Quick Tip: Never connect the black cable to the negative (-) terminal on your dead battery. This is could be dangerous. Always connect (red) positive first then (black) last. When removing clamps always disconnect your (black) negative first then your (red) positive last to avoid any problems.
I just purchased this unit from Amazon's one day sale this past Friday. I got mine for 48.00 USD and it was just delivered. It's a nice unit and I must say your explanation was just brilliant on how to use. I'm a total noob when it comes to automobiles but a tech wizard. Thank you. I've subscribed!
Thanks for sharing your experience and for your support!
@@dial2fast how long after a full charge that it needs charging again
@@Blu-ManI’m case nobody has gotten back to you the charge lasted me over a year before it dropped 1% before I threw it back on the charger to get it back to 100% for a roadtrip we were going on. . I literally just used it about 20 minutes ago and it went down 5% from a full charge. This little unit is incredible.
I bought one after watching this video. Thank you so much for this great review
This was a great video/review. Thank you for making it!
Great tutorial! I inherited this jump starter w/out instructions and wasn't sure how it works. Thanks to you. I've successfully used it twice already. 😃
I just picked one of these up today cause the older t6 model I had was stolen out of my truck. The slider on/off does NOT need to be in the on position to charge. This is why there is a input port that charges the internal batteries of the T8. Mine is charging and upon opening the box and testing it power was 85%, it's now at 97%.
Thanks for taking the time to show this video, I am truly grateful!
ditto at Ollies for less than $50 with their 15% coupon... but amazon has stronger ones for about the same price 1000A vs this discontinued model of 800A. Slight buyers remorse after this impulse buy
@@ricebike I had to purchase another one at Ollie's cause my wife decided she wanted the t6. Ollie's had the t8 which is fantastic under 50 bucks. Have a safe new year !!
Damn thieves, they got my 1200 amp Stanley one i got in 2016 for under 100.. few years ago got into my car, snatch it, (prolly exchange it for meth) very important to have it case get stuck middle of nowhere.
@@Jose951Sanchez Yeah, can't stand a thief brother. Be safe!!
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO..... I couldn't figure out how to connect the jumper cable to the unit.😳
Thank you so much for this tutorial!
Thanks for sharing. Very informative.
Excellent video. Subscribed!
Great video that's for sure... first time see.
I just received mine a hour ago and have it charging now , it sounds like it's a very good device and this video was very helpful
Very nice review and information. Thank you
Good stuff well done
This thing is a beast. Hooked it up to a battery with only 1.5V and it started on the first try
Very nice review! SOLD!
Great video..easy to understand but will still watch it a few times so it sticks during what will probably be an emergency.
The power button is only for the flashlight. Sliding the switch to the on position will activate the power pack outlets. Just for clarification my friend.
Very important clarification. Thank you.
Great video as always! Now to decide this one or the NOCO.
Fullthrottle Auto I know right? My friend has the noco gb 150 I believe it is, i think he got it off the Mac tool truck, he let me barrow it & dang! It works good
This is a good jump box but nothing compares to the NOCO GENIUS HD PACKS!
on position - helpful, thanks
Thanks very clear review :) God bless...Ave Maria!
This is amazing
I kniw this video is a little older, but I cannot find a troubleshooting guide as to why it won't let me even try to jump start a vehicle. The minute I plug the nunoer cables to the unit it starts beeping and won't stop, I have tried recharging it and just unplugging and leaving for a few minutes, even tried having the on/off button either way and nothing. I don't get the green light anymore. Any ideas or tricks?
That is awesome
Had mine 4 years. Won't stop beeping
When jumpstarting. Does the switch have to on ON and turn power on(button)?
For jumpstarting, the power switch does not need to be on.
Can I use this to charge the car battery?
Sorry to bother you, i've lost my charging adapter. Which one do i need for this (AC charger). 2 A, 12 or 15V? Thank you
Is there another possibility for charging? Tried with usb, but failed.
I did everything I was supposed to do while charging the tacklife. For some reason the LCD screen says Lo after the 4 hour charge. Even now it says this when not plugged in. Is there a reset on the tacklife so it will charge?
did you turn the power switch to ON before plugging in the home charger? the newer models improved on that to auto charging... try the car charger as well just in case to rule out the defective home charger. Otherwise, try to return that product since this is now a discontinued item and i can't even register it on the website for the 2 year warranty
I can't get my green light to come one showing I have connection. I think it broke.
I have a question so I get charge it does the on switch needs to be on for charging
It's doesn't need to be on for it to charge.
This is very good. I bought a different model with black and green case and charging pack. I have a question. I was watching another video that talked about computer codes. I said that the positive on a battery goes on the positive but the negative should be placed on any metal part in the car engine area, I have always seen it done that way when jump starting with another car. But your video shows the negative going to the negative terminal. The other video says if done that way you disrupt computer settings. And I think I may have put negative on first then positive on the terminals using the Tak charger. So, did I do any thing wrong or harmful to car or computers. The green steady light came on. I started car right off the first time. It worked great. I was a little skeptical that it would work, but it did. Thanks for feed back.
Yes my mechanic does the negative to another part of the engine bay other than directly to the negative on the battery!
that's only when you're hooking up jumper wires from a dead car to a booster car. it's to reduce voltage spikes from harming the car's computers and to avoid igniting the battery fumes. With these jumper packs, you can safely hook up straight to the battery terminals. the jumper wires have a circuit that will not allow current to flow if you hook up the cables backwards!
What should I do if the car does not start right after I connect the j starter should I leave it on for some time?
Make sure the jump starter battery is fully charged. After you connect the clamps, see if the green LED is lit and if still does not jump, press the booster button to do a direct jump between the 2 batteries.
This was so helpful. Thx u so much
Can I bench test with this device for example testing a starter motor or hooking up 12v LED lights or does the safety features prevent that???
The safety circuit prevents the 12V from outputting unless it's connected to a car battery.
well, you can use the output ports for other stuff than the starter motor to check Lights (max 10A with the female cigarette/power outlet adaptor )
Am confused. Should not connect first the + (red) cable first and then the black one? 🤯
That rule only applies to jumping from one car to another. With jump starters, it doesn't matter.
what’s the difference between T6 and T8 aside from price? Thank you for the detailed review.
600A vs 800A but even now, this is outdated by more powerful units
I have sub woofer attached to the + battery post, should i remove it first.
If you talking about you have an amplifier connected to the battery, then no need to disconnect it before jump starting.
@@dial2fast thanks
Thank you for this video.
What does it mean when the lights are alternating between red and green?
according to the user manual, "temperature protection" wait 10 minutes and try again. this is also printed on the jumper wires circuit board
Я замітив, що якщо залишається 55% заряду і менше, то цей пристрій не зможе запустити автомобіль. Це так є?
Once I connect the plug for battery it just stays red ... any idea
did you figure this out ? I wasn’t able to
Don’t attach the negative cable to the negative terminal of the weak battery when jumping a car battery! This common mistake could ignite hydrogen gas directly over the battery.
This unit has very short leads so it might not always be possible to find another connection
no, these jumper packs have protection built in. you're only talking about when you hook up from a booster car to a dead car using jumper wires. this product also has protection if you hook up the cables backwards!
I would not dump a 5.7 L motor in a dodge Durango would not jump it.
OMG THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!
Thorough review
Great video great product, now please show how to get the accessories back in the case. It’s a jigsaw
Thank you 👍🏽
Can you use this jump starter to jumpstart 2004 Toyota Corolla?
Yes
Received one had 83% charge, so only took around 2hours? Is this okay?
Unit looks good 👍🏻😎 cheers for the review 👌
Yes that's normal.
I keep hearing a beeping once it's connected to my car battery
It is happening to me too and I don’t know what to do
@@lbarrera2789 ok so just press the boost button and it should turn it off you might need to disconnect and reconnect a couple of times
Good
👍
Car just stopped I used it and it didn't work😢
I jumped5 .7 L in a dodge Durango. Jumped it once and that was it and I’m still at 98% and would not jumping again.
That's worse than mine, if I fully charge mine it will still jump my 6.1l Magnum until about 95%, anything below that and it's useless so I get maybe three or four jumps before it's done and then has to charge for an hour to get back to full.
used this 4 times and now it doesn't work. plug in to charge , screen lights up shows 100%. only thing that works. Zero support from company. 💩
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👌👍
Just had a booty call up in tha mountains and she left her fuckin lights on and we were stranded out at 4 in tha fucking morning! 😡 anyways I'm lacking sleep and irritated af and now stranded but she had one of these bad boys lol 👌🏽 I was getting Irritated afffff thinking it didn't work! Turns out I didn't plug in tha unit to tha tacklife all tha way in so it wasn't even charging! 😒😡 video helped thanks a lot man lol.
Ass wipe
Hey guys I’m also dropping a video of this product that I just bought on Amazon feb 2021 and see if there’s any updates on it ! Thanks guys
