This is amazing! I remember renting this game at the local blockbuster and playing it for hours. I have been hooked on CT since them. Totally awesome that 20 yrs later people are still making remixes and alternate versions of songs.

To Far Away Times has to be the most beautiful song ever put to a video game. It's hard to pick favorites from CT but that melody always gets me. Just beautiful.

I know the storyline for CT and love it, but can't seem to get through it... And I don't want to play CC until I finish CT. I don't like RPGs because most of them are: go do this, then this, then you need to do this, but you have to do this first after you collect X amount of these.
I saw a notification, opened it and saw it was for this, gasped and instantly came here. Nearly a half hour long, this must have taken a lot of time and work, but it came out great!
Wonderful arranged medley of perhaps my favorite video game OST of all. You did a superb job of blending the songs together and transitioning from one to another, and I loved being surprised and delighted when a song transformed into another in an unexpected way. Chrono Trigger's soundtrack is timeless, and you served it well with your own imaginative spin on it. :)

Tonight I've been listening to a bunch of your stuff, as I often do. Originals, remixes, covers, etc. IDK what it is, but this one... I really needed to hear this one tonight. When I'm anxious about life, it's always good to be reminded that it's an adventure. It may not always be epic (and thankfully so), but it is a beautiful journey. The music speaks for itself, one of the greatest soundtracks ever produced that just so happened to land on one of the greatest VG titles ever to see the light of day. That being said, the visuals provided are absolutely STUNNING. 10/10!

Your music is emotive, and that is successful music. I always recognize what you are trying to capture from a song no matter how different it sounds, and some of your pieces make me cry. I was watching another artist recently play some Nobuo Uematsu songs on the piano and they noted in many comments that some of the songs didn't get a fair treatment in the OST. I found that strange but now agree. I never worry about your interpretations of the songs. They are expansive and mystical and huge and definitely come from the heart. Your interpretations of an OST can be even more beautiful than the original. They make me regret not daydreaming more. Anyways I could go on but this really isn't the place. I'm very happy to have backed your project.
I played this game so many times through. I was convinced I'd gotten every ending, then recently came across an article casually commenting on an ending I'd never seen before. I hardly play games anymore, but Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 were two of the most epic, moving stories I'd ever encountered. Still to this day, 20 years later, they're both deeply personal to me. I can't describe it. I only hope that my art will affect others that deeply one day...

The quality of your work improves noticeably as the track progresses. It's interesting, because even though CT's music is my favorite video game music of all time, there are some songs I don't mind skipping over. One of those throw away cheesy tracks has always been "The Epoch - Wings of Time", but your version here is outstanding. Even better than the original and by far the best piece that you did. Followed up by my favorite song ever, "To Far Away Times", makes the whole thing even better. Thank you.
+Jijenji You're welcome. Yeah, a lot of people, supposedly, didn't like the Epoch music. I kind of felt sorry for the track! I wanted to make it a highlight, instead of a "throwaway track" for a change! As for the quality thing... I didn't actually compose all these parts in order, but I did mix them in the order you hear them, so I might have gained a level in the middle of working on this piece. That you think my Epoch cover is the best piece I ever did, even though you don't like the original much could be seen as a good thing or a bad thing. :O
+RebeccaETripp It's definitely a good thing. You did a good job and faithfully recreated most of the other tracks through your own interpretation. Overall it's a cool fan arrangement and awesome that you put that much time and heart into it. I only mentioned "The Wings of Time" because it was the track that stood out to me, the one that was drastically different and yet a noticeable improvement on the original. You took out the cheesiness and gave it a much more dynamic and sensitive range, and it has a lot more feels in my opinion.

I remember loving listening to this Medley. I would listen to the whole thing again and again. My favorite being Schala's Theme. You can just feel the uncertainty and mystery. Black Omen, that one hits great. Mystic Forest is also my favorite. Can I really only pick one? Thanks for making this.

Hello Rebecca, I returned to this channel because of the beautiful variation on Frog's theme. Overall everything is amazing, but I love frog, and your music for him is great.
Not to say Nobuo Uematsu would not approve, but given Yasunori Mitsuda is the composer of this particular soundtrack, I'd say his opinion is more relevant. (I suspect he would also enjoy hearing this version of his work)

That's an interesting perspective on "to far away times". It always upsets me when people do covers of it and pull out some of the arpeggios super early, but I really like what you've done with it!
I don't know what to say. for me, music, all music needs be accelerated and played very fast. I cant stand slow, easy going, drawn out music; and yet somehow, I sat though all this, enjoyed it, and had many many old dreams come back to me from the depths of my sub-conscious... Thankyou for this upload.

If you played CT in your childhood and liked the songs (most of which weren't fast at all) then the nostalgia could have taken you back to your childhood. Chrono trigger, terranigma, evergreen, seiken desentsu 3, legend of mana are the gold piece of RPG from SNES specially Chrono Trigger and Terranigma(Music, Story Line, Epicness)...
Yeah, not to mention the multiple endings in Chrono Trigger and incredible combat system. I can't think of another game at the time that had full-squad attacks like triforce strike. Absolutely stunning! My favorite parts would be Frog's Theme (was looking forward to hearing that one in full!), Time Circuits (love the instrumentation of this part), Schala's Theme (great transition between Time Circuits and this theme) and Manoria Cathedral (just beautiful!).

This was really well done. I've listened to tons of orchestrated Chrono music and most really don't handle the Millennial Fair well, the tempo is off or they miss the syncopated melody and it just sounds off. But yours is spot on and excellent. On some of them I'd prefer to maintain the funkyness (Wings That Cross Time) but no one has done it yet. Again, I say, marvelous job! Thanks for putting it up.

Your music is emotive, and that is successful music. I always recognize what you are trying to capture from a song no matter how different it sounds, and some of your pieces make me cry. I was watching another artist recently play some Nobuo Uematsu songs on the piano and they noted in many comments that some of the songs didn't get a fair treatment in the OST. I found that strange but now agree. I never worry about your interpretations of the songs. They are expansive and mystical and huge and definitely come from the heart. Your interpretations of an OST can be even more beautiful than the original. They make me regret not daydreaming more. Anyways I could go on but this really isn't the place. I'm very happy to have backed your project.

I played this game so many times through. I was convinced I'd gotten every ending, then recently came across an article casually commenting on an ending I'd never seen before.
I hardly play games anymore, but Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 were two of the most epic, moving stories I'd ever encountered.
Still to this day, 20 years later, they're both deeply personal to me. I can't describe it. I only hope that my art will affect others that deeply one day...

The quality of your work improves noticeably as the track progresses. It's interesting, because even though CT's music is my favorite video game music of all time, there are some songs I don't mind skipping over. One of those throw away cheesy tracks has always been "The Epoch - Wings of Time", but your version here is outstanding. Even better than the original and by far the best piece that you did. Followed up by my favorite song ever, "To Far Away Times", makes the whole thing even better. Thank you.
+Jijenji You're welcome. Yeah, a lot of people, supposedly, didn't like the Epoch music. I kind of felt sorry for the track! I wanted to make it a highlight, instead of a "throwaway track" for a change! As for the quality thing... I didn't actually compose all these parts in order, but I did mix them in the order you hear them, so I might have gained a level in the middle of working on this piece. That you think my Epoch cover is the best piece I ever did, even though you don't like the original much could be seen as a good thing or a bad thing. :O
+RebeccaETripp It's definitely a good thing. You did a good job and faithfully recreated most of the other tracks through your own interpretation. Overall it's a cool fan arrangement and awesome that you put that much time and heart into it. I only mentioned "The Wings of Time" because it was the track that stood out to me, the one that was drastically different and yet a noticeable improvement on the original. You took out the cheesiness and gave it a much more dynamic and sensitive range, and it has a lot more feels in my opinion.

Not to say Nobuo Uematsu would not approve, but given Yasunori Mitsuda is the composer of this particular soundtrack, I'd say his opinion is more relevant. (I suspect he would also enjoy hearing this version of his work)

I cant stand slow, easy going, drawn out music; and yet somehow, I sat though all this, enjoyed it, and had many many old dreams come back to me from the depths of my sub-conscious... If you played CT in your childhood and liked the songs (most of which weren't fast at all) then the nostalgia could have taken you back to your childhood. I tried to capture the "spirit" of the game and its music with this.
Chrono trigger, terranigma, evergreen, seiken desentsu 3, legend of mana are the gold piece of RPG from SNES specially Chrono Trigger and Terranigma(Music, Story Line, Epicness)...
Yeah, not to mention the multiple endings in Chrono Trigger and incredible combat system. I can't think of another game at the time that had full-squad attacks like triforce strike. Absolutely stunning! My favorite parts would be Frog's Theme (was looking forward to hearing that one in full!), Time Circuits (love the instrumentation of this part), Schala's Theme (great transition between Time Circuits and this theme) and Manoria Cathedral (just beautiful!).

This was really well done. I've listened to tons of orchestrated Chrono music and most really don't handle the Millennial Fair well, the tempo is off or they miss the syncopated melody and it just sounds off. But yours is spot on and excellent. On some of them I'd prefer to maintain the funkyness (Wings That Cross Time) but no one has done it yet. Again, I say, marvelous job! Thanks for putting it up.
