The strangest part of this is how he was actually able to pull this off without being caught. What does this hotel have a completely new staff every single day???
None of people at the front desk noticed this guy constantly leaving the hotel empty handed, then coming back to the hotel with multiple bags when the very first day he already brought more bags than ONE person would need? Do they not have ANYONE monitoring cameras? Room service didn’t think it was weird that dude had over a dozen bags in his room before he started completely denying their service? Valet workers are usually stood at the entrance and you mean to tell me NONE of them noticed that the same exact guy was constantly leaving the hotel empty handed then coming bag with multiple suitcases over the course of a week?
No one can tell me they didn’t recognize the man, the human brain doesn’t forget a face, especially that quick. And no one can tell me they didn’t notice him seeing that he has gotten service from them multiple times, had conversations, and tipped them. Idk this is weird to me.
What do the people that work at the hotel have the attention span and analyzation skills of a 3 year old? How did hotel security not notice any of this, it’s literally their job.

They are not setup to notice if a person arrives multiple times and takes a lot of luggage up.

It does seem that loneliness was the root cause, but he didn't know how to fix this, so he hated the whole human race and inflicted as much pain as possible- if only someone could have gotten through. Coming back from the hospital, people were frantically going the opposite direction of the strip and towards the airport and/or the hospital we had just come from. Same day OJ was paroled so online people were saying that OJ was shooting up the arena and 3 hotels had gunmen - Mandalay Bay, Luxor and Excalibur. So much confusion and chaos. Why he did this we'll probably never know. I will say Mandalay was quick to get the signs for multiple floors down, remove it from the elevator options and if you go in there to shop or play at the Casino, you're treated differently from guests, even though you're still supporting Mandalay with your business. He had wanted to shoot at a concert in Chicago that summer but didn't. It seems like he had numbers in mind it's just the...why that is really scary not to know.

Some ppl were saying he wanted to commit suicide but didn't want to die alone, so he did this so he would be remembered forever. I think this is correct, but I want to add that maybe he gambled a lot because maybe he was like "I'll gamble all the rest of my money away, if I go big (and it'd have to be BIG to change his mind about suicide) then I would take the money and continue my life. If not, I'll just do the evil deed and pass away." But idk. Maybe I'm just thinking money hungry lol.
Edit: I'm not American, and I have no idea abt any other information about this situation that wasn't shown in the video

He obviously did it in a pretty smart way. The Mandalay is a big hotel with a lot of staff and a lot of guests. Its likely he just came in on another day with more suitcases when other staff was on duty and 5 suitcases at a time isnt odd for a big hotel like that. No ones gonna tell other staff someone came in with 5 suitcases today watch out and see if he brings anymore. Knowing what we know it is easy to tell what hes doing and how he did it but no ones gonna realize anything unordinary is even happening cause no one remembers a person for bringing suitcases into a hotel, its nothing unordinary.

Plus I worked in a really big hotel here in London, there aren’t cameras in many places (like the corridors where rooms are). The CCTV footage is always visible at the reception but we hardly looked at it. We weren’t supposed to be on any guests case unless we thought they were pedophiles.

His doors opened, closed and locked repeatedly before the shooting began…
    1. Why would he do that if he never left and never needed to leave his rooms since they were conjoining?
    2. How do we know that no one else (guests, staff or other) entered the room?
    3. Why hasn’t the FBI told us why he did this in the first place?
    4. What gun law would have prevented this from happening?
