Kickstarter First Video - Stan Zuray

- Big News - here's the "something may be happening soon" that I mentioned a few time lately. One of the best cameramen/producers I worked directly on the past Yukon Men show and his wife who has lots of experience in this field also (Ryan and Kari) have started a "Kickstarter Project Page" (like a go fund me page for professional projects) to fund a film project. This could be as big as people/fans want it. It will be very real and close up. What we needed is exposure. Shares on Facebook and other social media of all the posts that will happen over the next month of the Kickstarter fund raising. Mentions to people in the industry who want to get involved. And donations from only those who can afford it. Watch the video also on the Kickstarter page linked at the very end of this text and check it all out to make sure you feel comfortable with it all. This is a people project. Lots more to come.

Anyone interested in a signed copy has two options:
- Go to: www.thestanproject.com/mercha... and buy a pre signed book (the simplest)
- Buy a book on Amazon and follow these instructions. (Many have done this and it has worked well. Done hundreds and no mail failures yet).
1. Get two 12.5 x 9.5" priority mail flat rate envelopes at post office.
2. Self-address and put postage on one envelope.
3. Address other one to: Stan Zuray, Box 77172, Tanana, Alaska, 99777 and put book and other envelope in it (folded) and signing instructions if any and I'll sign and return.
Please send no money - my privilege to sign but an Amazon review would be appreciated. Flat rate both ways will cost you under $15.

What a great couple I knew we hadn't seen last of this good man Stan zuray I read his book loved it my 80 year old mum read it she loved it it's called "CARRY ON" WELL Worth checking it out .

O I can’t wait. Steven here from Dublin Ireland watching and waiting for any Stan videos. We all say we would love to live off grid but in actual fact I would say maybe 1 in 10000 could actually do it. Ireland is as far as I’ll get but Stan you truly are one serious person to learn anything from.

This looks like a great story for filmmakers. Stan is a fantastic subject and his book is amazing. But what does Stan gain from all of this? I'm not saying break down exact numbers for me, just asking if this is for Stan, too. He's a hard-working family man who deserves fruits of the labor as well. 😊
I worked on getting Yukon Men going for months for nothing and when it got going I did well. Nobody is making money now and it's all out of pocket for the camera/production (Ryan and Kari)and the way I do things is not to worry and it's served me more than well. If it goes I'll do fine. We have no way to figure anything out now - maybe in a few weeks. I do this out of love for the lifestyle and getting to be in touch with interesting people. Positive people I work with on things and positive people like our fans. It's amazing.

Right now we have some professional video of me. If this funding goes through we will have more and of my family and friends. This is exactly how Yukon Men started - at first it was just going to be me doing things then it turned into the whole town. This fundraising will determine it all.

It has made great progress and we are in no hurry as quality will suffer if we allow that to dictate things. Possibly all the filming has been done and editing is constantly going on. Some content has gone out to critical eyes in the business. It's actively worked on every chance the producers/creators get.
I think I'm going to gag. Poor Stan.

Funny I just started watching Yukon men again today. I will fund it if they learn from their mistakes! I really hope they change some things if you go forward with this. For example the very first episode I'm rewatching, wolves have a bite force of 15000 psi, seriously? Shit like this is what caused people to stop watching. The other thing is the over dramatization before each and every commercial, then come back and surprise! Nothing happened. Btw, love your book 👍🏼

ok Stan, sounds like you have a handle on this. I can't throw much into it as I'm off work with an injury, I'll try my best to give as much as I can given the circumstances and help spread the word. My wife and I enjoyed you and joe's interactions and admired your relationship, we often hoped the show would come back. This looks like something we'll enjoy if it works! 🍻

What about land? Do you need to own the land/ property to cut firewood and hunt on it ?
No we cut everywhere and very little private land so hunt everywhere also.
Why did discovery channel stop with the making of Yukon Man?
Too expensive - could not compete with shows made in a single building near a city by a cast that does what they are told to say.
Stan Zuray, that’s a damn shame! It was one of the best shows on tv. But when they take it from being natural content to scripted content. You lose the charm and character of the show and the people.
I’m really thankful you are doing the RUclips thing Stan! You and Joey were my favorites anyway.

Where can i find the first filiming i will donate once i see quality of film
That will be awhile although you should see some clips through out the month of fundraising. I believe anyone donating this first day gets a clip sent to them but check the Kickstarter page on specifics. This video is an example of the level of editing and quality. It is almost all new stuff shot on Ryan's first trip here. The drone footage and dogs etc.

Where can I watch it
Still being edited but well on the way to the final product. No completion date though. Want it to be the best it can be.
How much does it cost to get to Stan?
Right now the village is in a lock down. You can leave but can't come back and no one can come in. When all is normal a plane to the village from Fairbanks is $230 but I'm not there all summer.

We aren't 100% sure yet where the project will be viewed. We are currently focusing on trying to get the project funded so that we can make it. Our goal is to find the best and easiest way possible for people to watch the series.

I`d like to know how he kept his Boston accent, after living in Alaska for 40+ years lol
@Kevin R I`m in Michigan, I know I have an accent, but I don`t hear it because I live in that accent. If you went to Arkansas you`d hear their accent, and they would hear yours. Jus one of them Thangs lol.

@@jackmehoff2961 When I go to Boston my friends say I talk funny from years of adjusting my accent to make myself understood up in Alaska. When I talk to my family back east they sound very heavy Boston. When I have a beer I revert right back to my more Boston accent. On the race issue it's real simple - My wife is full Athabascan native so my kids are Irish, Yugoslavian, Athabascan. Others in town have some mixed race on both or one side also. Just like all over the world everywhere.

Well under way and being edited but have no deadline so as not to do a rush job. Got one chance to do it right and plan on doing it right.

What ever happened about the Stan project?
All of the seasons have been filmed and some talk of a tiny bit more but it's in the editing stage and going very well. There has been no letup on it and every chance Ryan and Kari have they work on it. The projects Facebook page has regular posts that update on things and try to let people know that it's alive and well.
