when docking ...it would be nice if you added an other camera angeling the whole backside wide view (so we see people doing the lines and the boat moving) ... ( i would place it next to what your doing with the sticks) 3 views on what your doing ... tnx hope to improve this nice channel keep going Ahh and maybe make a video on how to make your Checklist .. could be handy for others
I’ll say it again for the hundredth time, but wearing the head cam and letting us watch you on throttle controls bow thrusters is absolutely amazing and helps us learn! Thanks again Cap!
I particularly like the radio engagement with the different port authorities-to they, Tristan must come across as the perfect Englishman-and of course, they would be right!
Great video Love the departure and arrival manuevers Love the approach communications with Traffic & Port control The camera angles are great and clear Love the clear communication with crew and distances from the jetty. Keep them coming please
Nice boat handling, the view of the controls included is great. I have been following you for years. I miss the older America cups boats, these modern ones annoy me, I'm getting old and cranky though, so don't mind me.
Tristan I really enjoy watching you handle the yacht. Your experience clearly shows and your extra cautions and meticulous checklist adhearence is a credit to who we watchers have become to expect from you. I sense your extra care as you become more familiar with this new boat. Enjoy Barcelona. I love it there also in particular all the wonderful art.
Nice calm docking, like the PIP version. Understand you made it in before the storm, hope you did not sustain any damage this last week. Hope the America's Cup boats came also through unscafed. Couple of months in Barcelona will be awesome, we are soooo looking forward to those AC videos. 👍
Textbook docking, Captain. Slow is pro. Well done! Kudos to the crew also. Perfect job in calling distances, etc. A pleasure to watch. Barcelona one of our favorite port cities in the world. It’s going to get quite a bit more hectic I suspect when the billionaires and their hangers on start rolling in for the cup….. What fun to observe it from that gorgeous yacht, and perhaps get closer to the racing with the tenders.
This was a very good video. Really like that you shows all that is ongoing when arriving to a port. Port Authority communication etc. It is impressive How good you work the sticks and get the yacht where you want. Impressive!
What a privilege to skipper Espiritu Santu to Barcelona for America's Cup. I had a great view of the 1980 race at Newport, Rhode Island as I was privileged to run one of the two USCG 41' patrol boats that provided security for Australia to and from the course. We worked closely with Australia's tender, the Fire Three. At the time it was the largest peacetime flotilla of USCG assets. We had a blast, in fact many of those stories couldn't be told here. I'm certain you and your crew will have a great time. The tranquility of that port is about to change. Thanks again Tristan for the content you provide, your videos get me back on the water that I miss very much.
Those were great times, 1980 was a great year to be in Newport! After the races we had our traditional last meal at Salas' before setting sail for the UK. I miss sailing very much, still dream of one last voyage to anywhere...
Another enjoyable video. Love the head-mount cam and the controls cam view! Very interesting and great views of Barcelona port. Port has changed to a real beauty from my time in the navy of 1970s-80s. Great city one of my favorite's.
Very enjoyable video. You are so lucky to be in Barcelona for the America's Cup! I hope to watch a ton of the racing on RUclips, , but would love to be able to watch some of it first-hand. Rooting for the NYYC 75.
It'd be nice to get more footage of being under way. Something to convey the travel itself, maybe a map as well? Love the shots from the marina, other boats passing by, timelapse could be great. Also, love the shift and throttle control and thruster cam.
I enjoyed the videos from Awol, but the general operations and navigation videos from Espiritu Santu are of a different standard, reflective of the type of vessel she is. Onwards and upwards Tristan. Best regards and good luck.
Good luck getting aboard an AC75. I imagine the insurance companies make guest spots incredibly rare. I look forward to seeing a video of you flying over Barcelona waters.
In Barcelona 10-13 of sep, if your there then i come by the dock and wawe to you and the crew, always enjoyed you videos back on AWOL and now this beatyful vessel :-)
With coming from New Zealand 🇳🇿 I am jealous of you. We so wanted them to keep the America's Cup down here, but I suppose it all comes down to the money! Anyway, I'll be watching from halfway around the world. GO THE KIWIS! GO TEAM NEW ZEALAND! 🇳🇿
I always get something out of watching each of your videos. I use any tool(s) I can get to use in my own time in the wheelhouse. So any little tid bits that you can share that you do that isn't in a book, or procedure/checklist, I am all ears. For example the little things that lend to a more efficient day and operation of the boat. Good stuff.
Great video love these ship handling shows. Yes watching the AC races , we have one day delay in usa ( copyright!) . The AC boats are not really set up for ‘taking a ride ‘ do good luck! gb Ineos may be best chance??? Will you go out on the course to watch any of races? Cheers Warren
Another amazing video, I hope you know what a great teaching captain you are! What is the other list I saw by your pre-departure, do you have an arrival list, and an engineers list, deck? Much appreciated if so!
Just a thought. It would be pretty cool to mount a go pro on the stern to see the wheel wash and dock while operating the controls. If that's possible. Again Just a thought. Great videos, keep them coming!
Another great video Can you check the name of the sailboat beside you? Pretty sure it´s the one that belonged to the owner of Maersk Line until he died in 2013. The colour is matching the Maersk ships, wich makes it rather easy to spot. It was called KLEM, but name could have changed. It´s 25 meter,5 cabins, and was build in Finland in 2009, for a price around 7-8 million euro. Enjoy your stay in Barcelona :)
eyesight and experience I think with laser device you could easily integrate that system and display it for tristan nothing is better than humans teamwork
Very nicely done, coms with your crew are so good. As a retired engineer, just interested in what engine / gearbox and bow thruster you have ? Cheers for the Video, enjoy the AC.
Financial,ETNZ decided venue and costs not good enough to be held in NZ. Like sailgp, that has been paired back due to stupid regulations re sites. Plus Auckland was charging exorbitant charges for super yachts last time so not many come down, compared to say 1999,2000. Barcelona paid the most to host this time.

Love your vids . . . What is the name of your yacht please 🙏❓
Ummm . . .
WHAT is the name of the yacht ⛵❓
PLEASE 🙏❓
Why do super yachts always dock stern to not bow?

Nice footage of your arrival and communications with crew. Thanks for sharing 👍
Always amazed at your docking skills, Tristan.
Nice calm dock in Beautiful Barcelona! What a life
That was epic. Such a professional. Awesome.

Keep them coming please
I am not a boater. But, I really enjoy watching you and your crew work together.

totally enjoyed detailed footage of undocking/docking. Great. Keep it coming!!
Nice smooth trip, great docking, and great communication with everyone.

As a long time trucker I think my favourite parts have become your backup dockings.
😂 Mad skills!! Praise our truckers and always give rig plenty of space! Safe travels 🧭
Amazing!!!! And welcome back again to Spain!🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
I'm from Barcelona so this is my favourite video from now hahahah
We always enjoy the videos you post. Thank you Captain Tristan for sharing the aventure with us.
This was a very good video. Really like that you shows all that is ongoing when arriving to a port. Port Authority communication etc.

Good to see you back sir 🙏
Omg, we were cruising with Azura, and was there when you were, never would of thought we would be at the same place 👍🏻

Love Barcelona, really enjoying the channel. Lived in Baceloneta for a year, and I'm looking forward to the next vidios.
Great to see Azura on departure. Onboard her in 7 weeks.
Another enjoyable video. Love the head-mount cam and the controls cam view! Very interesting and great views of Barcelona port. Port has changed to a real beauty from my time in the navy of 1970s-80s. Great city one of my favorite's.
Bravo! Mad skills!⚜️Excellent leadership to/from team steps it up a notch⚜️Mesmerizing sunset!
This was an excellent video. I like the detail. It is nice to see the crew in everyday activities.
Thanks captain
Another great video Tristan. Espiritu Santo is a beautiful yacht underway. You are in one of my favourite European cities. Enjoy the Americas Cup!
Dear Santa! I need that blue sailboat!
Nice smooth docking 👌🇫🇮
What a treat to be there for the Cup! So many channels to contact when entering port, interesting. Great to see the crew as well.
Welcome to Catalonia! Good seas and fair winds!
The blue-gray sailboat in MB04 looks really nice.
Nice Video again Cptn!
Smooth docking!
Maybe a backwarts-Pointing Camera for the Docking Videos?!
Would be amazing.
As usual, Tristan, a very exciting video to watch. Thank you.
Slow and controlled, superb. Slow and neutral are your friends.
This is why you are entrusted with this motor yacht. Excellent.
Awesome dock maneuvering!
Very enjoyable video. You are so lucky to be in Barcelona for the America's Cup! I hope to watch a ton of the racing on RUclips, , but would love to be able to watch some of it first-hand. Rooting for the NYYC 75.
Cool docking. And lucky you to see America's Cup up close. Cheers.
I love these marina departure and arrival videos!
Well done thank you for the video
Love watching Tristan's videos.
Good job captain. Well done.
Verry nice! I hope the family can come out to join you for some of the action ⛵️
👍 A professional serie, i like it! 😅 If the "Holy Ghost" is underway, nothing can go wrong.😂
Great episode! Nice departure captain and crew! 👍👍nice docking captain and crew! 👍👍
So Wise , Thank You .
Another excellent video sir.

Beautiful docking captain... 😊
Clear view, the best design for heavy rain. It’s been a while since
What get's me the most: Tristan treating the radio like a true professional, using NATO alphabet etc. and ports be like: nah, no f***s given ;-)
Enjoy your video very much. Cheers Captain. Here from Sanya China
I enjoyed the videos from Awol, but the general operations and navigation videos from Espiritu Santu are of a different standard, reflective of the type of vessel she is. Onwards and upwards Tristan. Best regards and good luck.
BRILLIANT Job Captain :)
Barcelona is my favorite European city. I’ve been to almost every country in the northern Mediterranean, but as I said, Barcelona is my favorite city.
A very smooth docking
Love watching you move that ship around.
Excellent video!
Smooth docking
Hi
I trust you were up early for the start of the racing. Just anchor on the LayLine and enjoy the speed of sailing.
Couple of months in Barca! Not too shabby! 😮
So smooth
Made that look like child's play!
Thumbs up!
love it that was good to watch..
TF real phonetic alpabet, love it
I am impressed that a superyacht built for the South Pacific is at home in the Med when the reverse is rarely true,
I would like to see a video on how you Refuel, Reprovision Food and Discard general waste while at the dock. Thanks.
Bravo captain your are amazing 🙌👍
Wow , sunshine and warmth...... don't suppose you want to swap?, currently 3c here in cold Tassie. Another great episode, thanks Tristan.😊
No thanks 😂😉
@@SuperYachtCaptain , yep, thought you'd say that, enjoy Spain Tristan, you lucky fellow.😄
Good luck getting aboard an AC75. I imagine the insurance companies make guest spots incredibly rare. I look forward to seeing a video of you flying over Barcelona waters.
We can only hope. 🤞
Another good video 🚤🛥⛵️👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
Excellent, thanks 🎉🎉🎉

Great as always
We had the Americas Cup in Plymouth in 2011 not as sunny as it looks there
Sweet docking 👍 good video
Just a thought. It would be pretty cool to mount a go pro on the stern to see the wheel wash and dock while operating the controls. If that's possible. Again Just a thought. Great videos, keep them coming!
Cool idea
Ok Alejandro !, I will like and subscribe 😂

Nice job.
You should play "Ride of the Valkyries" while docking❤❤
good to see Morgan still onboard after her small oops
Great video as alwayssss
Thanks Captain for sharing your job activities with us.
Are you planning to produce any viideo about Bayesian ?
I intend to comment about what happened to Bayesian until the MAIB release their official report.
Sooo cool Mr Mortlock
Brilliant 👏👍✌️
Masterclass! Just a question, why haven't I seen you use stern docking station in all your dock astern videos?
How does Keanan know the exact distance to the dock? Some laser device or just experience?
eyesight and experience I think
with laser device you could easily integrate that system and display it for tristan
nothing is better than humans teamwork
Interesting and totally in control as always! Do you still have that SYC Lambo?
Very nicely done, coms with your crew are so good. As a retired engineer, just interested in what engine / gearbox and bow thruster you have ?
Cheers for the Video, enjoy the AC.
Great video
Really great content.
Hopefully UK can be challenger and NZ retains the cup.
