny. I wanted to say exactly this, but I decided to read the comments expecting that it was already told. This video really deserves it.
I love the music but I think the artwork is what sets this off for me.
I like that nice touch at the end.
+Jugglebrosjr2 Thanks. Do you mean the flute boy part?
i wish that part was longer. i love the flute boy melody but its hard to find good versions of it anywhere
*CRIES* Dog turned into petrified tree!!! T___________________________T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DIDN'T NEED TO REMEMBER THAT
The sound while transforming after playing the ocarina would be a great bonus.
My only regret is having just one like to give
Well, thanks for the like. ^_^
God, this brought tears to my eyes.
god those harmonies trigger the deepest memories, they probably directed my musical tastes for my whole life.
We have that in common!
I love this one! Amazing how you weaved so many tracks into one cohesive arrangement. 10/10
Thanks a lot! ^_^
I'm certain if I would've been on some type of psychedelics I could've actually been slaying the tektites and darknuts myself. The repertoire of music that has distinguished Zelda is certainly made all the more majestic and powerful with these Melodic reimagining's. I can listen to this many times over and never get tired of it.
Thank you co much!
Men the staff roll part catch me tears... and the flute boy end, had me sobbing.
Was it a good cry? :)
@@RebeccaETripp yeah, a good one
This. Is. Amazetastic.
It gives me chills, takes me back to my childhood and is almost like re-living the game or playing it for the first time again. I think a lot of that has to do with the images you chose. It gives me a very strong 80's fantasy, almost Tolkein from the time, vibe to it... I love it.
+ChronoSquare Then, I was successful. ^__^ This is very good to hear.
I'm so grateful that you did this, thank you. I love this game and was looking for an orchestral version of its ost, couldn't be more satisfied with what I found. God bless you, wish you the best.
I'm glad you enjoyed this! :) Thanks!
Oh my God this just made my whole day so much better. I get so nostalgic hearing this music, because it was actually the FIRST video game I ever owned or played for SNES, and the music is basically burned into my brain as an essential soundtrack of my early childhood. Thank you so much for this beautiful work.
You're very welcome!
AlttP came packaged with the SNES I got for Christmas. I didn't even care about Zelda at the time so I put it off for months, but one day I was bored of the other games I had and decided to give it a shot. It changed my damned life. It opened up worlds I never knew existed both within and outside of me. This soundtrack is etched into my soul and my childhood as well. That's part of the beauty of these games though. For you and me AlttP is etched into us, while for younger people it may be Twilight Princess or Wind Waker that winds up etched into their brain when they grow older.
I love how the songs blend into each other without any silence, its a never ending amazing sequence full of memories.
Thank you! ^_^
The nostalgia is real. Thank you and great job with this work of art. Truly.
Thank you as well! ^_^
Ever hear something that feels exactly like coming home? That is this. Thank you ❤
Thank you so much!
You honored me with this amazing work this morning and seeing the images that accompanies it makes it even more profound. Your Scarlet Knight's anticipation has been eased this day.
+Geekanomicon :D Awesome! Putting those images together was no easy feat. There is very little good LttP art out there! Thanks, once again. ^_^
This is a phenomenal medley. The accompanying artwork is perfect too. I’ve been a fan of yours for a few years now. You have a new fan because my newborn baby loved this medley too ❤ The ending with flute boy brought me to tears, ever since I was a kid that part of the game was emotional. 🥲
Thanks a lot! ☕🍰 I'm glad your child has already been enjoying music! How magical that must be, to show them everything you love!
couldnt agree more, this is the song my newborn hears everytime he goes to sleep and only chills with this medley... i have to accept that the level of epicness in arragement between master sword and overwold always keeps me humming and waking him 😂
its official I'm medley addicted and I probably should see a doctor I love how you bring the humble 16 bit soundtrack to symphonic glory yet another fantastic medley that really brings this particular soundtrack to life and if there is ever a movie or remaster of this game your versions of these songs would fit right in
Thanks again!
@@RebeccaETripp you are welcome again!
i’ve been listening to this a lot lately, and i just want to thank you for all the nostalgia and emotions you’ve created in this medley. it is so so so gorgeous. lttp was one of my first video games as a kid, but i’m just recently actually progressing in it. zelda is very important to me, and so is music. thank you for all the feels and the inspiration!
I'm glad you could relate to this.
My heart was filled with love while I heard this medley, thank you Rebecca!❤
+Andy Wadstein You're welcome, Andy.
Dude, those artworks are sick!
Came for the music, stayed for the fanart! Well done
Thanks!
Some of it is official art.
Katsuya Terada's artwork that he did for the first four zelda games is something else. If only he would make more for later games. His was almost official since I think it appeared in Nintendo Power and player guide magazines.
Thank you for this reminder of our beloved childhood, that indescribable feeling of eeriness that is nostalgia, ready to venture in a bleak and dark world and save what is left of it, with this courage to face all odds after hearing that fairy theme at the beginning of the video. I wept tears
Oh my goodness the nostalgia and the orchestra is simply perfect… truly the best. Thank You for making this. Wish I had come across this sooner! But hey! Everything happens at a certain order I believe. So thank you again ❤️
I hope it came at a time wherein it imbued optimal joy! Thank you! ^_^
You know, yesterdy I had my first break-up with a person I really loved from all my heart, probably for the best, because he did not love me the way I did him in the first place. Non the less I was so sad, but today I started listening to your work (original and fandom related) and I suddenly began to draw again, after MONTHS! Thank you so much
+SplitxHeart You know, that is one of the nicest comments I've ever had! I'm sorry to hear about your breakup (I know those suck, and they make a person grieve similarly to a death) but glad that you are single, if that's better for you. It's funny, you know, a dysfunctional relationship is like congestion, in a way, but congestion of the heart/emotions. Once you free yourself from it, everything starts to flow smoothly again. I'll bet you have a lot pent up inside of you that's been trying to get out; I'm definitely pleased that my music helped facilitate that creative spark! ^_^ Drawing is the best thing you can do right now... drawing, being a kid, loving yourself and being free.
Thank you so much darling! Your sweet words really mean a lot to me ; u ; and you are most welcome! I am so happy that I could listen to your music all day and work on my art again. I feel like some of the pain just got blown off and away. Sure there are still things that remain, but time will cure all wounds.
What a terrible, shitty person he sounded like. Glad you have forgotten him by now.
SplitxHeart your gay
I am just wondering how you feel about that break up? It's been over 9 years now.
My five-year-old son and I recently played through this game, and we love your work here. This has helped push my son over the edge of liking music (something he's been ambivalent about, at best). Kudos for some great arranging!
Thank you! ^_^ That warms my heart! It's good to stimulate his artistic interests early on, I say.
I teared up at the end. The artwork and music put together brought on the water works.
These are great! This game has some great songs that, unlike many others in the saga, haven't really been featured in other games, which is a pity. The prologue song, or this game's take on the Lost Woods theme. It's nice to hear them orchestrated!
Thanks!
Absolutely love the fan art. Encaptures the atmosphere and vibe of the heroes journey throughout the green fields of Hyrule and the dark wasteland of the dark world. Love that you ended the piece with an ode to the flute boy - such an emotionally beautiful arc that brings me to tears every time .. prob the most emotional part for me in any Zelda game
This is a dope video.
The music and the pictures telling the story.
Awesome!!
Thanks. ^_^
Probably the best game ever made. This compilation is magical, thank you! The touch at the end was beautiful as well.
Thanks so much, Andrea! LttP was the first game that ever made me REALLY get into video games!
14:20 - This "Phantom Ganon" part gives me chills, it's so good
+Jon Soucy Thank you! :D
This is probably the best music it's calms me brings me back as a kid I can still picture what part I'm on and the ending with flute boy chills and peace ❤ love it
I LOVE THIS VIDEO! BRINGS BACK SO MANY GREAT MEMORIES! THANKS SO MUCH FOR POSTING! XOXO
+N iv You're welcome! :D
After listening to it again, the transition to Dark World's theme is still utterly sublime. Also, the quality of the instruments for this medley is among the best of your work. It's a great marriage of a 16-bit sound while ditching the harsher tones. It's just so beautiful.
+Th3Skull3r Oh, thank you! I'm glad you appreciate it. ^_^
Awesome. I played and enjoy almost every Zelda games but Link to the past (& Between worlds) and OOT remains my favs... I dont know how to describe it but has the most "fairytale" vibes into it.
Definitely! I would say that Minish Cap also has a fairytale aesthetic!
@@RebeccaETripp oh yeah, thats actually my fav aswell. I wish that game is much much longer.
The minish village & forest themes has beautiful melodies. Too bad its very underrated and unpopular among fans.
I got the 30th anniversary boxset and they completely leftout any tunes from that game😕
Well, in case you're interested... I made a lot of MC covers, including those two themes. :3
You... Are... Awesome ! Thank you for making me cry while listening to this magnificent recovery...
^_^ You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed the experience.
My childhood... trying not to tear up at work.
+Daniel Giammanco
I still come back to this. Probably my favorite soundtrack for LTTP
Thank you so much for stopping by so often. ☕
@RebeccaETripp and thank YOU for creating a lasting impression. This is the kinda thing you put on to help the kids fall asleep to as to tell them a bedtime story
@@THEREDHOTWRECK Oh, I love that! Reading/telling children stories is SUPER important. Not enough parents do it. It warms my heart to know that a new generation of children will grow up feeling the magic that we had!
@@RebeccaETripp that's because we both understand the significance of what we had growing up. Not only that, but I fully plan to make sure such things are kept around for generations to come starting with my own kids.
21:44 flute boy in the woods. Like so others remember this nostalgia
Was working, listen to link's awakening, think casually 'How amazing' then LttP comes. Same youtuber. And there I see : all orchestral medley by the same person. Madam, your work is remarquable. Have my sub and a comment !
Thank you! ^_^ I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! I did a few other Zelda medleys besides these ones.
Absolutely beautiful. A Link to the Past is easily the greatest game of the Zelda series along with Ocarina of Time.
+Gamedraco Here here! Although, I'd rank Majora's Mask alongside them. :3 Still, however, MM doesn't capture the SAME thing as the other two. It had its own uniquely memorable and beautiful gift that it gave me, but it certainly wasn't the same gift the other two gave me.
RebeccaETripp
Majora's Mask is brilliant too and is certainly in my top 3 with Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past.
Gamedraco same
im back again for this, every now it'll slip my mind for a while... then when i hear it again and relive the magic its just the best. any other game soundtracks come close to this? its just something else
Dark World theme is always right
this reminds of my childhood. Nights of fun with my oldest brothers playing.
Oh, the flute boy at the end was so beautiful. For a moment, I thought you didn't include it and then at the very end....so well done.
+Th3Skull3r ^_^ Thanks. I've been thinking of making an extended flute boy track with variations.
+RebeccaETripp Go for it, I think it's one of aLttP's best tunes and it's a powerful moment in the game.
nostalgia so strong that it teleports you back in the time when you were playing this game
Put this game into 3D/HD with modern graphics, and you're looking at possibly the greatest (Zelda?) game of all time.
Hopefully Nintendo will consider something like this for the Breath of the Wild sequel
@@chadpeterson5698 I suspect they're working on it now. Might take a year or 2 and they're finishing up the new Links Awakening. Maybe Minish Cap, too.
No.. it's perfect in the SNES graphics.
Nooooo!! Keep the 2d sprites and maybe just smooth some things, speed some things up and throw a little pizzazz here and there. Nothing too big!
Use the Four Swords Adventures 2d style. That'd be awesome.
This is really where the Zelda series started getting GOOD.
Thank you link because you saved me from the clutches of evil
apparently link is so awesome, he saved the complete mario party 😁
Mario Party 7 link said your legendarily welcome
Of all legend of Zelda game. This was my favorite. Now an epic soundtrack has gotten an epic remake. Thank you.

Dark world hell yeah!
+IBroLLyI ISephirothI That was the most fun part to make, probably. ^^
RebeccaETripp Keep doing the good work
Man, I remember listening to this as a Kid. This video is very nostalgic for me as it was during a Time where I was learning more and more about Zelda games. Out of all the songs The Lost Woods is the only one that always pops up in my head every now and then. Such a classic.
The only zelda game that i played and finished !
Thank you for giving me us these 22 Minutes. That was amazing.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! ^_^ Thanks for stopping by and listening!
is possible to like it twice ?
Like this: d^_^b
A link to the past really had the best graphic and musical conception out of any Zelda game. I really love the alien and Egyptian themes integrated with mystical elements.
Yeah! It had this really intriguing aesthetic, which, at the time, felt totally surreal and otherworldly compared to most titles.
And also, six people got turned into skulltulas.
After reading the description and seeing how you love LttP I can understand how good is this video. Both medley and images are sublimely done/chosen.
Thank you.
Vive tweeter lol
Ah t’es là !!
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past was my first love of all Zelda games too, and watching those wonderful pictures while listening to your beautiful arrangments.... It has been a wonderful experience, Thank you very much!
Hope one day Nintendo makes a remake of this amazing game with graphics and an open world like BotW ^_^
This is my dream too, I can't imagine a more perfect game. ALTTP has such great atmosphere, and that would translate to an amazing open botw style game
Thank You For Making Me Relive My Childhood Once More. This is the soundtrack I grew up with. You are extremely talented!
Thanks a lot. :) I grew up with it too. It really added a lot of magic to our formative years.
14:30 - Epic Ganon Battle Remix Song
+Jon Soucy Yeah, insane version.
+Xab “xObSbT” ost :'D Thanks.
It sounds a bit like Phantom Ganon in TWW.
Guillaume J. Phantom Ganon’s theme in Wind Waker is actually a remixed version of all the previous Ganon battle themes 👌🏻
Got chills when I heard the Flute Boy's melody at the end!!! Amazing
+Copat87 ^_^ I was really hoping to give somebody chills with that part. Thank you so much!

Thanks for this beautiful medley;
This is exactly 100% perfect. First Zelda game for me indeed. I absolutely have no words to describe the sensation I had while listening to this. I'm litterally shaking as I'm writing this comment.
You did a wonderful work.
+SaFlamingFire Thank you. Knowing that others get as much out of hearing these medleys as I get out of making them really fills me with so much joy. :')
This is beautiful. Thank you for this lovely piece of joy. This game started it all for me.
I completely relate. ^^ Thanks.

A masterpiece for both sight and sound, the narrative is tied exactly into the pictures which enhances the amazing music further. You have outdone yourself yet again!
+HighPriestFuneral ^_^ Thank you. You're one of the people I look forward to hearing from the most.
This was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. The way that you recreated the pieces along with the amazing artwork was truly a treat. Thank you so much for all the work that you put into creating this.
You're very welcome. ^_^ I put a lot of love into this one. Thank you.
I really love this game. It was my first zelda and I'm still finish the game every year.
I loved all these photos, these are perfect for every song including the sad ending with flute boy, was beautiful *-*
+Ricardo Salazar Thank you. I hope it wasn't too sad, hehe. I sometimes cried, historically, while listening to that piece. Actually, the entire ending of that game right from the Triforce chamber to the credits always felt emotional to me- even the first time!
+RebeccaETripp aww yes, I'm feel nostalgic at the chamber song, that's my favorite song behind dark work and overworld dungeon *-* I want to donate to download the song but I live in mexico x3
Ricardo Salazar
:o You don't have to donate at all! Anyway, what does Mexico have to do it? Just curious? Is this related to your income or the website? Either way, thank you very much. ^_^ I'm glad you like the song that much.
I don't know what people were thinking when they disliked this video it's phenomenal work. I especially like this one. Link to the past was the first Zelda game I played and this video make me happy because it's so beautiful!
Im currently trying to huntdown people who disliked Rebecca vids ... These people need to be taught a lesson
I know right...
Thanks! :D
Your work is phenomenal.I also like the twilight princess epic orchestra.its amazing.i love your work.
These Zelda compilations are killing it. Thank you, @RebeccaETripp!
^_^v
You're quickly becoming one of my favourite composers. Donkey Kong got me hooked and now I am loving your other work as well.
Absolutely nostalgic! This was my first video game ever, and is still my favorite today. You did an amazing job on this medley, and I love all the pictures that accompany the different themes. Congratulations on completing an epic project, and thank you for sharing it so we all can enjoy!
+john dennis I'm really glad you enjoyed it so much. ^_^ Thank you!
This beautifully arranged piece brings me through the game. The pictures only make it better.
P.S. I just went through the game.
^_^ I, too, love paring a playthrough of a spectacular game with certain fan media. Thanks a lot!
Absolute magic, ALTTP was my 4th Zelda game after Zelda 1, 2 and Link's Awakening, its one of the best games of all time and a timeless classic that i absolute love. Your rendition is truly beautiful, Kakariko theme give me chills always :D
Thank you so much, and say hello to Elly. ^^
I love it. A Link to the Past was my first Zelda game too, and I still love it to bits. Your medley combined the tracks in the game in such a beautiful way, I could just see all the events play right in front of my eyes (not just because there was amazing fanart to look at) in a wonderful, cinematic way. Thanks for letting me experience my favorite game in a whole new way.
You're welcome!
I swear we must have had the same childhood growing up with all these music you remade. Thank you for the trip back to good times! Awesome music!
Thank you. ^_^ I'm glad you liked it!
This is spectacular. You always seem to infuse a little bit of magic and special soul into your work.
Thanks a lot. I really appreciate that!
How? How does this not have more views and likes?! I feel like it's a travesty!
This is just beyond breathtaking. I can think of so many descriptive words: magical, wonderful, beautiful, serene, brilliant, perfect, et cetera. The emotional response this is getting from me is massive. A Link to the Past was my first Zelda game, and the second video game I ever played. Zelda has been, and always will be, my favourite series of all time. Congratulations; you are incredibly talented! I almost wish I could give you a handshake or a hug, because the feeling I get from listening to this has completely made my day. ^_^
Happy 30th anniversary, Zelda! May the Way of the Hero lead to the Triforce!
+Krizen Medina Happy 30th Zeldaversary to you, too! :D And thanks so much for this comment. ^_^ It made my night.
Ahaha, I'm glad you understood! I meant to type 'Happy 30th Zelda anniversary'. xD
You are more than welcome! You definitely deserve the praise. I _do_ usually go nuts for _anything_ Zelda, but this is something that I feel deserves every single ounce of recognition, and most undoubtedly deserves more exposure. Everything was sublime, but I especially loved the prologue bit, the Lost Woods, (which is one of my absolute favourite pieces of Zelda music throughout the entire series) the Master Sword, the Dark World, and the final battle against Ganon. Goddamn, I wish I could just say 'every part' was my favourite. xD
Again, I think you're very talented, and you've most definitely earned a subscriber! Also, thanks for adding me to your circle; I love talking about Zelda (well, and anything else, but especially Zelda!) with new people/friends that I meet! I'm really glad that my comment made your night, because your music made mine. :D
And oh my god, you're Canadian too! That makes you even cooler! Where are you from? I'm from Toronto, born and raised. ^_^
Krizen Medina
I'm in BC, near Vancouver. :) By the way, I have medleys in the same style/with the same degree of epicness for Wind Waker, OoT and Majora's Mask. :D I also have a ton of ones for other game series. What's your favorite Zelda?
Oh, cool! I've always wanted to visit BC. In fact, a friend and I have been trying to set up a road-trip there for some time now, but her schedule is quite hectic, so we're probably going to wait until the summertime.
I noticed your other medleys! I will most definitely give them a listen after I come back from dinner. I meant to do so last night, but it was extremely late. And if you happen to answer this before I explore all of your videos, what other game series have you done? I will die of happiness if you have anything from Chrono Trigger, the Tales series, (specifically Phantasia, Symphonia, Abyss, and/or Zestiria, although the latter is pretty new) or Final Fantasy.
As for my favourite Zelda, I'm surprised I didn't mention it already, but there's a reason I specifically listened to and posted on this video first. :P A Link to the Past will always be my absolute favourite. It just invokes a certain feeling and emotional response that other Zelda games cannot. Well, at least not to this degree. That's not to say that I don't hold a special place for others in the series, because there's only one or two Zelda games that I thought were just 'okay'. The rest range from 'amazing' to 'fucking masterpiece' for me; Majora's Mask, The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, the Oracle series, Link's Awakening, and Ocarina of Time all fall into the second category. (Those are also my favourite Zelda games in order, after ALttP) It's just that... they aren't A Link to the Past. There's a certain unique charm and magic that it possesses. When I hear something like the prologue bit, the Lost Woods, or the Dark World theme, I get a wave of nostalgia that is like nothing else.
Sorry for typing an essay, I didn't mean to go on quite this much. ^^;; So, what's _your_ favourite Zelda and why?
+Krizen Medina Hehe! Well, you're DEFINITELY in luck! I have a 30 minute Chrono Trigger medley in this style! I also have a Tales of Phantasia forest themes medley, over 10 Final Fantasy medleys, and nearly 100 total Final Fantasy remixes. :D
LttP was my first Zelda, so I understand where you're coming from- although my favorite is likely Majora's Mask. ;) I have the same favorites list where Zelda is concerned. I like all your "fucking masterpieces" the bets. Hehehe!
You call this an essay? Hahaha! This is a twitter post compared with that some people have sent me. ^_^ If this is an essay, then some other people send me novels. XD
