  • You don’t see many Mack Granite service trucks but you might see more in the future! Walkaround of a custom Mack Granite service truck that rolled out. This customer opted for the Mack MP7 engine (425 HP) and Allison 4500 RDS transmission. For equipment, we’ve got a 14’ IMT Dominator service body with custom lube system using Graco LD pumps and Reelcraft reels.

    Tool organization/storage? Ladder storage? Creeper storage? Coolant vacuum/tank/storage? Pressure washer?

      Thanks for watching! Yes, all these are possible. We've done everything with the exception of creeper storage. Would like to shoot more videos of these in the future... focused on building trucks at the moment!! Thanks again

    I was wondering if I’d ever see a Mack Service truck. I’ve always wanted one but can’t afford one. PennDOT uses about half Mack’s half internationals for their snow plows. ODOT is about all international. The Mack’s were always the better trucks in my opinion. We got a newer Mack the onetime though that had too much electrical crap that people took awhile to figure out. It wouldn’t start at first so they took it to the dealer found out there was a sensor that wouldn’t start the truck unless you were sitting in the driver seat. Our driver wasn’t heavy enough to engage the sensor.

      Thanks for watching! Wow that's crazy about the seat sensor, always something... We haven't built many Macks but they make a heck of a truck

      @@qtequipment why is it that most service trucks are non-Mack?

    • @qtequipment
      @qtequipment  7 месяцев назад

      @@scrapmanindustries good question. If I had to guess, historically, Macks have been built heavier (and costlier) than what your typical service truck needs to be. They may pick up some ground with the MD line but we haven't seen any of them yet.
