I think you did a great job with Folsom prison blues, I like your style and I agree with leaving some flaws in there makes it sound much cooler, nice job Adrian!
Thank you - I don't like and I don't play Country style stuff, but this was so enlightening, so nicely broke down into digestible pieces, that I watched through the whole thing. I still don't country, but I enjoyed seeing the little things that make it "sound country" you broke it down to. Thanks again for the great lesson!
Glad you liked it. Yes, country isn't for everyone I know. My own tastes are definitely towards the more alternative end of the country music spectrum. But I've also used a lot of these kind of concepts in other styles of music too.
You're a hell of a guitar player and....you can actually explain what's going on without falling into endless boring theory what is important too but not on a sunday afternoon 🙂I'm now at 3/4 of your pace of the solo. I'ts suberb so I want to know how to play it! Great stuff !
"not enough flaws in modern music" Bless you, son. It's sad that the ears of young people are being groomed to consume digital film flammery and pay the record makers for a beat drop , not the soul and feeling of someone who is in tune with their chosen instrument. Thanks for your effort. I've learned a lot. Greatly appreciated.
Agree - however, lets recall that so-called modern music is much less articulated than that of, say, the 60's, 70's, 80s,....There are much less ideas, and much more repetition. So making it "perfect" becomes easier....
Lots of useful tips there Adrian and very much appreciated. You played a lick using the 'd' to 'd7' shape with syncopated rhythm which is super familiar to me as I play the same sort of thing with what is basically an 'a' shape but reaching up three frets for the 7th note if it were an 'a' chord from the 5th -'e'(I hope that made sense). Madness, but I hadn't thought to cross it over, many thanks. Advert rich today, many congratulations. 😎🎙🎸✅
Perfect lesson as usual. I made my own simplified version I can work on, but incorporated 6th and some of your licks. Learned a lot and great fun to play. Thank you!
❤I just love this dude I wish I could have personal lessons from him unfortunately I'm in South African great stuff always a pleasure to watch your vidios
Adrian, you’re a real inspiration to a lot of players out there. You should be proud of the massive time and effort you’ve put forth to accomplish this. Yes, I realize how much fun it is, that’s why we play. Great video and would love to see some acoustic stuff as well. Thanks so much!
No doubt - I own 15+ guitars (including LP, ES-355, Strat, more) and two of them are Tele's. I find I play the Telecasters about 75% of the time. Wide range of tone, ALWAYS stay in tune, lots of fun!
Hey Adrain! I enjoy all your videos especially the post punk ones. I see a lot of people commenting on how you always manage to get a killer guitar tone whether it be country, punk, or whatever. Would you ever consider doing a video all about tone? A lot of beginners like myself never know where to start when it comes to pedals, amp settings etc... Thank you for all the vids!!! you rock !
Adrian the smoke is just blowing off that fret board, totally excellent country riffin and a stonkin video to boot. Adrian love those tasty country motifs and your website is simply a Gold mine of tremendous material and tutorials Thanks a mil and great to see you gettin into the groove. And the weekend is always going to be a bit tastier if there's a video from Adrian
There isn't a session player, or any player for that matter in Nashville, that can play better than, or as good as you, Adrian!! Not blowing smoke, just making an educated observation. Cheers, mate!! :)
My favourite's probably James Burton - looked at quite a lot of his stuff on my channel. Also love Roy Nichols, Clarence White. For the flashier stuff maybe Albert Lee, Brent Mason. Jerry Donahue's amazing too.
My question is improvising and doing this in some places like where I live, Nashville, seems like it might not go over so well? But it's exactly what I'm thinking about doing to try to go ahead and start performing. Any comments?
They say, it is never too late to learn, but I don't think, I can ever learn anything like this. You have a gift from the higher powers, man. Thank you.
In the early 90 I bought the 52 RI Tele man I regret loosing it I don't rember what I did I think it was up I get a better guitar I'll be a better player ..
THANK YOU Adrian-did anyone ever say You are the Best most Un-Country Lookin Guitar Player of the Year ? Who needs boots and a hat? Would you just 1 time put a hat on for us? A cowboy hat. A blue Velvet one, like I had as a Kid- You are the best teacher THANKS...As a matter of fact, you are the Best Non-Guitar Looking Player Teacher of the Year as well ! Have you done FREE BIRD?
Thanks for this great lesson. I love the major pentatonic scale but I always add the flatted 3rd and then rename it my "Country Pentatonic" scale, even though it's no longer really pentatonic lol. I have to explore the CAGED system of soloing over chords a little more. Anyway, dig your channel and your lessons!
I'm an advanced player and playing critic. You played that to the T. Of course, you are more advanced than I am and know what you expect. Believe me, no one else thought you messed up. Great job.
I love your lessons. I started with Stackolee and I haven't looked back. Daddystovepipe isn't bad either, but you make a lot of videos that are fair game for beginners.
I had spent years using the pentatonic shapes for minor. I still remember the day I discovered being able to use the same shapes for major! I love in particular bending that 2 to a major 3rd and then plucking the root an octave above.
Top notch stuff Adrian, saved to my favourites and regularly visited to expanded my riff library over this classic song. Smashing easy to follow tutorial
love your lesson, I've played blues for years and now i'm learning some country, its like a totally different language to me ... this has been very helpful, thanks for taking the time to make this video
That was kick ass! I'm not even much of a country fan, but just love this (and this style of) solo. I'm going to take a wack at it. Thanks, for all you lessons, Adrian!
Adrian you are the only thing on the internet that is not completely destroying my mental health
Its awesome that a British guy has the best country lessons on youtube, cheers Adrian!
British .. wouldnt make no difference if this Guy was from New York City .. He knows his Craft .. He'a Jr Clapton In the making .
I agree these are the best country lessons on the internet right now.
Absolutely agree, this guy is a treasure.
If you guys haven’t, check out a guy named Albert Lee. He is English and he plays the fuck out of a Telecaster.
Not. He is good but can't copy american country. Ain't happening lil buddy -- period.
There are two reasons why Fridays are the best days:
1) Weekend
2) A new video from Adrian.
the other way around for me
almost friday baby
Out of all the online instructors I’ve viewed, you by far the best one out there. 👏👏👏👏👏👏 I thoroughly enjoy and look forward to your lessons
I think you did a great job with Folsom prison blues, I like your style and I agree with leaving some flaws in there makes it sound much cooler, nice job Adrian!
Just something about that telly sound that sets those great country licks on fire 🔥
You Aint a whisling Dixey Darlin .
Thank you - I don't like and I don't play Country style stuff, but this was so enlightening, so nicely broke down into digestible pieces, that I watched through the whole thing.

This country rocks! , and swings.
He can play guitar like a ringing a bell! :)

Perfect lesson as usual. I made my own simplified version I can work on, but incorporated 6th and some of your licks. Learned a lot and great fun to play. Thank you!
You make it look easy cause you play with such confidence which I guess comes from years of practice. Another good lesson.
Damn dude, you are good - I dream to have a "few little flaws" like you do. Great work!
❤I just love this dude I wish I could have personal lessons from him unfortunately I'm in South African great stuff always a pleasure to watch your vidios
Wow, that was some serious playing at the beginning!
that was amazingly good
Very nice 👏👏👏 👍👍
Bloody marvellous! Lovely. Thanks for that!
Not quite a barn burner, but the shed got mighty warm!
Good stuff. Thank you 😊
Dude you killed it !!! Awesome!!!
Beautifully well done !! Adrian !!👍👍(✌)(✌)👑👑😎😎💗💗 Thx !!

The Fender Telecaster...the most versatile guitar ever made! 😎👍🏻
No doubt - I own 15+ guitars (including LP, ES-355, Strat, more) and two of them are Tele's. I find I play the Telecasters about 75% of the time. Wide range of tone, ALWAYS stay in tune, lots of fun!
Yes, likewise got probably 15 or 20 guitars but you can never go wrong with a Tele in just about any style of music.
34 guitars .... of which 7 Teles .... always in tune, no issues, no mods needed
Except for as Fender Strat
@@Bronx68 give me a tele over a strat all day long....but that's me...I respect your preference bro
I would like to be taught the entire play it’s awesome
Now that’s country! 👍👍👀

Mr. Adrian you never cease to IMPRESS! Good Show👏👏
That bending around 10 minute mark+, is country guitar personified. Just when I'm so busy with soerenguitarlessons' latest lesson...
I don't even have dreams where I'm playing like that. Damn!
Your metronome isn't set right. That cat is giving you the wrong tempo.
Cat is making the wanker sign at him. Both of them. It’s practically bullying.
Flaws? What flaws? I don’t hear no stinking flaws.
Loving this. If I have a bad day at work I’m going to put this on when I get home and get the guitar out. Superb!
Adrian the smoke is just blowing off that fret board, totally excellent country riffin and a stonkin video to boot.

Awesome as usual
Always love your country music
Looking forward to the Patreon breakdown of the lead
Thanks Adrian
I LOVE this Adrian. Thank you so much for all your lessons. They are just perfect. 🙏
Adrian I can't describe how good your videos are together with Justinguitar you are the crown jewels of RUclips
Brilliant lesson Adrian thanks very much. Great playing
Always watching your lessons! Top!
Great! In my opinion to make it more in that style you could add chromaticism and mayor/minor mix
absolutely - chromatics are always cool in this style. Did quite a lot of mixing major and minor in my solo too.
You'd fit in perfectly in Nashville!!!
I always know it's going to be a great lesson when Adrian plays his '52 Reissue
Nashville calling. Are you available for some session work?
The only thing missing is a six pack of beer!
Awesome!! Thanks for the tutoria!
Damn! You're freaking great! Thank you for your videos! Just finding you!
Thank you for the lessons.they are always helpful. I hope you keep it up.
My goodness, that's awesome playing!!
God ! Great to hear. Brightened up my day !
😀TALKS ONLY

NO TABS
Hey Adrian! Who do I want to listen to if I wanna here this style of playing and soloing? Love your videos!
My favourite's probably James Burton - looked at quite a lot of his stuff on my channel. Also love Roy Nichols, Clarence White. For the flashier stuff maybe Albert Lee, Brent Mason. Jerry Donahue's amazing too.

It is alot of theory but unlike most people teaching guitar you are never boring when you play
Thank you, great lesson.
Sounds fantastic! However, this won't work if I'm playing it at a campfire with an acoustic guitar and I'm the only one with an instrument.
They say, it is never too late to learn, but I don't think, I can ever learn anything like this. You have a gift from the higher powers, man. Thank you.
Hello, sorry but impossible to become a contributor with my new email adress. I give up ! So much time lost in that... I'm sorry.
Adrian, if'n ya keep a pickin' like that, we're just gonna havta treat ya to a messa grits...your choice o' fatback or shrimp ta go with it...
Damn we need a tutorial from the start of the solo to about 15:36 !!
Thank you for this very helpful video. I’m going to break out my ‘52 and have a go. Cheers!
Holy Krikey,,,he said there were some flaws in there!!!.....you really don't want to see me play then lol
Hi Adrian! Love your stuff, and your versatility. Are you a Danny Gatton fan? Sure sounds like it!
Are the 5 CAGED patterns the e minor pentatonic scale?
That's the only way I know how to play a lead
In the early 90 I bought the 52 RI Tele man I regret loosing it I don't rember what I did I think it was up I get a better guitar I'll be a better player ..
Excellent lesson, thank you.
Great content on your channel. Sounds fantastic! Very helpful. No ego
Where's your hat? :)
Excellent stuff - many thanks!
Adrian what type of country guitar, amp, and pedal set ups do you use the most for country sound guitar and settings of the amps.
Great video brah and please keep them coming. Hot any boogie woogie?
"Note enough flaws in modern music..." hold my beer...
To compensate for this, I play ALL FLAWS...
@@DougZbikowski ... I think that's going to be the name of my band...
Hi! I can't find the backing track for this song in your website.
Phenomenally good playing and instruction -- thank you!
Cheers!
Now thats some fine guitar playing and tonality was awesome

Adrian, you are giving James Burton a run for his money there.
You are great. Im drinking beer and bourbon all alone in the night and listening to you. I love your videos of how to play the guitar
Damn it Boy . You make that tele sing better than Mel Sharp on that tune .
> Not enough flaws in modern music
👏
Joined your Patreon page just for this video....can't wait for the tabs.....thanks, Ian
What are the pickups on your 52 re-issue, please?
you should be in a band if you're not already. or studio musician
What pickups do you have in your Tele?
Thanks for this great lesson. I love the major pentatonic scale but I always add the flatted 3rd and then rename it my "Country Pentatonic" scale, even though it's no longer really pentatonic lol. brilliant, you really need to be in a live n kickin country rock band.
Wow! The boy can play..makes it look so easy..

THAT WAS AWESOME.THANK YOU FOR A REALLY GREAT LESSON
Love your lessons adrian. Keep em coming. Quickly becoming one of my preferred youtube teachers, even more than paul davids😬
The licks go so fast. Some tabs would be great. THANKS. Fran
