Glad to hear the things I've intuited over the years about what looks good on my body shape are echoed in this video. I'm rectangle/inverted triangle and I'm so glad high-rise came back because I think this rise is most flattering on me. I went my whole adolescence wearing mid and low-rise so when high-rise came back and I tried it on, it was like a revelation. Low-rise has also been trending again lately, but I feel like any and everything is in right now so I hope there continues to be a good variety of rises in stores like there currently is where I live.
12:01 - i gotta say, im absolutely a pear body type but what i've figured is that straight or wide legged jeans look very unflattering on me while skinny and slim fit look really good as they accentuate my waist and curves. i think the reason might be that even tho im pear type, i've a petite body in general, so my lower measurements are significantly more than the upper body but still in general, the measurements are not too much. when i wear wide or straight jeans, they make me look a lot more like rectangle body type as they de-emphasize my curves while also making me look much shorter but with skinny jeans, they really accentuate the slight curves while also making me look slightly taller. so in conclusion, i think other factors such as your weight and height also influence what look's best on you along with the body types.
Same here. I'm definitely a pear but quite tall. The legs are long but the torso is short. If I wear highrise I look like shoulders on legs. Low rise works much better because it elongates the upper body.
Same here, I have zero curves (apart from my hips). When I wear straight jeans I lose the little amount of curve I have and I look like I have a rectangular body shape.... 😢
Same, I'm pear and tall, and whenever I try straight or wide leg, i burst out laughing in the changing room. I looks absolutely horrendous, kind of like a guy, really. And i look biiiiig in them I can only wear skinny, because that somehow makes me look a bit thinner.
@@miraxterrik i can totally relate. skinny jeans really are saviours often. btw have you tried bell bottom jeans? the ones that are figure hugging around the thighs but flared at the bottom. Ive been wearing those instead of skinny jeans lately and they look wonderful!
You are so specific with all the details....from the pictorial representation of body type to the suitable jeans ....everything was crystal clear....a big thanks to you for such an informative video🤗
When you said a person can be multiple body types it made so much sense. Because all this time I thought am only a hourglass shape but recently found I match a pear too and was so confused how I can be two? Realised that because of my shoulder to hip ratio. Im glad I saw this, so now I can dress considering both body types in my mind which helps me to even more wider range of clothing choices. ❤❤

I think I'm a rectangle leaning towards pear, and on the petite side. It's definitely a game of balancing proportions, and I find that high waist (especially ultra super high waists) works wonders. And yes, wide leg and bootcut jeans look good, but sometimes I feel that jeans defined the lower stomach pooch even more on me. I like wide leg slacks or pants/trousers that flows down in a lightweight fabric to conceal it. The thing with fashion is that there's always that one thing that becomes super popular and I really hated that. I hope all these different cuts stay and people are free to make choices that suit/flatter their body types.
This is exactly what I was looking for my entire life! Everything is perfectly clear + great examples shown. Thank you so much for your time and effort ❤
Your explanations are always very simple and loving. Also, I recently started rebuilding my wardrobe to make it more minimal and focusing on my body type which is rectangular, so thanks for such videos and I love your style
I understood this 2 years back at 31. All through my youth, I was afraid of wearing jeans because only low rise jeans were available at that time. Plus I had bigger stomach and hips but well defined waist. People used to tell me I had to cover my stomach an hips with loose tops - but then I lost my waist shape and looked fat. Plus I used to wear skinny things at shoulders because my chest was slim- as a result I looked fat in the middle. Since 2 years I've begun to understand that I need to balance out proportions.
After watching your video fashion started making much more sense to me than seeing some random well dressed celebrities. Thank you for your effort put in this video 🥰

Thankyou so much your elder sister for everyone who is struggling to find sense in fashion you don’t know how many blessings you will be receiving by helping girls who don’t anything about fashion
I liked the way you described each one. Well Done!! I think I belong to hourglass but the only thing no one addresses is the hip dips, which is more common than we think. those are not that evident in wide leg jeans but definitely show when I wear anything body hugging. those hip dips make my side hips look narrower from the front view. And to be honest I know it is natural but I feel very conscious of my body image because of these.
Don’t worry even I felt the same!am a hourglass with hip dips!so start gyming keep in mind to do nrml hip excerises and don’t do any excercises that the utube influencers say I mean the side ones. I tried and now I don’t completely say my hip dips faded away but yeah they r in control
You are so right in everything you explained... I would just like to add a little something from my own experience. My body type is rectangle, but at the same time I'm on a short side, which means the only type of jeans that looks good on me are skinny (slim) jeans, because others just look too big on me (like I'm a little girl playing dressup with my mom's clothes 🤣), so I think heigh matters too...
I was thinking the exact same! I'm also shorter than average, and i have never found bootcut jeans that fit me b/c all of them are made for taller people. :')
@@MangaDevilCat but I like them sooo much on other people.. Wish I could wear straight or loose styles as well as others do. But, I can't complain, I have slim legs naturally, so at least skinny jeans suit me..
5'2" rectangle here. I thought I'd look bad in wide leg jeans, but I was pleasantly surprised to find they look quite cute on me. I think the key is making sure the length fits perfectly. Of course baggy and long is its own aesthetic these days, but having the length fit your leg perfectly keeps it from looking like the pants have swallowed you up. I'm also sure straight jeans would look great on you, especially high-waisted if you go for that. Finding jeans that aren't too long is impossible for me, so I've resigned to just shortening the hem myself. I found tutorials that show you how to shorten it while keeping the original hem.
@@lurategh thank you for this advice, I actually tried one the other day, shortened it and surprisingly, it looks good on me... I just have to find the right pair (not too loose)

Very informative! Personally, i think torso length affects rise choice. I'm a rectangle that leans inverted triangle, but I look TERRIBLE in high-rise due to my short torso. I find that low-rise hits me where mid-rise hits the typical person and high-rise bunches funny, is uncomfortable, and nearly touches my bra. I would be interested to know how torso length changes these recommendations...
Very good video!! I love that you explain what your goals are, because for me, personally, i dont want my hips to be accentuated, since i have a very voluminous butt and I am quite insecure. Everyones goals will be different! So i am so very glad you specify these tips to be for the goals you stated rather than a 'You CANT wear this because you will look UGLY' like how many fashion advice videos do. Thank you so much💞💞💞

Wow thank you dear until now I never paid attention to what to buy.... At shops they don't even advice when asked which goes well with my body shape. Now I know what looks good on me. I am inverted Triangle shaped.
Thanks a lot for sharing this wonderful & precious knowledge with us..its really informative and helpful for many women who are struggling with their body types and shapes 😊 keep going❤
One thing you don’t take into consideration is: I‘m a normal weight rectangle with broad shoulders and narrow hips and if I try high-rise or mid-rise jeans, they’re too tight on the waist. And they’re likely to slip down because my waist isn’t much thinner than my hips. Aesthetics isn’t all, things need to be wearable, too.
For round shaped body, I think its imp to wear a clothing with extra fabric around shoulders, wearing a jacket with shoulder pads or wearing tops with ruffle at sleeves..
Thanks sis u saved my time in search i m very tall apple type for a lady luckily i live abroad and can find my size i just ordered and i ordered straight wala high rise it suits me after so many years huff, for a woman finding right clothes and styling is necessity. I live in minus temperatures so it is must when i go out.
Wow, this is amazingly helpful! Thank you so much. I've always been unsure which jeans look best on me, now I feel confident to go out and find them! ♥️
Just to remind people, she said hourglass almost same width of shoulders and hips because it's the important parts to know your silhouette. Just because you have big bust doesn't mean you're an hourglass. Take a look at your shadow. It doesn't include your bust. It's your shoulders, waist and hips. Body shape is basically bone structure.
Yes breast is included you can’t be hourglass with big hips and chest like a 10 year old boy. It isn’t just bone structure since when you measure hips you measure both glues and hips you can’t measure them separately like the shoulders and bust
@@sofac8252 stupid. What about supermodels? Sometimes they do not have boobs because they are too skiny to have them but they can still be hourglasses. Their bodytype does not change because of it. Its all about bones.
So so so nycccc video mam….I can clearly see how much efforts you made to make this videos….I mean collected all the photographs of celebrities and literally you are explaining so wellll😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Thankewww so much💕💕💕
Very well explained..i was searching this kind of stuff for a very long period and now have found the one..plz make more videos just like this which explains the clothing style according to body type…and plz also suggest some colours according to skin tone and body types..
Ur all videos r legit lit!!🔥... And I'm so very grateful for making video on such a good concept of jeans!! But one special request to u.. Just one college lookbook Or outfit video! Plz💗✨🙌
Good suggestions for wearing jeans as body shape I m 72yearsi like wearing pants nd jeans while travelling nd for outings liked ur suggestions got some knowledge.
I think another very important aspect of this is how long or short your torso is… For instance, people were short torso look much better in midrise than high-rise jeans. And low rise can look OK on some people… I actually don’t think they look bad on me and I’m 60! But they’re just not as comfortable I think. I would love for somebody to focus a whole show on body type plus torso length!
I've learned a lot since I subscribed you ..thank you so much for your efforts to make these videos❤..one more thing if uhh make a video on tops suits in these jeans..it will be very helpful ❤❤ lots of 😘
Great clear explanations! One important point about “hourglass” is make sure not to hide the waistline especially if you are slightly bigger busted ( I am also petite). Hiding the waist looks very boxy, even maternity like in the oversized looks that have become so popular. Everything else is amazing advice and your celebrity photos are great illustration in every type!
„We want to draw attention away from the wider hip area“ who is we? I guess the common styling advise. I love my hips (they are not huge as I‘m overall slim) and I love accentuating them It‘s sad that in fashion there always seems to be a narrative around „how to hide feature XY“ instead of how to best accentuate it (and be proud of it). Or both, as some people might hate their wide hips and some might hate them
hey babe thankyou for such clear explanations got an whole ckear idea of outfits and jeans actually my boyfriend pushed me too check all clothing videos finally its fully worthful of watched ur wardrobe capsule series and i request share ur journey in youtube as u started and now thank you 😍
I'd love to see a video about the best shorts or midi/mini skirts for different body types. What to wear for the summer that can accentuate the waist and curves while taking attention away from less flattering areas.
There was a time when we only had the option of skinny jeans I am glad that loose fit jeans are back in fashion. I have 6 pairs of jeans but I only wear my slouchy jeans bcoz it suits me the best.
if the jeans fit my waist they stick to my thighs and form that v line at the crotch which i hate, if it fits my thighs it doesn't fit my waist, ugh!!!
I am like tomboy. I always made fun of those who are more into faishon and talking about fashion all the time. I always told them "very girly", which i know its bad. Accidentally i found your video and got to know that, something like body type exists. I measured and i googled and i found out that my body is hourglass. And whatever i was wearing looked very funny on me 😂 I will follow your advice ❤ Thanks

Wow thank you dear until now I never paid attention to what to buy.... At shops they don't even advice when asked which goes well with my body shape. Now I know what looks good on me. I am inverted Triangle shaped.
Thanks a lot for sharing this wonderful & precious knowledge with us..its really informative and helpful for many women who are struggling with their body types and shapes 😊
keep going❤
"creating an illusion that you have curves when you actually don't" 😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣 I died
(6:50)
So well explained👌 I haven’t seen such a detailed video. Loved the last bits with what to do and not to😀
I need postive people like you in everyone's life ❤❤
Very informative and well presented video. This is the type of content we look for.
Thanks a lot!
Fantastic video!! And wonderful communication around each topic. Very thorough and easy to follow. Thank you!
6:40 "Creating the illusion that you have curves when you actually don't" so funny.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can't thank you enough for the video ❤ you're amazing and your content is so good ❤

I agree finding jeans is very challenging
You are that fashion aunty that I never had. I've been looking for this for a while.
Your hardwork is seen in this video. Kudos to that n very useful video
So nice of you and thank you !! 😊❤️
Well explained dear ❤️ I fall into the pear shape category. These tips will be really helpful .
Hey
Clicked the subscribe button in a blink…thank u very much.. this was so informative and u explained it so well!!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I've learned a lot since I subscribed you ..thank you so much for your efforts to make these videos❤..one more thing if uhh make a video on tops suits in these jeans..it will be very helpful ❤❤ lots of 😘
Yes! that will be coming soon 🥰😊 and thank you so so much!!
I love my hips (they are not huge as I‘m overall slim) and I love accentuating them
It‘s sad that in fashion there always seems to be a narrative around „how to hide feature XY“ instead of how to best accentuate it (and be proud of it). Or both, as some people might hate their wide hips and some might hate them
Loved the way you comprehended everything. Absolutely amazing and helpful video. Tysm ✨
hey babe thankyou for such clear explanations got an whole ckear idea of outfits and jeans actually my boyfriend pushed me too check all clothing videos finally its fully worthful of watched ur wardrobe capsule series and i request share ur journey in youtube as u started and now thank you 😍
Please! Continue making these type of videos as well🥺
Will do ❤️😍 thank you 😊
I'd love to see a video about the best shorts or midi/mini skirts for different body types.
Very useful video❤️
Glad it helped! 😊❤️
Think I found a gem of a channel and styling teacher! Incredibly informative!
Thank you soooo MUCH!! The way you explained this is absolutely brilliant. LOVE YOUR WORK...this is extremely helpful. THANK YOU
You're very welcome! Thank you 😍❤️😊
Such great advice! Sometimes I can’t put my finger on why something doesn’t work. You nailed it👍🏻
if the jeans fit my waist they stick to my thighs and form that v line at the crotch which i hate, if it fits my thighs it doesn't fit my waist, ugh!!!
Same here
Same
Same yaar😢
Buy what fits your thigh area and get them tailored
I am like tomboy. I always made fun of those who are more into faishon and talking about fashion all the time.
I always told them "very girly", which i know its bad.
Accidentally i found your video and got to know that, something like body type exists. I measured and i googled and i found out that my body is hourglass. And whatever i was wearing looked very funny on me 😂
I will follow your advice ❤
Thanks
Hey hi i see all over u r videos it really inspired me so much tq so much i have request u to do college outfits and college necessary plzz ❤
Will do! ❤️😊 thank you 😊
Thank you so much ❤ with love
You are right about the low rise and light color jeand for a pear shape, i look awful in my low cut skinny jeans
So low waist jeans doesn't help in any body type? Y2K was a mistake in fashion? Well, can't say I disagree, I hate low waist clothes :'D
❤❤ i always search these type of jeans and here you are
Hope this helped 😊❤️
