I freaking love this update, probably my favorite one in the 4 years I've been playing this game. I always kinda pretended the planets looked cool while I purely focused on the content on them, but now I finally just walk around and look at things. The shadows is something I haven't seen anyone mention, like I saw half of an outpost get covered by a tree's shadow and it's something I've never seen before, or I walked into an ancient ruin and saw the moonlight come through that round window. The shadows really make the game look so modern now. Also wow, a NMS content creator who actually swears in his videos!
If I'm remembering correctly, the reason stated on the website patch notes for the living buildings is due to anomaly storms striking the area causing the buildings in the area to sprout legs and waddle off. I find that hilarious and intriguing.
Yolo Nolo. Glad you found time to make this video. This is why Hello Games is such a great company. 8 years, never asked for another dime from us, yet gave so much.
one thing i'm really hoping for at some point is different shapes of terrain. sure we have rolling hills and huge mountains, but they're all made out of very rounded spherical terrain. having more uneven or pointy shapes that could generate would make the planets look so much more realistic. and not to mention, GAS GIANTS. i don't know how you'd get them to work, maybe you'd have to install some kind of pressure protection device in order to enter them, and if you fly down long enough, you could get to it's liquid core.
I would love if they added gas giants in the inner and outer systems, as new planets not to mess any thing up. They could have a few big moons or many small moons (would be nice to be able to land on big asteroids, that could be barren moons for gas giants, but a few km across)
It's a great update! I haven't been this obsessed with the game since probably Origins. Great video too! I love the section where you mention my video. 😂 Hello Games are the GOATs! And I'm in the same boat as your civ. I'm moving my settlement after this update. lol

In my playthrough so far most planets feel too barren with foliage spread out way too thin. I'll fly over and see a few big trees here and there and that's it. This game would be awesome if you could customize starships like starfield, better base building, resources that you can see and build miners or even a base building mechanics like satisfactory.
Hopefully we get the custom Sentinel ships in part two. I have all the parts I need to make the best Sentinel ship. Can't wait for Part 2. Hopefully it comes in part two.
tried to get into this game so many times... I just don't see the point of the game. I walk around constantly repairing my suit and scanning stuff. Fix my ship and I'm just not caring....there seems to be no point other than to scout empty planets for the sake of scanning things?
Yes....They are not DLC... They are core gameplay changes. There are some things you won't be able to get without help or a save file editor. Like the Iron Vulture ship from expedition 13.

I have gonr and bought the game again full price on my PC for this update (play in ps5 usually) becausr they bring it out for free and i wanted to support them. Cant wait to play their new fantasy game coming out
This update is one GIANT step towards the right direction for the planets but there's still things that needs to be improved, like the terrain for example, I feel like the game needs more crazy and bumpy terrain, I mean origins did improve the terrain quite a bit but from what I've seen from mods, this game is capable of doing so much more with the terrain then what it's doing right now, for example there's this youtuber called Scott Gust who's been playing around with the game's engine and he's generated quite stunning looking planets, if worlds part 2 has terrain like that then this game will honestly become my favorite game of all time! :p
It’s time to move on. They’ve proven that they could turn around a game from being disappointing to being great. But it’s far outstayed it’s welcome, and it’s really about time to make their next game.

Hopefully we get the custom Sentinel ships in part two. I have all the parts I need to make the best Sentinel ship. Can't wait for Part 2. Hopefully it comes in part two.
Still no rivers
Hey I'm a new viewer of the channel, what ship are you flying?
Next day off dusting off my copy of NMS on switch 👍👍
7:00 did he just clip that landmass? wtf, you can fly through terrain in this game?
This is an incredible update and has made exploration that much more interesting! Deeper oceans would just round it all off I reckon.
tried to get into this game so many times... I just don't see the point of the game. I walk around constantly repairing my suit and scanning stuff. Fix my ship and I'm just not caring....there seems to be no point other than to scout empty planets for the sake of scanning things?
It’s not for everyone… that fixing and scanning stage really is only the first 3% of the game it opens up a lot more mid and end game
Oh NOOOOO MY NABOO DOCUMENTARY IS RUINED!!!!
It added 1 monster and islands with waterfalls in the sky, i havent even seen waterfalls on the actuall planets only in those islands.
Bro are you done? You keep coming back every few days to talk crap about this update. Who hurt you?
@@nolopada he’s probably trolling you for all I know.
@purpleplays69420 probably 🤣
I want tsunami in this world
Wake me up when oceans are deeper than my local pool and sky islands are actually cool!
Can some one confirm for me please... I'm going to re-download the game as I haven't been on in about a year. Will I have all the updates?
The game should have all the updates when you reinstall it
Yes....They are not DLC... They are core gameplay changes. There are some things you won't be able to get without help or a save file editor. Like the Iron Vulture ship from expedition 13.
im gonna toss you a shea ultralight soap bar rn
13:07 It's been 8 years. NMS released in August of 2016. Just sayin'...
Oops, good catch. Meant to say 8
@@nolopada It's all good. Great video, tho. I enjoy all the NMS content you put out. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Hello Games is quickly becoming one of ny favourite developers (up there with capcom), the fact they are releasing this for free is amazing. I have gonr and bought the game again full price on my PC for this update (play in ps5 usually) becausr they bring it out for free and i wanted to support them. Cant wait to play their new fantasy game coming out
Unfortunately my game won’t even open.
No mans sky is so revolutionary, it's gonna be seen as "ahead of it's time".
Helldivers devs should learn from hello games.
Yo man what is the kind of ship at 0:18 ??
Thanks
We’re beginning to make a REAL game now 🔥🔥🔥
now leave the coordinates for these planets in the video tks
I literally changes almost nothings, just a water change a better texture change. And some new pets 💀
🤡
@@brandtrobinson690 🤡🤡🤡🤡
Go back to Starfield!
@@zazoreal5536 star field sucks 💀
I punched in the coords (i think correctly) didn't take me here....
Where u tryna go?
@@nolopada I messed up. was in wrong galaxy. thanks..
It’s easier to get waterworlds
Reason why Kanaju’s predictions are so on point is because developers are watching his videos.
He even designed some parts of the new system stations.
hell divers to nms?
Hope we can eventually see each other's capes.
hi man that is you graphic settings? thanks.
Medium- High running on a 3060TI, if you want me to break it down by graphic setting lmk! I’ve found a good balance that runs well
It’s time to move on. They’ve proven that they could turn around a game from being disappointing to being great. But it’s far outstayed it’s welcome, and it’s really about time to make their next game.
