I truly wish more people supported chiropractors. A chiropractor is who God used to heal my son of asthma. I was desperate. We had close calls with my son when he was little due to the severity of his asthma. We were in and out of hospitals, had a breathing machine at home and he was on pills and inhalers. I lost so much sleep as I feared if I slept he would have an asthma attack in the middle of the night, and I wouldn't know. God moved this family to our hometown, and the husband was a chiropractor. We all became friends, and he knew about my sons condition and asked if I would be willing to bring my son in to see him. I agreed. I was desparate and willing to try anything for the sake of my sons life. He showed us through exrays how my sons spine was curving causing pressure on his lungs. Long story short. I took my son in every week for adjustments for about 6 months. My son was completely healed from his asthma. My son is 37 today and he is still asthma free!! Hallelujah! ❤❤❤

These stretches helped me to reduce severe anxiety. Not only did it activate my parasympathetic nervous system, stopping the fight, fight freeze response. They also helped me to release years of pent up anger. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr. Mandell.
Seriously??? I'm suffering from severe anxiety for almost 4 years. I've been taking xanax all this time along with bp meds coz when l get an anxiety attack my bp goes sky high. Even with taking meds l get so nervous when l have to go out somewhere. Sometimes l end up coming back home because my heart beating fast and bp goes sky high. I hate being like this. I'm a prisoner of this horrible anxiety disorder.l want to get better and get my life back.

Same here exactly! Getting better with excercies like this there is also another method of stretching it’s called The Melt Method and it has helped me quite a bit.
Best excercise for your back, had surgery for a herniated disk,and my surgeon told me to do this everyday. This helped me tremendously.
I literally just got through doing this stretch, which I do at least 3X a day❤..and let me tell you guy's this is one one of the best stretches everrrrrr!!!😊

So glad this video came up. The other day I realized I had not done much stretching on the floor anymore. Was wondering would lower back stretches could be done on my bed! Just did these tonight and feel the difference ALREADY. O my goodness THANK YOU SO MUCH

Ah! My hero, Dr. Mandel! I've been doing happy baby and several of the other exercises that you have recommended and I must tell you that your coaching has made a remarkable improvement in my back "conditions." I'm 76 years old and I've had lower back problems since the age of 12. I've been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and was always told I had sciatica, which I'm sure is true. However, it was only recently that I discovered the problem is the psoas muscle and illius (sp?). Until I retired 11 years ago, I had always been able to manage the pain with exercise, yoga, massage, and those nifty little injections that keep a person pain free for about 6 months. Then I retired (from teaching) and planted my ample butt alternately on the sofa in front of the TV or in my office chair in front of my computer. Need I say more? The pain got so bad that it was difficult to walk and I had to curtail even the most usual activities. This group of "hip flexor" exercises you recommend are miraculous! I never realized how tightly wound and scrunched down my pelvic region had become. Sometimes it would feel as if it were frozen in place! With your exercises, which I do at least once/day, it feels so roomy in that region, like there's wind passing through it. Moving is so much easier and walking! Well, I was taking some pretty spectacular falls, and I walked with great fear and trepidation, which, of course, caused me to shuffle my feet, which of course led to more falling. Today, I am steady and confident on my feet, and my gait and my posture are greatly improved. I'm now logging 5-6,000 steps a day!! I've lost weight, I can breathe more deeply, and I have more energy. When you say that doing these exercises will yield numerous health benefits, you ain't lying! Allow me to end this diatribe with a stern warning to anybody under 50: DO NOT, DON'T EVER STOP MOVING!

This exercise felt so good. I recently fell backwards in my garden and rolled over to my knees and once I stood up found I could barely lift my legs to take a step to get back inside. So for a month I've been crimping to get around. This exercise is helping greatly thank you

Doc , i have had lower back of L4 and S1 compression for 7 years and i have done all sorts of exercises without change but TODAY i tried that exercise and the pain is gone , it was like magic !!!

I can't thank you enough! I cried through the entire stretch which I can usually do with no problem. I threw my back out four days ago and have been struggling to find comfort. Got this advise from an Osteopath over a decade ago, to do these stretches first thing in the morning before getting out of bed, whilst trying to sort out lower back issues. Been doing it religiously ever since and advising friends with lower back pain and Sciatica to do the same. Great to see these stretches demonstrated here. They've helped me tremendously.

These stretches are part of the beginning and the end of my daily workouts. I'm 65 and I'm more functionally flexible and stronger than when I was 40. Partially this is due to a more disciplined lifestyle in regard to nutrition and physical activity but all of that is resting on a foundation of gratitude and love. It took a few years for those values to become prominent in my daily thinking but after I got that message it's been a whole lot easier to do the rest of the stuff we need to do to be healthy and fully human.
