There is obviously a difference of opinion on this but I don't think it's disrespecting the site to let children who are learning about it happily climb around on it. We were there to learn about them and be fascinated by their life but I don't think it requires solemnity in the same way other spaces do. If you spent any time with our channel you can see that we are very conscious of other faiths and beliefs and try very hard to show respect to them. Also, if the stones were in danger of crumbling and falling down, we would have been aware of that and acted accordingly. Also, as for the situation with the house. I got after Daniel for trying to pick someone's berry and for not understanding private space. But we also felt really rattled by the response. Especially since the day before someone told us about a "witch" in their nearby village who was always doing strange, scary things.
Knorpp and South I haven't even read the comments but if it doesn't say don't climb on them then it's fine, anything in the UK that is delicate or will be worn or damaged has a sign to say as such. I'm sure it's the same in 🇫🇷 It's important to feel, smell and experience history 👍🏼👍🏼
well, you did the same with the berries hanging in the wall earlier, so it's only fair for Daniel to assume it was okay to do the same, it was private space in both cases I believe. Truly not hating, just showing my point of view.
Knorpp and South I totally agree with the children having fun while learning and i think their curiosity is amazing but i have to say that all the things that you are going to visit in europe are that way because the have been taken care of. If we all had played with them they would have not be in good condition. I know that is maybe something we europeans are used to because some of our caves and castles were damage when people werent used to take care of them (in the past century). I understand things are different in other countries and this is just a missunderstanding. Sorry if i come across rude but english is not my first language. Love your videos
Megan Martin - Actually, we picked berries off of a public wall on the street. The hiking paths are different here since they pass right by people's homes and get within feet of their doors and windows. It was confusing but still everyone knew it was a house and we didn't pick it. I guess when you share your opinion from a video where you didn't actually see the event take place you have to remember that you're opinion might be really misinformed.
Its always astonishing what long screeds of judgemental merde some people take the time to write, ESPECIALLY when they haven't watched the video properly 😝 And anyway bumbling about inadvertently offending the locals is every travellers perogative 😉, not that you did on this occasion, he was just a grumpy old Frenchman😬 🐌👺at last an opportunity to use that emoji!!!🙏
Eve is so precious and makes me so happy! I got into a car accident yesterday and today woke up so overwhelmed and discouraged and saw a new video of your family has been posted. Thank you for bringing a little bit of joy my way. May God richly bless you all.
I love the perfect imperfectness about it all...I struggle to keep things looking "just right" at my house, but I should allow thing to become more charming and less perfect!!
I just read the following "discusion" on this video. I saw nothing wrong with any thing that happened here. You two are amazing, wonderful parents and your children are blessed to learn from you. Please don't let this stop your videos or second guess what you post. Your videos are the bright space in my day. Makes me realize there loving, encouraging families out there.
Very cool! When you get to Ireland, go to Brú na Bóinne aka Newgrange. It's a Neolithic burial mound that's fully intact and you can go inside. It's situated so that on the winter solstice at sunrise, the sun shines through the very narrow entrance and illuminates the altar at the top of the chamber. It's amazing!!!
Hi Knorpp and South! I've been watching you guys for a few months now and I've been excited ever since you announced you would be traveling to Europe. I'm from the U.K. and I've been excited for you to experience everything that Europe has to offer. I just wanted to let you guys know that I thunk you've done an amazing job transitioning into a new life and culture, with 9 kids no less! You've been respectful, open-minded and inquisitive and I've been really enjoying all the videos you've been posting. I would never want you to feel worried or apprehensive about coming to any of our countries, Europe is a happy, welcoming and beautiful place. People are being judgmental on a very small portion of your life that you post, but there are still viewers out here being excited and happy for all of you. Keep up that spirit and wonder and I'll be looking forward to more videos 😊😊
You're living the dream! I've been watching your vlogs for the past few hours and your entire family is so beautiful. Please continue posting! I love your whole France trip! Such good vibes! I love you guys!!
I love your videos! Just went back and watched some of the ones of you walking through museums with the children. I love how you make every opportunity to teach the kids about history, life, and cultures.what a beautiful family you have! Good job mom and dad.
Such a glorious place...Totally transforming...Totally dream like. You are a brilliant family...each and every one. As parents ... par excellence. Thousands out here are in awe of just how truly balanced you are with your children...protective and yet freeing... like an effortless effort. I know of course that parenting requires huge effort....guess I am trying to express what it is like to see a family in sync and in love.
Haha my son is obsessed the with Peter Nimble books so I definitely caught that reference! So jealous of all the beauty you guys are taking in right now!
That is really cool. Where we were raised people were only in cemeteries, but, then we moved to a place with older history and it was such a culture shock to see civil war burials in the Walgreen's parking lot. Now, in Korea, there are big round burial mounds in the property by our house and pretty much all over the place. Every Chuseok, their relatives march up by our house and have picnics by the mounds.
Love this is one of my favorites...what a mobile learning incredible experience and the teaching of your kids and you about the world your family will always have such a treasure as God is everywhere XO
Fun Fact: Le Mans has one of the oldest existing city friendship with the city of Paderborn, Germany (which is where I live). The friendship has existed for more than 800 years!
I am so in love with these videos! Thank you so much for sharing your life with me! I never thought I would like to leave the country, but I believe I need to take a trip now! Prayers for safety for your family!
I love your vlogs! I'm sure you've heard it many times but thank you for adoption those beautiful children. When I saw the three of them sitting on the steps eating their ice cream it brought tears to my eyes seeing how happy they were, specially Eve, I smile every time I see her, please show more of her. 💕💕💕
Just found your channel a couple months ago and finally caught up with all your videos. Your family is beautiful and inspiring! I can't wait to see more of your adventures in France (and Europe)
I'm getting excited for my cross country trip while watching your vlogs! I've been missing the sense of adventure that comes with travel and finding my way around a new town/city. The simple moments of your day like eating blackberries on a walk remind me to take a moment in my routine day and appreciate the little things. 🌞
How wonderful for you all to live and learn in such a beautiful country. I love how respectful your children are of the land and people's property. Thanks for sharing your interesting life with us.
thank you for making these videos. you have such a beautiful family and it's so nice to see the places you go and almost experience them with you. my family is in the process of moving and it's so stressful and nerve wracking. i find your videos peaceful and relaxing as well as inspirational. thank you again for making these. ❤
Thanks for another wonderful vlog. I feel like I'm on a wee holiday when I watch. As a teacher I love to see your kids using all their senses to explore and learn -such a rich experience for them. I am assuming it was your nanny's day off. I've been thinking about her and hope that she is adjusting well- she is a long way from home.
I really enjoyed this video! What a lovely outing with your family on a perfectly beautiful day! Fresh blackberries! Yum. I once owned a home in East Tennessee where a farmer lived on the property behind my house (my lawn was fenced). He was out one day while I was in the garden one day and he said, "Hey, just so you know....see all my blackberry vines hanging over your fence? Feel free to pick whatever you can reach and enjoy!" ha I did! He even invited me onto his property to pick more if I wanted! I'm sorry you had a bit of a scare with the occupant of that seemingly abandoned home. Easily understood mistake! I'm even more sorry for the comments on this video which I feel were unwarranted. Children are naturally curious and they love to climb, touch, sit on rocks, etc. I love your parenting style. You encourage your children to explore, be curious, and truly experience their surroundings. Just wanted to leave you a positive opinion in the midst of a few very negative comments! :) Parent on, Knorpps! I'm really loving your videos and getting to see some of the "away from Paris and big cities" France! Teresa
How beautiful that you're living out your dream, Megan! Have you ever been to Quebec City? The old quarter reminds me so much of where you are there in France. It's very charming! And in North America! Thanks for sharing this with us! I dream of going to the French countryside someday!
Just about the time I was wondering how all the kiddos were lasting so long on their feet, you show us the neat backpack carriers. We couldn't last so long on our feet with our health issues - so wonderful to get to see through your camera! Such a wonderful gift you are giving your family with all this exploration. Love watching ❤ Also I had two years of French in school and although I remember the names of some things, I didn't really retain any conversational ability. I should work on that.
If you were fascinated by the ancient grave in the beginning, you should definitely visit Newgrange in Ireland. It's on the east coast not far from Dublin and it's absolutely stunning! It's all still there and you can go inside the "grave" (although they are not so sure if it's just been a grave) and look at some of the old stone wall drawings inside.
You should come to Wales there is loads to do but one thing I think you would enjoy is Saint Fagans it's amazing lots of old buildings and all buildings have been decorated to the standard they where at when they where built. It's also free to go in so won't cost you anything, there is also lots of castles in Wales to Pembroke and Cardiff castle are two of the best.
Hello I am a new subscriber and I can't stop going back and watching your old videos and new videos right when you post them. I think something that would be really interesting since you are traveling the world is that you should do daily videos/ vlogs. I love you and your videos along with your beautiful family. Keep up the great work.
Oh gosh the cobblestone roads!! This place is so beautiful. Unless you grow up in a french-speaking family or perhaps are multilingual, French is hard to learn! You guys are doing great with it. I grew up in Western Canada and so took French from elementary school until Grade 11. Years later, I only speak a handful of really common phrases. I wish I had applied myself more and kept it up!
I love d house u r currently living in .. nd I m excited to hear more french from u.. it reminds me of my college days wen I had to study french as a subject.
If your in the North west of France I strongly suggest that u take a visit to Bayeux !! It's got a beautiful cathedral and it has an American war memorial of all those who fought in the WW2. Good cute shops tooo xxx lots to do xx
I would love a Q&A with Sarah! It would be really intresting to hear something about her experience, about her job and what she's doing on her days of.
I love watching your videos and I love you guys!! Love from Canada!!❤️ also I went to Paris France and Amsterdam for spring break, with my school. I'm from the Northwest Territories in Canada!!
Love watching your videos! We are in Niue and we loved seeing how you trekked around the US and now in France. Would you ever venture to the South Pacific? There are some beautiful islands to visit, Niue Cook Islands, Samoa, Tonga! And many more!
@KnorppandSouth I wanted to know what editing do you guys use? I'm a new fan just subscribed about 6 days ago and I am loving your channel. It's so much better than all the shows in tv. I'm a beliver as well and love and support all you and Mike are doing with the family. I have quite watched every video you have posted but I am working on it. Love all the children and my son is also home schooled. Praying for your journey😉hope to get a response on the diting question 🎥
Mrs. Knorpp, I love your videos and your family. I'm sorry that the other commenters are so judgmental and negative. Please know that those commenters are NOT the majority. The majority of us realize that you are a real person, with real feelings, living an exciting unscripted life and you are kindly allowing us to follow along. Your joy of life and your love for your husband and your children shine through. Those are the things that make your channel so popular. Please keep just being yourself. I'll tell you what I tell my kids when someone says something to them that hurts their feelings. 'Be a duck and let those words just slide off your back like water on a duck'. We now just say 'Be a duck!' And smile and move on. Life is too short to allow other people to bring you down. Bottom line: YOU BE YOU!!! We love you just as you are. May God bless you and your family. ❤️
+Y Knowles - thank you! Some times it's easy to be a duck and other times I just get so bummed about the negative comments and I wonder why I'm even sharing such personal stuff. So, thanks for the love. I needed it today! 😍🙌❤️
I've been wanting to write you something similar, Meghan and Michael. I love your channel for what you are and how you present yourself and your family to the world, unscripted. You have a big heart and you share so much. I've been following you pretty much since the beginning and I rarely comment - just give you a lot of 'thumbs up'. And it doesn't even matter if I agree or disagree - I love how you share your highs and lows, your concerns and your unique view of life. Of course, not everyone will agree...and when we travel and get to know different cultures, it is so easy to miss the nuances of a different culture - we don't do that on purpose... that's just part of the learning (I've immigrated from Europe to Canada, so I know what I'm talking about). But in the end, it's just 'a different culture' - a different view on life - that's all. I hope you don't let those negative and judgmental comments change you in the way that you start editing your videos to the point that they aren't natural anymore. Continue on your own path - and enjoy the moment. I agree that whoever doesn't like what you are doing can just 'turn it off'... we always have a choice. Love from Canada to France ... enjoy the french countryside....and have a Happy Sunday evening. :-)
Knorpp and South . People can be very rude! I like the comment about being a duck and let it roll off your back. I love watching your videos and would be sad if you stopped. No matter what you do someone will have something to say about it
Megan, we miss you and your family!! Please post a new video. I know that you were offended by a viewer but please don't let that stop you from posting your vlog. I miss you and so do many other people. I look daily for the new video. Heavenly Father bless you! Love, April
Catlady003 I agree! Hi April (and lovely Knorpps) I couldn't believe what I was reading a few days ago, the family so openly invite us on their travels and I think we should remember that and it's a gift not a right. Ate a berry, climbed some empty burial stone sight, I was just happy to check it out... I'm not a religious person but the old 'cast ye the first stone...' came to mind three days ago. I miss them too and hope they're having fun and wanting to post again (hint hint) x
I guess we all just have to be mindful of others and their personal property and space. What we do in America isn't always ok to do in foreign countries. Chalk it up to lesson learned. Anyone that has watched your past vlogs knows that you all have respect for others and their property and that none of you mean any harm to anyone or their space. I'm LOVING your French vlogs, ask my husband I check constantly for new ones!! See ya soon!!! :) : ]
I think it's hard because everyone sees things differently when it comes to "respecting" space. I think it also would have been different if the bodies where still in the space compared to how it was. At the end when they were eating ice cream on the steps I thought everyone was going to come in one by one! Haha would have been cool but Eve was a cutie just enjoying herself :)
there's several berry patches especially alongside roads because the women societies furing the war would use them to sell jam and make money to help thr families and war efforts.
I'm sure it's the same in 🇫🇷
It's important to feel, smell and experience history 👍🏼👍🏼
well, you did the same with the berries hanging in the wall earlier, so it's only fair for Daniel to assume it was okay to do the same, it was private space in both cases I believe. Truly not hating, just showing my point of view.

+andrea pastoor - I'm so sorry! 🙏😢🙏
Knorpp and South Thank you:) On the mend! Hope you are all doing well and enjoying having the van back!
Jude's "heyyy" when Mike asked if he wanted to sit on the edge was so adorable, he tries to be sturn but he comes across so cute 😆
+Kacey Macdonald - I love that moment too! 🤗
He is such a cutie! He has been growing so fast! Actually they all are!
It is beautiful to see your joy and wonder at discovering "your" corner of France.
yes, enjoying Megan's discoveries of each beautiful scene! love experiencing it with you!
How simply charming and enchanting. Thank you for taking me to France I would not ever want to leave
You should also visit the Navan Fort in Armagh, it's one of Ireland’s most important archaeological sites and is really interactive and educational!
I love these france videos. I'm about to study abroad in Paris for a year and watching your videos make me even more excited!

The shot at the end of the 3 eating their icecream in front of the blue door and stone building would be a great photo!
Bliss out Knorp family... I know we are as you share this with us. You are all so extreemly wonderful.
Loving how your hair looks as it's growing out!
Susie O I've been thinking the same thing fir the past few videos! That length really suits you Megan! :)

I'm even more convinced that I MUST visit France!!!! SO SO SO dreamy. Plus, I loved your hair in this vlog.
Eve sure knows how to enjoy ice cream! It seemed like that ice cream was the best thing in this world.

You guys would really like carcasonne, very south France! But it's the last standing walled castle in Europe!
Have you ever thought about visiting New Zealand?

Really enjoying your videos guys .. I’m from uk but I love the USA so much to see and do
Love watching your videos! We are in Niue and we loved seeing how you trekked around the US and now in France. Would you ever venture to the South Pacific? There are some beautiful islands to visit, Niue Cook Islands, Samoa, Tonga! And many more!
You guys are admirable. Sending love from the Philippines! 🇵🇭💕💕

What an exciting outing! :)
Quick question, is Sarah still with you guys?
+Maddie Murray - yes, it was her day off!
Knorpp and South Oh I see! Thanks for the reply! :)
Knorpp and South what happened to your van
Eve is so cute ❤️❤️
@KnorppandSouth I wanted to know what editing do you guys use? I'm a new fan just subscribed about 6 days ago and I am loving your channel. It's so much better than all the shows in tv. I'm a beliver as well and love and support all you and Mike are doing with the family. I have quite watched every video you have posted but I am working on it. Love all the children and my son is also home schooled. Praying for your journey😉hope to get a response on the diting question 🎥
I really want to go to France and you guys are the best thank you for making me laugh ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😘❤️❤️
When does your van get there?
No matter what you do someone will have something to say about it
Beautiful video and an amazing experience. Is there any way to stabilize the camera? Thanks for sharing with us!
I was just wondering what the temperature is there ? I assume it's not that cold but just curious
Am enjoying you finding everything charming.....looking forward to you saying "charming" in French...lol... Safe journey. 🤗
I love that chair backpack where did u get it
you should make videos on what you eat
I miss them too and hope they're having fun and wanting to post again (hint hint) x
leoniemac123 Amen!!
Your videos always make my day ❤️
I guess we all just have to be mindful of others and their personal property and space. :) : ]
I like your new hair style Megan.
I love this family so muchh 😭😭😍💛💛

there's several berry patches especially alongside roads because the women societies furing the war would use them to sell jam and make money to help thr families and war efforts.
