NEW Audi SQ8 2021 review: a half-price Lamborghini Urus!

That’s right, the SQ8 and Urus share the same engine and underpinnings, yet the Audi costs nearly £100,000 less than the Lamborghini.
Naturally, there are some differences. The Audi’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V8 engine (that’s right, it’s not longer a diesel). It produces 500bhp and 770Nm of torque, which is some 91bhp down on the RSQ8 and 150bhp shy of the Urus’ output. But then again, the SQ8 ‘only’ costs £80,000 and packs supercar levels of performance complete with a stunning V8 soundtrack. It’s thirsty, as to be expected with a massive V8 up front, but it’s the most fun you’ll have in an SUV under £100,000.

I bought in May 2020 the new RSQ3 Sportback with 400 HP, a really great car. For Europe I think (my personal opinion), the Q8 is too big... you hardly can't find parking places. However, thanks for the video!

Think the performance v cost v fuel efficiency then the SQ8 is the stand-out offering more so than the RSQ8. £25k more for another 75 bhp and 0.5 sec quicker 0-60….can’t see that as better to the SQ8

Beautiful looking vehicle. And good review. I just don't like the sound of an orange vehicle, even dragon orange. Gold, however, Dragon Gold, that's another story, I love that. Do you think that color, dragon orange, could be mistaken easily for being gold colored? Black and gold, if black optics, a great combination. Silver and gold, if not black optics, sounds rich. But orange, not really.
