I took it to an upholstery shop and got both sides done for a very reasonable price. I tried gluing it myself, bought a replacement soft "leather" panel and some hard plastic ones, and they didn't work at all. So that was wasted money, plus what I spent on the spray adhesive.
That's weird my 05 mustang doesn't have that piece on it, so I guess I'm lucky. My door is all plastic. My subwoofer cover is annoying though, I took it off and it never went back on right. Thanks for showing how to take off the door panel I hate taking them off because I'm always worried about breaking it. I'm from NJ too. Thanks for taking the time to make this video and no matter how u do it there is always going to be someone that's gonna have a negative comment but u don't see them helping anybody
I know you could probably get a replacement for the plastic piece where the window controls are but if you’re talking about the leather piece I’m not quite sure. I would ask someone with more experience whether that’s a professional detailer, someone who restores interiors, or even an upholsterer. Hope this helped you, please consider subscribing! :)
Also not sure if you could remove that specific leather piece, might have to just get just send the whole door card in to get that one piece refurbished
Yeh the plastic molding where the “leather/foam” thingy is broke since it’s dried up and brittle. They do have replacements for older mustangs but nothing for s197’s from the searches I’ve made. I could probably go to a junkyard and get one I just don’t know how to disassemble that part
@@FlipGuitarist80 would be slightly more expensive but a decent option is to also try and find a better condition full door card that matches your interior color. Would for sure be easier to replace the whole thing

How about that door handle arm rest on the inside. Any idea how to remove it for refurbishing

I used super glue and a pairing knife no problem.
