Great effort for a Crew Vlog 👏.. so many Karen's complaining about quality.... See this video for what it was meant to be... a Vlog !! Thanks Bering for allowing the crew do their best.... I enjoyed
Great video. I learnt that Bermuda is not here I pictured it to be. I'm also following a Fleming and a Nordhavn Yachts. Videos like these is the only way I can travel these days. Thank you.
Thank you to the Captain and Crew for sharing your Trans Atlantic Crossing! You did great giving us the real time moments on this trip. We are now watching the Cruise with Alexei the in the Mediterranean onboard Papillon! Life is good and Alexei brings that out in all of us!
Jari Saario, a firefighter from Espoo, rowed across the Atlantic Ocean on January 23 from Gran Canaria. The nearly 5,000 kilometer journey was completed by hand in a rowing boat. Just last Sunday, Saario celebrated his 51st birthday on the Atlantic Ocean.
It depends on the conditions, needless to say. But under relatively favorable conditions, a full tank onboard Papillon gives me around 4500 NM of range
Thank you! To reply your question: It entirely depends on the design. But as far as motor vessels go, I think the new Bering Cats (the BC60 for instance) are probably the smallest I would feel safe for such a journey.
Wonderful video. I enjoyed your crew. The crossing is too slow for me. 7 knots, 20,000 litres. This is a very heavy yacht, though well made. I look forward to your new aluminum cats. Perhaps you might also consider a line of sailing cats from above 50 feet. 4 sailing channels are now making custom aluminum cats. The demand is there and Bering has the manufacturing expertise. Kind regards From YYZ
We burnt approximately 22.000 liters during the entire crossing, bunkering from different locations. If you take 1.5 usd per liter as an average fuel cost, we are looking at approx. 33.000 USD for the entire crossing. We have detailed videos coming up where I put every cost in numbers. Make sure to stay tuned! :)
Would rather see the actual goings on of the ship during the voyage. Stocking the provisions, cooking, the quarters, etc.. Good start but let’s give the people what they want.
Walk the plank in the middle of the Atlantic? I'd volunteer... it's a spleen of mine, trying to go for a swim in as deep water as I can find. My current record is at 1100m... (done in the eastern Med, a few NM south of the Turkish coast)
This was Ok video , but it lacked sunrise/ sunset images, gyro stabilizer on / of demonstration and some content about food / meals and board and cooking in general and a short drone images of Bering 92 cruising in different sea conditions .
Our yachts are designed for global exploration, capable of navigating vast oceanic distances with ease. They ensure a smooth and secure journey, no matter the destination. So yes, she can!
Thirty eight liters per hour is very good. And for the comment that said invest in a videographer I have an idea, you pay for it. This is a raw video and it's fine. Safe travels.
while leaving the radio on multiple occassions can be considered negligence... making them walk the plank seems to be... i don't know what to say, fitting but not enough or enough but not fitting?
I like the efforts and the basic storytelling, I would really suggest you think about your video shots and what you're trying to tell the story of? Also, if you're going to narrate all of these videos, you should probably think a little bit more about what you want to say so it doesn't feel quite so random? Sometimes what you're saying kind of drifts off and it's better to be really clear about what you're saying and what are you doing and then do multiple takes if you need it. I edited for a fairly big sailing channel and they spent a lot of time really thinking out how much footage they have and then the story that they want to tell. I think this channel could be really interesting and could have a lot more subscribers if you thought about how you want to present your story a little bit more. Good luck.
Just a suggestion, but I would like to have seen the exterior of the boat from the dock and/or some drone footage. Also, would be really nice to get a tour of the interior. Your video description says this is a "remarkable vessel" but we never got to see it!
Equipment fails and dies, it's just boat life, always have spares ... I was pleasantly surprised they had a spare heater element !! for the hot water heater ... now that's a good stock of spares.
@aktxyz they said they were replacing them both. So they are very well stocked. My concern is that's a new boat. Berings are spectacular looking boats, but I wonder why they're not on anyone's list of best expedition yachts. I'm American, I know next to nothing about Turkey.
What a shame that the presentation, filming and editing is of such a poor quality. Proves that although being a great crew, making a quality video needs complete different skills. Missed chance.
Thank you to the Captain and Crew for sharing your Trans Atlantic Crossing! You did great giving us the real time moments on this trip. We are now watching the Cruise with Alexei Mikhailov, the owner and CEO of Bering Yachts in the Mediterranean onboard Papillon! Life is very good onboard with Alexei and his crew!
This has to be one of the most obnoxious/insensitive comments I have ever read on RUclips. It's a crew vlog created by crew members on a transatlantic passage. Maybe you should try doing the same before whining about the "poor quality" video editing. Big hats off to the captain and crew for managing to safely accomplish a solo Atlantic crossing while still being able to show the viewers the day to day activities aboard.

All that I can say is,” wow, what a ship and a journey “!
This is what Bering's are build for. Go anywhere you want. 👍
Exactly!
Thank you for taking me on your journey. Loved your video.

Exactly the type of video I've been looking for. Great job. When I win the lottery, I'm buying a Bering 88. :)
We’re glad you enjoyed it!
Very good Vlog, it really points out the enourmity of the Atlantic, one sail ship👍
Glad you enjoyed it
great video...sharp captain...good crew...amazing boat. looking forward to the next segment
Glad you liked it, more content on the way!
I really enjoyed it. Thank you very much to the Papillon crews....
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful boat.....thanks for taking us along....

Pretty cool!
Love the Miami river setting!
Is it cheaper to sail a boat across or have it carried on a ship?
We are currently preparing our next video, which will discuss this point. Stay tuned!
Great journey Firat Bey.
How far does a full tank(s) of fuel get you?…
It depends on the conditions, needless to say. But under relatively favorable conditions, a full tank onboard Papillon gives me around 4500 NM of range
Brilliant thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love It - travel vlog aboard a Bring yacht! Next Time, take me with you, I make great coffee, can do laundry, and wash windows
You convinced me on “great coffee”! :)
Glad you liked it!
Awesome footage thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
A dream to have made that crossing thanks guys ⚓️❤️
Our pleasure!
Absolut phantasic
Great video, i didn’t realize Portugal had islands so far out.
Question, when you are traveling like this, do you get to sleep in the main cabins?
It depends on the captain and the boat's rules. For us, yes you can but none of us do as we like our own cabins :)
Hi Firat, great video, very informative and insightful. Safe final passage to Turkey. Gerben
Glad you liked it and thank you!
Thank you so much my friend!
So much for showing the anchor adjustment.....!
when did you cross ? in may or april ?
It took place at the end of June and the beginning of July.
Love this content …nice story telling. What’s the smallest motor yacht you would guess that could take your route across the Atlantic?
Thank you! To reply your question: It entirely depends on the design. But as far as motor vessels go, I think the new Bering Cats (the BC60 for instance) are probably the smallest I would feel safe for such a journey.
How many days from Bermuda to Cascais?
It took us 15 days, 1 hour and 10 minutes of steaming :)

Do you ever encounter military vessels, like battleships or subs?
No we did not. The only vessel we encountered during the crossing was a sailing super yacht
How much for fuel alone to cross the Atlantic ?
We ended up burning around 22.000 liters for the whole crossing
How much fuel did you burn crossing the Atlantic?? Cheers in advance for answering.
We burnt approximately 22.000 liters for the entire crossing
Enjoyable 🇯🇲
Kekova is beatiful
I wonder what the fuel costs were for this crossing?!

Thank you for sharing your Atlantic crossing journey. A bit incoherent but still interesting to witness.
Oviously a great.boat, its been sold twice in a few years? Or not (sold), possibly?
No, she has not been sold.
Would have liked to see some more Drone footage underway

What made this Atrlantic crossing 'epic'?
A keelhaul would have been RUclips gold!
I love Bering, but please invest in a videographer to properly showcase Bering 92 Papillon , or Bering in General .
Please check our Bering Yachts channel for exciting yacht content! Here is the link: www.youtube.com/@Beringyachts
100%. I just skipped through most of this.
No technical data. Monotone/slow narration. Beautiful boat - showcase it.
Sorry for being critical.
No details on preparations, we don’t even know how many crew members, very boring!!!!!!
Walking the plank was a joke. Keelhauling would have been a real punishment.
But have you read the book? (Papillon by Henri Charrière)
I have!

I,m a great lover of Bering yachts but calling a Atlantic crossing epic is not doing justice to to Bering yachts on the contrary, bad promotion ,
Otalian name with a Russian accent...
I think this video half cooked. When do some job on anchor suddenly completed. And many more... shame...sad..sad..not satisfied at all.
