  • Today we'll be doing a demonstration of the Tacklife battery jump starter. I bought and made this video a few months ago (obvious from the Northface I have on); and I have used it at least 6 times since the making of this video. In this video I used the Tacklife battery jump starter for the first time.
It definitely works best when connected directly to the battery. In the case of my Magnum here. I actually needed a new battery so it did a darn good job. It has a compass as well as a flashlight built into the compact battery jump starter.
Whether it's the best battery jump starter on the market I don't know, but this one definitely works well and I have no regrets about the money spent on it. So if you're in the market for a battery jump starter, I'd highly recommend the one from Tacklife.
I bought my Tacklife jump starter t8 from the official Tacklife store on Amazon here: TACKLIFE T8 800A Peak 18000mAh Lithium Car Jump Starter tinyurl.com/4n5we476

This thing is a LIFE SAVER. I forgot to mention the compass and flashlight on it too. Solid device for the price. Wouldn't buy their tire inflator though... that's a whoooole other video lol. Thanks as always for watching folks!

Haven’t need mine for months - and now I see what a POS it is. Mine flashes red/green - no mention of what that means in the owners manual. It also sometimes beeps (with no lights) as soon as it’s connected. Also, no mention in the manual. So: the two issues of lights/beeps that I keep getting - are apparently unknowns to the owners manual writer. Thanks a lot TackLife, appreciate it.

blinking on both means it's under "temperature protection" according to the manual on page 3 as well as the printed #7 on the jumper plug itself... same with this video; seems like the battery was too cold and wait about 10 minutes to warm itself up. the 2nd one with the buzzing may be reversed connections since on page 4 says it should be with a red light other cause: the car battery is totally dead or heavy corrosion at the terminals and can't be jumped with this portable pack :( hit the boost button and cross your fingers but if it's still buzzing, no go EDIT: the printed stuff on the jumper wire plug may look like the following video ruclips.net/video/nYjQYWkYVYA/видео.html freeze on 13:06

Mine works great. My 2001 Jeep Cherokee battery was drained because my dog sometimes hits his head on the dome light/map light and I've had to use this a few times. I always connect both battery terminals. Only thing I don't like is the clamps barely open wide enough to get a grip on the terminals. I think you may have taken too long to try and start the car after pushing the Boost button. I think it times out after a certain time. I could be wrong. I was looking to get a second one but Tack Life seems to have disappeared from Amazon. It's being sold under another name and at $20 more.

So yeah, mine works good too! It's meant to actually go directly on the battery. It didn't come with clear instructions (typical of the Chinese stuff) but it prevents short circuits. But it's crazy it worked while connected to a ground!. When put on the battery it fires right up! Holds its charge for a really long time too even while being left in the car in the cold. Great deal!
Yep. I just tried to get my mother one this morning! She's going on a road trip and I felt like this would be good to have just in case. But yeah, they're completely gone from Amazon. I heard Amazon banned them for fake reviews but... they make some decent items and they were great with warranty service too.
Went to tacklife.com and the thing is $109!

Was researching this model since an eBay seller has them for $59.95 which is an outstanding price. As I study more the T8 pro is out so they are probably getting rid of these older models. Bought the T 8 instead since I just have smaller cars.

It works GREAT! I've used mine... countless times and have only charged it once. Going on a year of ownership now and the battery is at 76% or so. I also leave it in the car and our winters get COLD. Excellent product and that price is almost too good to be true territory! Nice find!

You only have 30 seconds to start your vehicle before the boost turns off.

This is true! Some of them you gotta unplug quickly too otherwise it'll cause the car to shut off.

I had the same situation with my car I had to put my car on a battery charger to get it to start I'm not sure about these it's not very clear how these things really work your video was good but it looks like you had the try several times. commercial shows you just connect it and it starts the car not true. Thanks for your input.😎👍

So I made this video years ago and since then have bought more cars and drive less and need these more often. They work as described. Just connect it DIRECTLY to the battery, press the jump button, and then fire her up! If you need a new battery it might take 2-3 tries but never more than that and that's on a completely dead battery. Tacklife is the best brand I've used. I have like 7 of these things now! The green Tacklife is preferred. It comes with a bigger case and you can grab it from Walmart pretty cheap. I haven't needed to charge this orange one since I bought it years ago! It's like on 81% last I checked!

Yes, it's designed to prevent any shortage, but I was able to jump it the traditional way of grounding. But it's not necessary.

BTW, it's been 2 years and I've only charged it twice and used it countless times! Love that thing.

Your battery is bad. It’s just for jump starting it’s not a charger. It could, it’ll take a couple of tries, but it’s not meant for that.
