I'm at 09:10 and this whole thing seems like a bad idea. Somethings don't need to be explained, and other things should never be explained. The fact is that Marvel has especially established itself as a Judeo-Christian world (at least on Earth 616) look at the X-Men's battle with Dracula back in the 80s. It's also been pretty much understood that Olympians, Asgardians, and other panthions are powerful extradimentional brings that were mistaken for gods, but actually weren't. So as entertaining as all this might be, it actually ruins established continuity and in 20 years won't matter, assuming Marvel is even around with the way people are walking away from them and their identity politics.

Obviously, it is an icey event to end every version of the multiverse. It goes back to an X Men Iceman his stories were basically part of the Obviouslians continuing plaguing Iceman. It was something of a mystery. Why? But maybe this is about to be particularly important as it is possible his return is connected to the origins of the mutant race. However, if true, this is just the tip of the multiverse iceberg? Ice and fire, Phoenix and Ice Giant, like the known elements, are particularly important to? Elemental Forses and the original generation of the multiverses gods are to rip things apart from the Marvel universe, the very forses that created it, and there is no one to stop it, at least in the known marvel universe, but presumably perhaps the new universe there's one brand that could Starbrand.
I have a few questions, because I'm from Portugal and we don't have a cultural costume of reading comics as much as you people. 1: Why isn't TOAA the most powerful, since the character is the reflection of our Christian God. The One true King. And also, why does Marvel need a version of Constantine if they have Strange. Would Strange be the counterpart to that helmet egipcian look sorcerer from DC?
Yeah dr fate and dr strange are equivalent. The two company like copy each other. You can almost say marvel or DC is the elseworld universe to the other. No one really knows who stronger. One above all =presence>oblivious=night mother
The The One Above All is no reflection of the Christian God. Jahwe/Kyrios/Allah exist as one of the Allfathers in Marvel Comics and is only planetary. The One Above All is behind this planetary Allfathers and much more an Multiversell Being. It is only that when the stories a written most of the Time it is given us the Christian perspective so that we as readers could see how important it is from our point of view. Marvel even says this in his own Comic Books that Everytime you see The One Above All it is an Interpretation from the point of view of the characters. Oblivion is the Void and UnExisting. It is outside of the Multiverse and even outside the First Firmamet so it is an beginning that did see the Creation of the Multiverse already 8 times. So even The One Above All is only an mere child to it. Marvel has no John Constantine like character and the tried all the Time to creat one so yeah, finaly the did make one that feels like there Version of it.
He is actually the most powerful as he is beyond the concept of tiering. Oblivion is just one of the super powerful entities of Marvel much like the Beyonders.
TOAA is considered the creator god of the marvel multiverse and is omnipotent inside of it alone... Oblivion is outside of that and represents nothingness so will exist after TOAA as well as the Marvel multiverse has perished. These entities exist somewhere in(or out of depending on perspective and story) the Omniverse which is where all the Multiverses including Marvel and DC live...Oblivion is a being from a place outside of Marvel. TOAA created only the Marvel Multiverse not the Omniverse (that we know of at least) hence him appearing as a writer to the Fantastic Four. Hope that helps

You know it’s gonna be a fire comic when you can hear the excitement and Rob’s voice
Oh my gosh, Oblivion is finally here; Oh man they're all in trouble.
Not really, all they need to do is talk to Iceman.

I don't know much about Oblivion. Just of them. But the page with Hy-Brasil and El Dorado. Turning away. Sounds like an oblivion event. The wiping out of something to point that existence of the place becomes legend if it ever existed.
the devil knows his time is short... dont let these distractions drain your oil lamp
Notice the notes with the knull spirals on emelias wall. Nice little detail.
According to Marvel writer J.M. DeMatteis, the "god" 'One Above All'/"the creator" is said to contain everything, even oblivion.
WHAT A WAY TO BRING HIM BAAACK!
Oblivion and Aisen sound awfully similar in ideology when describing how the lesser gods were created
Well what the heck do I do with this knowledge?! It’s like the heat death of the universe. Thanks Rob, now I have to accept that the heat death of the universe is inevitable.
1:59 I'm sorry; I was digging though old cartoon VHS tapes I had and I stopped here to note:......Herbie the Robot? Wasn't expecting that cameo.
At first I thought it was Sleepwalker, but then I saw the cloak with that pattern in it and I knew it was Oblivion.
Damn I'm big into this now that Oblivion is here.
I was a fan of him, since 2012, but a lot of people showed a lot hatred towards him, because of the bad writing. Again, Johnathan Hickman revived him.
Anyone who kept up with the previews and character designs knew it was oblivion...You'd have to be oblivious not to know lol!
"Most powerful being" I feel like that gets said a lot.
In Marvel it's been said literally like about 50 times.
(30 + years of reading Marvel)
@@ZamWeazlenah. He’s not the most powerful. Until he shows the ability to do what prb did. And there will never be another person more powerful the toaa again. Oblivion has a counterpart in the marvel universe just like all most the other abstracts. Dude be stays overhyping and under-understanding what he’s reading. And he ALWAYS for some reason tries to shit on Thor and Odin. If anything oblivion being as powerful as he is should tell you just how powerful the one above all REALLY is and how power preretconned beyonder was as anything and all things were basically nothing to him. He to existed before marvel and is vastly more powerful than powerful than ALL of its cosmic entities combined ALLLLLL including oblivion ego has been a cosmic entity in marvel since day one.
@@Erick-ue6fhYet, you can't destroy nothingness. You never talk about battles, when you include Oblivion, because its a default win for the nothingness guy.
@@HMJR5 Nothingness is a concept created by humans. as long as something exists nothingness isn't really a thing, Oblivion existing is therefore in direct opposition of Nothingness.

3:53 let’s hope they never have to say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious as we could be hear for quite some time and we would need a large meeting hall.
Although I could never prove it, I have always felt that Dr Strange is the Stranger like Galan is Galactus.
The pointed face cloak and color scheme was a dead giveaway... but the build up was amazing. Lmao
Im so happy they are bringing back Oblivion into the story. Hes highkey the strongest being in Marvel. Like astronomically overpowered
Doubtful.
truee. He's also my favorite
3:10 “You’ll likely see them in Kang Dynasty”
Yeah, about that
INCURRSIONS ARE IMPOSSIBLE! too many universes where Earth never existed or was destroyed by something. Can’t collide if it isn’t there.
You & your fam have a Merry Christmas sir. Thanks for the good stuff all year round.
Good video brother i try to share them out every time... Keep up the good work. Your comic knowledge is kingly 🎉
Thanks man!
Mr immortal and oblivion probably gonna be chillin together after awhile. 😎
Just off of how apathetically he talked of the nature of Gods immediately had me think Cytorrak but then I realized its the one... the only...
OBLIVION!!!!
It's about time this dude directly got involved in destroying the Multiverse since Scrier and Chaos King couldn't do it themselves lmao
The Snake form had me initially thinking of Set
Then one panel away from the revel I guessed oblivion.
Definitely felt it was an Elder God for a sec too@@ZamWeazle
11:48 He is straight up spitting *BARZ* at this guy and *I LOVE IT!!* TALK THAT SHIT BRO!!! HE *NEEDS* TO HEAR THIS!! 🗣
Johnathan Hickman is the best writer. Period. Such a beast!!!
Hickman knows how to show out, ive watched this vid like 5x now and knew it was oblivion from the thumbnail but still love the reveal
1 of the few titles that has me excited & this ending is setting up some great content love your stuff bro
And yes Dr fate and Dr strange are analogous as is Wynn and Constantine
And that's why, ladies and gentlemen, the reason why i love this youtube channel
You can't get more hyped than this
Stopped video at 0:16 to say when you say Marvels mos powerful god….the only being that comes to mind or has always been in the back of my mind since first reading about him is The Protege… just had to put that out there before the video
So I’m confused, is Rob saying that Oblivion is more powerful than TOAA?
I didn’t think that was possible. Or is this part of the new hierarchy?
Oblivion has always been more powerful. It's just that people were not well informed, at least in my eyes.
@@Jspore-ip5rk what stories is this covered in though? I ask cause I’m genuinely curious.
Oblivion to my memory, was only ever universal and not multi or outer?
At least that I can remember.
TOAA was always written as the final (except for one non cannon Thanos story that eluded there could be more past him)
@@Andrew_ShermanHere's the thing;I do not have access to the comics but I can offer an explanation: Oblivion is nothingness personified, where everything and I mean everything originated from(Including the other gods)and eventually return to. He is the beginning and end of everything and everyone. He is so powerful no one can see his true form and survive apparently because he is oblivion personified.
He’s not more powerful it’s just delusional fans wacking him, when he literally caps at the outside shown in defenders beyond 😭
isn’t Marvel tired of having all these god-like beings ?
Oblivion isn't new
@@ghdddbdhdjhdd8937 okay. my point still stands lmao

Honestly, this is the first time I’ve heard about this guy and the other ‘true’ gods in Marvel… and i got bored of them halfway through the video. “Ohh nihilism! How edgy.”
Honestly, I’m sure someone gives a crap about pretending these two dozen “most powerful for real this time guys!” Characters are interesting. Good for them.
Call me when they have a punchup in the street and do something actually cool. Swirling shapes in space isn’t it.
the sweet release of Oblivion.
for when you die, there is truely nothing else, but Oblivion
Very disappointed that it isn't the return of the Marquis of Death.
Oblivion return is leagues better
I like the fact they are using a classical character from classic literature for something like this.
How many most powerful beings are there? After hearing that 2 to 3 times it loses all meaning. These so called omnipotent beings always losing to mortals or being tricked or trapped. It tends to be more ridiculous than amazing as much as I love overwhelming power.
Yeah, i hated the whole DC storyline with the whole gods of the multiverse and our earth heroes winning the day.
I think there should be some beings just beyond our understanding and power to stop.
In Thor's classic storyline, "Ragnarok & Roll", where the Celestials return to Earth and defeat a fully powered Destroyer armor with just a thought was exactly the way to handle them
I've been reading Marvel comics for about 30 + years.

“For I am the End. I Am *Oblivion* ” give me goosebumps
Realized who it was about 2/3 of the way through when the hood he was wearing got pointy.
Glad Oblivion is back, here's hoping they don't make him some joke of a villian.
The give away for me was that blue eye
Love this run so far! Love these reviews!
NOPE - I'm sooo over the "Marvel Universe's most powerful being ... of the week". As the "ultimate adversary" it has become so much of a trope, it has no power (pun intended) left to excite me even just a tiny bit!🙄😴
yoo, great stuff...Black Swans in the Incursion/Time Runs Out/Battleworld story lines weren't created by Doom
I'm guessing: Amatsu-Mikaboshi, the Chaos King, is the one you're saying is going to return. Could be wrong. Probably wrong. But I want it to be true.
(Having now seen the images, I was very close. Wrong name/manifestation. Right god.)
when everything dies, oblivion is born / starts ...
Wow this comic was so powerful. I truly believe, what ever you think 🤔 💭 you can create. It starts with a thought and that thought because energy. Which is spirit and you can manifest energy-spirit in to physical form.
Well, that’s obviously wrong.
TOAA will outlast everything
Everything is simply the absence of nothing. Before and after anything there is and isn't nothing.
2:11 is that not the robot the F4 had for a while years back?
Just making sure my memory is still working
All powerful God has lost its significance in marvel
The Cassandra complex is a psychological phenomenon in which an individual's accurate prediction of a crisis is ignored or dismissed,
How, if at all, does Oblivions presence tie in with Orchis and their plans for mutants and humanity? It seems like the two events could cross over and create one almighty catastrophe. 😮
"I AM OBLIVION AND MH TIME IS NOW" damn i got goosebumps
Oblivion is a being inside the Marvel MULTIVERSE...The One From Beyond is the only being outside the OMNIVERSE which includes the DC Multiverse and his universe where he is the embodiment of everything dwarfs the 616 universe like Earth dwarfs a drop of water..he is TRILLIONS of times more powerful than Oblivion he laughs at him like Crom laughs at the Four Winds..
