as a vegas local, I can with 100% certainty that no casino ever helps patrons find anything missing or left. After 20 years and multiple theft of my purse or pickpocket of my iPhone, I have been told every time that they cant use any cameras to help me. I am always sent away with "someone may turn it in, Please keep checking bk with us." Also the "security" in uniforms aren't the real casino security. it's the emotionless people in suits who always find ways to not help honest people who ask for help or general casino questions. The people who look like secret service are essentially just that for the casino. It looks like these idiots are cheating and stealing from casinos are not stealing from a casino here in Las Vegas, they are stealing from the mob who still very much run this town they have just found "legal" ways to keep their presence.Everyone gets caught in Vegas-everyone. They freaking got OJ and gave him a sentence that would have been for murder. Locals are arrested for 1 unpaid traffic ticket. They do it so they can make more money from the jails. They just can't resist getting $150 a head per day with as many "criminals" they can put in the detention centers. Even in Domestic abuse cases, both individuals are arrested even the person who was getting beaten and not fighting back. The cops tell you they weren't there to see how everything happened so both of the people have to be taken in and booked until the judges decide what to do. You may think what you do in Vegas stays in vegas but many times so do you. LOL
    consider this a real warning.

When OJ burglarized that room at Palace Station, I remember thinking, "He robbed the wrong person". I expected him to get a lot of time. I agree with you about things not being turned in or casinos helping you find them. One reason that dealers spread out the money when you buy chips is because each counterfeit bill is a separate count on your indictment.

It’s not cheating the odds are in their favor and they don’t hide it in fact they’ll let you know that. How is that cheating? You decide if you want to play or not don’t like it? Don’t play. Cheating implies there is somthing hidden from the player happening when that’s not needed for them to be profitable if anything casinos would lose more money if they cheated people because no one would play.

Here in Australia, there was a guy who worked as a computer programmer and technician. He programmed around a dozen machines and then followed their purchase and place of operation. Each of these machines he had programmed to deliver a grand or link jackpot after he had keyed in a succession of buttons, numbering around 20 numerals. These could be any combination of bet lines, bet amounts, spin, gamble, take win,ect , ect , ect , each machine was different and had its own jackpot code.
This system worked perfectly and the number of machines meant he could win a grand jackpot every fortnight and only see the same machine every 10 months or so.
    So what went wrong?.
Laziness or greed. He won a grand jackpot on a particular machine and rather than drive to the next machines location, decided to get his second grand for the night, on the one machine, triggering security's suspicion. He had it made, and stuffed it up.

Also consider that once counterfeit chips get introduced into circulation on a casion floor, until they are removed, every other patron of the casino is now a potential unsuspecting victim. Because any other player might win it at a blackjack table, scoop it up in a pot at a poker table, get their bonus in Caribbean Stud Poker or some other table game. Then it isn't just the casino that got burned.

Well, if the people making counterfeit chips then go on to use those chips to cheat other players, then it becomes something entirely different. For example, if they introduce those chips into a poker game and bet those chips as though they are real, then they are defrauding other innocent and unsuspecting players at the poker table. And those players are counting on the game beaing dealt at the casino to be a straight up game, knowing that there is a house rake, because it is posted on a little placard at every table exactly what it is.

Further, I hated that place because there was no solitude - there was always someone/something attempting to "entertain" you.
What to do if you did not want any entertainment?
Off The Strip there is much homelessness, and it is very dirty.
Later in the year, prior to leaving that despicable place, I found searching abandoned silver mines was a fun activity. But you had to crawl in the winter months when rattlesnakes were hibernating.
For me, Vegas was a boring place where I had nothing to do.
