Stan Project Reaches Its Funding Goal - Thank You

- A month long Kickstarter funding effort for our new Alaska film project was started 26 days ago and yesterday we reached our $20,000 goal and are now surpassing it. This means that a professional quality product will be a reality. Just yesterday Ryan Walsh, the project creator, and I got back from traveling for 3 days filming all sorts of good stuff. We got back to the news that the project was funded. Now the work can begin to make this as big and great as possible. Have lots of updates as time goes on.
Also "Carry On: Stan Zuray's Journey from Boston Greaser to Alaskan Homesteader" is now available on Amazon in paperback, eBook, and audiobook. Amazon reviews always appreciated. www.amazon.com/dp/1521098891
Anyone interested in a signed copy has two options:
- Go to: www.thestanproject.com/mercha... and buy a pre signed book (the simplest)
- Buy a book on Amazon and follow these instructions. (Many have done this and it has worked well. Done hundreds and no mail failures yet).
1. Get two 12.5 x 9.5" priority mail flat rate envelopes at post office.
2. Self-address and put postage on one envelope.
3. Address other one to: Stan Zuray, Box 77172, Tanana, Alaska, 99777 and put book and other envelope in it (folded) and signing instructions if any and I'll sign and return.
Please send no money - my privilege to sign but an Amazon review would be appreciated. Flat rate both ways will cost you under $15.
As I inhabit warmer climes, I greatly appreciate the insight into the less [sub] tropical lifestyle. The raw nature of the cooler environment Stan portrays gives me an appreciation of another world without my needing to expose myself to it. Muchos gracias Senor

It was not officially cancelled but my guess is it's over. Shows do come back but all that information is way over my pay grade.

Where will we be able to watch the final project?
Light is at the end of the tunnel. I wrote this a while back:
"I still feel as strong or stronger that Ryan and Kari, the producers, are committed to the best documentary in as quick a time without compromising quality. I feel that way because I know how much time and money they have put into the project without any gain on their end except for the satifaction of doing something they want to do. Projects this size, done by huge companies with big budgets and full time employees can take long periods of time to produce a product which is often of limited, thrown together quality and full of repeated content. These are two people with help from a friend in the business, not recieving any compensation and holding down jobs to support their daily lives. Money from the fundraiser has long ago been used up by multiple trips to Alaska to film the different seasons They are doing great I feel. Stan"

No but it's in the final stages. It will happen.

Whens the project starting
Started before the funding goal was reached. Been 4 trips made to Tanana in the different seasons for filming and has been being edited every chance the the crew has. We only have this shot at it and refuse to timeline it - we just want it to be the best we can do. I'm constantly in touch with Ryan and Kari on it.
