Great video and the quality is quite good. Honestly Atlas Rises was one of my favorite updates I think it was the perfect balance of old and new visuals to.

Thanks for watching and commenting! I remember Atlas Rises got a lot of flak from some of the explorers in the community at the time but I thought it was pretty good overall with the new biomes and POIs. However, I still remember a specific combination of highlighter yellow, pink, and lime green terrain that just didn't work. lol

Absolutely great video...something like this needed to be done with NMS...so many updates throughout the years that updates start to blend together...the way the video is structured is very good; going on side tangents, explaining certain features more than others, ways you explain certain experiences you had (like the info about the oceans depths and the Colossus) and way you are free flowing the conversation is absolutely great; things like this might seem a bit all over the place but its adding context and more info on certain things that need a bit more clarification. The way the objective ranking is being made is great; its explains how the game is improving little by little and its great for bringing the conversation back to square 1 for each update (we the listener aren't getting too lost in the conversation). The personal ratings you are giving after the more objective rank is okay but personally will tell you to not go into too much detail why you rate that way you do; because since in the future you are going to make a tier list. In those you go into detail why you rate the way you do (thats why Tier List are so awesome). For the length of the video, 1 hour is pretty good but if you need more thats okay; dont force to keep a certain time frame. Having 3 to 5 updates in each episode is great; and personally I think you should atleast mentioned the very small updates like ByteBeat, Crossplay etc...so we can see and know were those showed up in the context of all the updates. 1 more visual thing that is not a big deal but a bit uncomfortable on my side is the, little screen shake/transitional visual animation it does when you go to another update patch notes; it feels a bit jarring since it last a bit too long for the transition to end; a bit shorter transition would be great. Apart from everything I mentioned everything is great, love this type of videos of the fans talking about the changes of the game as it has changed throughout the years; and with the added personal experiences you had makes this videos very special to NMS Community. Thanks again for these videos...been a fan since The first one 😊😊😊❤❤❤

Thanks for taking the time to watch and write such a thoughtful comment! I appreciate your attention to detail. I will be mentioning the smaller, named updates as I move through the timeline. I simply won't be scoring and ranking them alongside the larger title updates. I will definitely take all of your feedback into consideration, especially regarding transitions. Thanks again for your support since day one!

Atlas Rises have a very, very, very soft spot in my heart. I couldn't have NMS at launch for various reasons, my PC wasn't strong enough, and I didn't had the PS4. But I always checked the updates and watched people play and I even was able to play a little of 1.2 (AND I played 1.0 because I do have an original copy of the initial release game, I paid around 5$, brand new, still sealed by the time Atlas Rises was just released). And Atlas rises had a lot of cool planets. Ever since Next, they never figured out how to bring the same pallet of Atlas Rises back, and I never found another beautiful planet as the purple I had my base on. xD
I loved NEXT, but Atlas Rises was essentially the NMS they wanted to give us on launch. And I spent around 300 hours on it.

I pre-ordered this game on day 1. Played it ever since with a little time off. In my opinion, with way over 3500 hours in, atlas rises was the last and best update as far as graphics are concerned. The oceans were DEEP, they were clear. Now, after the next update, it ruined a lot. There are no more really deep oceans, the water is opaque, and a huge part of the detail has been lost. The original geks had a certain look. They looked like their creator really cared and put a lot of time into them. Spots, eyes, so much detail. Today, they look mass produced and cartoony in a lot of respects. I have a save I go back to and play on atlas rises, another from just before beyond. The atlas rises save is by far my favorite. Some trees and plants had needles like pine trees you could see. The detail was fantastic. Now, playing endurance, it's a lot different. So much has been lost. It's like they have mass produced the updates but forgotten their roots. They need to bring it back to what it once was. Leave most or all the updates in, but do a massive graphics overhaul and bring it back around to something that looks more realistic instead of cartoony.
