      Yeah there was what 400 cops there at one point all with tac body armor/gear, bullet proof shields, assault rifles, SWAT, multiple police agencies, etc and none of them went in there. Idk what I would've done in that situation but with that much back up and hearing constant gunfire in the room not directed at the officers for over a hour It's criminal how long they sat there. Orders are orders but knowing when not to follow orders is what separates men from heros
      if you don't know how to do the right thing you're not gonna be very helpful in high stress situations

    They didn't have any answers.
    Honestly, the only answer they can give the citizens of Texas is to just resign and go away.
    The fact that you are still arrogant enough to think that any of you should still be making decisions about the safety of a school district is inexcusable.
    Try to reclaim a small shred of your honor and RESIGN.

    If these cops would have shot these kids themselves; would they be fired? That’s basically what happened, kids got shot, while they waited in the hallway. They should be fired for their inaction.

    • @kyransawhill6650
      @kyransawhill6650 Год назад +1

      The cops basically used the kids as human shields. When they run away from the sound of gunfire, that is a gun being fired at children. They are deciding in that moment that it is better for children to be shot at than them. They should be charged with negligent homicide, but they won't be because of qualified immunity.

      @robbiev7146 Год назад

      Your right, that’s really sad. I have a younger brother who’s a sophomore and he’s not happy at school almost ever. Although I’m sorry to say but I completely disagree with you on guns, the reason the second amendment was given was so that we could protect ourselves. True I can see your point on assault rifles, but if that gets banned then it would probably snowball into banning everything. We don’t need to get rid of any of the guns, we need to keep them out of the wrong hands. Period. Criminals and the wicked who intend to use guns for things such as THIS are the most dangerous things ever. Not the assault rifles. The bad guys with the guns are the plroblem, not the good guys trying to help protect themselves and others. This situation did start with a gun, but it also ended with a gun. If we didn’t have guns to stop people like this we would all be helpless. If we ban guns citizens would be defenseless in situations such as this, it may sound arrogant of me to say this but if at least one of the teachers there had a handgun and was trained to use it this situation might have ended MUCH quicker than having to rely on the polices slow response. Though what angers me isn’t the assault rifle the douchbag used, it was the school board for deliberately ignoring safety and concerns. If they hadn’t ignored doing the right thing, he wouldn’t have been able to get into the school in the first place. To me they are just as much responsible for the situation as the gunman. It’s really sad what public school has turned into these days…..

    Chief Arredondo, of course you cannot see the threat if you're hiding away from the shooter allowing children to die.
    Look at Houston police and how recently a sergeant singled-handedly tackled a man with a semi-automatic rifle and over 300 rounds of ammo walking into Houston's largest mall. Not a single person harmed. Suspect taken into custody. But the law and politicians will let this criminal, like all other criminals, off with little to no repercussions.

    The people on stage are bullies and they tell lies and it angered me when the man in the corner told the man in the grey shirt and black cap that no children were hurt but they WERE HURT!!!! Many poor innocent children lost their lives and some survived but some were injured so the man on the stage who was in the corner LIED!! 😠😭💔

    Texas, their answer is to hire more cops. I don't think that will help.

    I can understand these parents wanting certain officers fired and not being put on paid administrative leave, but at the same time, the school board has to be careful about firing people until they can prove, with an investigation and facts supporting this decision, that they have grounds to fire them. If not, then the cops they fire can come back and sue them. I'm sure the parents would be furious if the police officers who failed that day could win the lottery in court, taking more of the schools/taxpayers money. If fences are installed, and more police roam the campuses, and metal detectors are installed, these kids will surely feel as though they are growing up in a police state, no different than the schools in the bad neighborhoods of poor inner cities. The whole look and feel of the school have a negative effect on the kids. It would resemble a prison, rather than a place to learn, develop and grow. But if teachers could conceal carry, it would offer more protection than anything, inside the buildings, without the students ever noticing any difference.

    I have tremendous respect for those who serve, What I would have said to that vet: I have seen more courage in dogs, warhorses, kids and cats than the likes of him. I would also say you want to know what real courage is, read the story of Private Desmond Doss or watch Hacksaw Ridge.

    Don't take your kids to school, they will just fall behind and be dumb asf. These parents ain't going to teach them shet at home, most of them work +8 hours a day. Don't take them to school, so at middle school they will be in special ed classes

    The stuff at the beginning is basically every reason to NOT blame the police. Should have locked the doors. Should have had better WiFi signal. Should have responded about the lockdown on the intercom. Not everything is police's fault. Students and teachers knew the door needed to be locked but you guys didn't do anything so it's partly you're fault too. Christ, pathetic.

    I CHOOSE KIDS OVER GUNS! They're the MOST IMPORTANT to protect than the 2nd Amendment! Just look at the children we'd lost at Columbine, Sandy Hook, Parkland, and now Uvalde! OUR CHILDREN DESERVE BETTER, GUNS DON'T!!!

    This was so very difficult to watch. I don’t know how these parents are doing it. We all deserve so much better for our lives than just the capability to put one foot in front of another.
