Man, I don't usually comment on the videos I watch, but the advices you give after the tips are a very nice touch and show real heart. Good for you, and congratulations on your channel and thanks for the tips.
Since i bought your ebook im hooked ever since. One of youtuber that has this sense of purpose and not just making video just for the sake of making videos.
I agree with everything except for the contrast part. I'd argue that you can also wear highly contrasting outfits as long as One is exhibiting an aesthetically pleasing figure aka *1/3* , which consists of creating a assemble in which your legs make two-thirds of your outfit, while your torso only makes up the remaining one. It can easily be demonstrated with the given example you provided on this channel: You had a black T-shirt [short sleeve] and a white T-shirt [ short sleeve ] outfit worn with what seems to be seen dark pair of denim or "performance chinos". The prior undoubtedly looks worse when compared to the latter----but I'd argue the reason for it doesn't lie within the contrast itself, but rather a strong divide emphasized by the tee that's rather too long. Latter, somewhat darker ansemble successfully hides the imperfections within the waist area, while the prior outfit indeed kinda cuts you in half by making your legs and arms seem shorter while simultaneously making your upper body longer, which kinda makes you being perceived as a shorter guy....and it *HOLDS TRUE* . However----I'd argue that if you decide it's a wise idea to make a few minor tweaks to the prior outfit by tucking in your tee within m-rise pants [or a high-rise pair], you'd end up with a 1/3 silhouette, which would make you seem even taller when compared to a low contrast assemble, mostly because of the reality in which length of the legs will be emphasized by the contrasting top [darker elongating pair of pants--light top], and your armspam would seem longer compared to the overall body...as your upper half would consequently end up bein'dd relatively shorter. By doing that you aren't eliminating negative effects created by the contrast, but by doing that One uses the contrast itself to work in his own favor, which is kinda a badass BoSS move----DON'T YOU THINK!? The same holds true with casual jackets [denim...harringtons]: The only reason those work best with the low contrasting assemble is due to the reality in which an *XS* or *S* of most brands [smaller unit of preferable size] provides an uniformed back length, which is sitting around *24½* to *25'* , which is again ideal for a *6'* person, which means anything below the ideal height would be met with the unpleasant fit, which shall be way too long for most folks. I know this because as a *5'11"* guy [ *5'10⅓* ]...I usually need to order a custom jacket with a length of *22½* to *23'* for it to fit right. Sometimes *24'* is acceptable tough, but everything longer impacts the overall aesthetics, which limits my options, which is not ideal and definitely not preferable. Even brands that are priding themselves in catering to shorter people appear way too conservative when it comes to the overall length and are obviously catering to mass production, which kinda sucks and definitely can be interpreted as a tad bit problematic. If you're athletic, it's even worse, because the other measurements then also need to be accustomed to your body [ for instance a setup of *M* -shoulders.. *XS* waist ... *S* chest]. So...I usually order a jacket that fits within the shoulder area with the desirable back of *22½* , and a *38* chest with a roomier waist OFC, and after that I take it to my tailor to make the desired drape; fits like a glove afterwards. But yeah...I think the contrast itself is not the problem. The contrast when the tee needs to be altered to appear a few *'* shorter however...well, let's just assume that another pair of shoes you have there. Examples of guys who were/are short to mid-sized bit appearing quite tall relative to their measured height while sportin' contrasting outfits would be J. Dean or Brad Pitt. The prior one was *5'6"* while appeared as a *5'9* to *5'10"* guy, despite being the icon of the contrasting assemble [white tee, indigo blue jeans...darker pair of boot and/or shoes...acompanied by the red iconic blouson sported within few scenes "RWAC" and used as a personal garment afterward], while Brad Pitt is one of the average height guys but can appear to be perceived as tall as *6'1"* [depending on the situation] Cropped tops are what you need and everything else shall follow. You can argue that individual proportions also matter, but then I can argue that perception of those can be altered by clothing [to a degree] and that your's appear to be pretty darn decent [for your size]...so there's no visible contradiction. Low contrast resolution seems like limiting my options a bit too much. Here's another example: Both of the guys are approx six fit (according to the chart), but One is using the modified custom length of a medium-sized garment, while the other one has been wearing a regular large [presumably similar 📏 as the regular *M *] : (1) www.thejacketmaker.com/Alex-Distressed-Burgundy-Leather-Jacket.html (2) www.thejacketmaker.com/Bomia-Ma-1-Brown-Leather-Bomber-Jacket.html Which One do you think appears more aesthetically pleasing and why ? I think it's due to the modified length. It may be just a few inches...but those few inches make a HUGE difference. If I had a penny mvery time one of my partners made the given remark... But perhaps it's just my interpretation. Anyhow...to summarize my conclusion: *I think that high-contrasting outfits are definitely not SO good...WHEN THE CONTRAST WORKS AGAINST YOU...AND NOT IN YOUR FAVOUR. * If the latter one is the case...then the contrast is even desirable I'd say. P.S. Love some of your outfits... especially suit supply stuff & field jacket combinations.
I appreciate the encouragement! Just trying to reach Aaron Marino status haha. Luckily, he's a friend, so I'll have to get all his secrets at StyleCon...
I beg to differ on the advice for pant rise. For people with short torsos, wearing low to mid rise pants can help elongate the torso and balance the ratio of the torso to the legs. Long legs i believe does not always mean aesthetically pleasing. A proportioned body would look better, or maybe its a matter of preference. Good job on the video though :)
further low rise pants should be preferred as with short guys and high rise pants there is a bunching of fabric on the buttocks and the lower groin area which makes short guys look even shorter. I agree with the rest just this part I think he got wrong
I had one big checker pattern, shirt. now i came to know why it looked bad. I will now wear clothes with small patterns. Little things do make big differences!!! Thank you!!! :)

Brock, Is anyone really and truly happy with their, height, weight, body type?...simple truth is NO, these tips can be applied to not only shorter men i.e.
The last part is so true. I’m 16 this year and had worried of my height since I was 14. I am now 173cm(5’8) and I do hope to get to 178cm(5’10) by the time I am 18, which is a tall height for an Asian in my country. Pray for me ppl, really appreciate it
Really hope u grow taller . I'm 16 too and 5'7 but I went to the doctors and found out that I've reached my potential height , the doctor said there is a strong chance that I might grow another 2 cms , so 172 is my limit . I personally love contrast between the tops and bottoms half of my fit (luckily I am pretty tall so I don't have to worry about the height issue) and it adds a LOT of pop to outfits. Not great for a lot of super formal events but casual outfits and streetwear fits contrast can be great.

I never watch a person talk in this perfection before in any RUclips video, because the theme of your video is related with your every single sentences.Hope you motivated by my little complement and shot stuff as this ....
Most RUclips men’s fashion are a joke, this one I like, the pointers are all on the spot. Don’t matter your height or build type, The goal for men to look hot is leaner & taller.
Didn't think I'd get anything out of this video, being 6'4, but that last tip is pretty good. My torso is insanely long and makes my legs look kinda short.
You kinda read my mind on the contrast and patterns thing. Just the other day, I was thinking "If I had a youtube style channel, I would give this advice". About the "low rise" tip, I think the challenge there is that most slim/skinny fit styles I find are typically also low rise. It's hard to find high rise, slim pants, as far as I can tell.
for the stocky rugby player builds like me, get a custom tailored blazer with little to no shoulder padding. don't cheap out on the fabric quality after a dry cleaning that cheap blazer will look it came off a homeless guy. also don't wear brown if you're under 30 unless you're going for the preppy look. and for the small wrists, if you like dive Rolex type watches switch the metal bracelet for a NATO or Zulu military strap, the watch with be more comfortable and fit your wrist more naturally.
Funny thing is that all tips sems to work for my body type except the high rise one! My torso is crazy short with legs that rival my 4-inch-taller-than-me mates! If I wear something high rise I'll end up looking like Lewis Skolnick LOL
5 ft 10 is not short.. unless you're comparing your self to guys in the top 5% of height. Western society has made height a big deal. Due to the feminization of men. Women now only see masculinity in height. I'm 5 ft 7 my height doesn't hinder me. I get the women I want and make a good living. It's all about attitude. You will get women that won't want to date you. But who gives a fuck. They aren't important. I like being my height it has become an advantage in life. I feel bad for other guys that never figure this out. They never live their life to its fullest potential. Maybe I should start a class in how to use their height to their advantage.
Hey Brock! I just started watching your videos and I really enjoy your solid, understanding advice! It's Great to have you as someone I can watch and be inspired by! keep up the good work Bro;)
Hi Brock. Great video. I’m 5’11” but I follow your advice...they work well with me as well. Great videos as always. Hope you get at least 500k subscribers by end of 2018
I’m 6 foot 8 and am jealous of short guys at times. Being the size I am has some distinct disadvantages The advice at the end of this vid is really good. If you are a shorter guy you are fine....and your knees, hips, and ankles will outlast the knees and ankles on big guys.
Great video. What would you recommend for guys who are short and bigger. I'm 5'6 and 230, but used to be 300 so working on losing the rest. And I agree, fit makes the difference, but how do you get the right fit without showing off all the love handles and everything else, but still looking good. Love the channel
Great tips!! I had no idea about men’s fashion. Since I married to my husband (5”9), I wanted to make him look at least 2 inches taller! Now I can do it :D
I'm 5'6" without shoes, 128 lbs, 37" chest. I think my legs are longer than usual for that height because I wear 29x30 pants. But I really struggle to find good fitting tops. Usually XS is too long and pretty tight for me at the same time.
Long legs or disproportionately long legs to torso, is an attractive feature in women, but this isn't the same for men, in men it';s actually slightly the opposite. Although if you are a man trying to look taller, making legs look longer may help.
I really like this guys personality, not cocky, not arrogant, and genuinely cares about how people feel. subbed!

This channel is more reliable. Subbed!
That's right you don't to have Smartwatch to look cool ..the traditional handwatch still a trendy
Hey Brock! I just started watching your videos and I really enjoy your solid, understanding advice! It's Great to have you as someone I can watch and be inspired by! keep up the good work Bro;)
Great video coming from a shorter guy 5'6
Outstanding video. Wishing I’d known this many years ago 😎 new subscriber 👊🏼
Hi Brock. Great video. I’m 5’11” but I follow your advice...they work well with me as well. Great videos as always. Hope you get at least 500k subscribers by end of 2018
Sorry for the wrong grammar. Correct phrase should be “...they work well for me.”
A viewer from India.
Really good tips which are simple and practical. Thank you.
+Charujith Narayanan welcome!

Great guy knows what’s he’s talking about
I’m 6 foot 8 and am jealous of short guys at times. Being the size I am has some distinct disadvantages
The advice at the end of this vid is really good. If you are a shorter guy you are fine....and your knees, hips, and ankles will outlast the knees and ankles on big guys.
Brother, do you have a video where you show how to do YOUR hair and what products YOU use
Cool tips! And you’re stylishly cute!
Good job! I love this Video.
Great video. What would you recommend for guys who are short and bigger. I'm 5'6 and 230, but used to be 300 so working on losing the rest. And I agree, fit makes the difference, but how do you get the right fit without showing off all the love handles and everything else, but still looking good. Love the channel
Hey there, how are you doing today? Did you lose some?
Hyy, what about short torso guy ? My height is 5'4.
I just found your channel my man ,great content, subscribed 😉👍
Great tips!! I had no idea about men’s fashion. Since I married to my husband (5”9), I wanted to make him look at least 2 inches taller! Now I can do it :D
Hey 5'9 is not short
I love your style combinations bro
I'm 6'2 but I still feel short in front of my friends lol, that's why I'm here.
Are you kidding legit 6’2 is really tall
@@AFT_05G "among my friends"
I'm 5'6" without shoes, 128 lbs, 37" chest. I think my legs are longer than usual for that height because I wear 29x30 pants. But I really struggle to find good fitting tops. Usually XS is too long and pretty tight for me at the same time.
I’m 64 and retired. I’m NEVER going to a job interview again in my life mo- fo ‘s!! 😜
You’re speaking my language, brother. Same body build and specs. Thanks for the video.
I'm 6'4 but still watching it i don't know why.
Samuel James me too, I want look like 7 foot godzilla

Young Matthew McConnaughey killin the style game!
your voice is so soothing =)
+ternitamas believe it or not, I've been told that before. Also that it's really boring. Different sides of the same coin, I guess 😏
nah, not boring, I like it, it calms me down while I learn some fashion stuff at the same time =)
Really nice tips, you're the man! Keep up the good work!
Thanks Mr Modest Man 😎
Long legs or disproportionately long legs to torso, is an attractive feature in women, but this isn't the same for men, in men it';s actually slightly the opposite. Although if you are a man trying to look taller, making legs look longer may help.
I feel like watching a grown up Dipper from Gravity Falls making these videos. Brock's voice is sooooo similar. 😃
Super good advices. Thank you.
I'm 6'7" and I'm gonna be doing the opposite of most of these tips!
ThisTreeIsHaunted so lucky
Nah you should take them into consideration lol
Very informative video.. Loved it! 🙂
