I think it does matter that Gaia is Thor's mother. It kinda explains why he's always been attracted to Earth. He feels connected to it. So, I have to disagree with you.
I think it doesn’t matter because everyone is the child, grandchild ect. Of gaia all of the Gods after her are direct offspring from Norse to Greek to Egypt Gods. To humans or whatever other beings are her offspring. Her and Uranus gave life to everything so bring her child is insignificant. Humans are all her great grandchildren. The only thing that lived before her is chaos which is just everything
@@xavierholden3443 If we think that way, then nothing matters. It doesn't matter if Peter Parker and MJ are not together anymore, for instance. They're all Gaia's children anyway.
I love the old “Jack Kirby, as the one above all.” Also Meeting Peter and talking to him.
Retconning Thor to be the son on The Phoenix was total BS. Being the son Of Gaia has EVERYTHING to do with Thor’s everyday doings. It ties him to the Earth and its people and the lore is EPIC. Ecstatic that Marvel has decided to return and revisit this storyline.
Rob never stops being a liberal stooge. And Im not even a conservative.
@@IStevenSeagalwhat does politics have to do with this??
@@Peecamarke Watch his channel enough and you'll know. Every ytber got an opinion nowadays, everyone is taking sides. And most of them claim they dont, but they do.
@@IStevenSeagal Why bring up sides to begin with? Comic books dabble in politics left and right (no pun intended), but this isn't really one of those times...Lighten up a bit.

Most powerful god until next week. Not to be confused with the monthly relaunch of whatever title #1.
They have so many

Lets direct that comment to dc rebooting itself every week @johnlopez9014
Marvel: here’s the most powerful god
Marvel: but this mf right here’s even more powerful!
Marvel: y’all don’t know about this god tho
All you have to do is create your own little Comics and see how far they go. someone might want to narrate them. But at the end of the day you're doing nothing but listening to somebody so listen.
Comics Explained again after 1 month. “Marvel’s most powerful God” 😂
😂 and the month after.
😂😂😂😂
lol oh blame Marvel.

Not gonna lie but Atum/Demogorge seems like the first Sentry/Void. At least in my opinion. It’s about time marvel started doing more with their old gods 😌
Marvel didnt invent that, but their level of knowledge on all thing mythology is astonishing. I still say comics are the epitome of mythology, the stories are so much deeper than surface level!
I would actually love to if they retconned Sentrys origin to have been originated(atleast his powers) from Atum or an aspect of him unknowingly extracted from the scientists who created the Sentry formula.
(I think it may have already been hinted at that he created the formula using a mixture of super soldier serum and high/concentrated exposure to radiation from the sun.) A.k.a.... an aspect of Atum.
@@mr.bandicoot2139 Hell, the aspect of the Sentry and the Void could probably be tied back over to Lifebringer One and the Anti-All along with Atum/Demogorge.
Atum is miles above Void
Al Ewing, the writer of this story hinted in his defenders series Sentry and the Void are aspects or just the Lifebringer-one(the first Sentry) and Anti-all(the primordial void). It may be that Atum and Demigorge are aspects of Lifebringer-one and Anti-all.

There was an stupid story about thanos who managed to absorb it. He isn't thst strong and he fears the crown
Writers and Comic Book Characters like Superboy-Prime that can leave the white pages of the comics. The one above all can not leave the comic and neither can the Presence in DC. This was explained in Lucifer.
SBP and others with writers abilities are above these comic gods.
Marvel’s most powerful god so far*
A new one will probably pop up in a week (after beating Galactus to show how strong he is).
Galactus is kind of the Yardstick, 😂
He actually meant God not Abstract but God atum is the sky father of Egypt
@oluwadamilola6233 I mean, we had Galactus as "God", then we had the Beyonder, then the living Tribunal, and then it kept going on and on and on, so I would wait before talking about Marvel gods beings straight up unbeatable omni-present God because everytime there is one, another shows up and is "more powerful"
@@loselot6044 I forgot how many Gods are in Marvel because of this lol

Thor visits Gaea, Gaea states humans suck because we're haughty, destroying the Earth, and think the Earth was made for us (which isn't too much different than us being made for the Earth, but whatever, comics), Captain Planet appears, Ted Turner appears, a bunch of hippies chain themselves to a tree, the Italian Native American from the commercials in the 70s appears, Greenpeace appears, Mr.Beast and Team Trees appears-
Rob: This is when you realize the whole story is actually an environmentalist story.
That's one of most amazing comments I have ever read 😂
Well Spoken.
When you consider that humans are animals, creatures created by nature, and thus are an extension of nature's laws, then you realize that human activity is part of nature's "plan" all along. Yes we either realize we fooled around and found out some stuff is bad for us and it was best to stop. But even if we went full tilt balls to the wall and destroyed the current ecosystem, it is as part of that same ecosystem, as a force of nature, what nature made us. This sort of preaching in media is so freaking tiresome and obviates the human animal fact. Nihilistic BS.
And the answer to Gaia is "If you wanted us to be less ravenous then stop making beings that would literaly do this given the chance and quit it with the moral bs when you have none. Humans know this and the smart ones are trying to make sustainable systems."
Baby, wake up, new Comics Explained just dropped.
Thanks, Jeff. Wouldn't wanna miss it for the world

I'm pretty sure that the Thor "relaunch" is running in parity with Immortal as a "Roxxon produced" story. Also Gaea being Thor's mom has always mattered lol
most powerful until marvel is like “that was only a manifestation of the pinky finger of the weakests of 4 brother beings actually and now we need these mcguffins to survive”
You m0fo$ do nothing but cry and complain
Yep
Pretty much, marvel has a pantheon remade all the time while DC has a hero can do that all the time... It is annoying at some point.
8:19 Atum "Thou shall tasteith the power of the sun!"
Didn't see you mention Roxxon is basically just a dig at Exxon, least subtle callout ever in a comic but I'm here for it ;)
I came here to say all of this lol. Great minds
Roxxon has been around since the 1970’s.
@@omarscarborough4274Yeah since 1974, with Exxon getting its name in 72, so it makes it even funnier they did that just two years later.
It is since all the mess they got into in the 70s
I was expecting The One Above All
But Atum is also a pretty scary God.
This is a great story so far I’m really excited for the new issue!
Awesome video man 😎
The Thor Corp also gave Utgard Thor a Conscious
Right so ultimately he'll probably have a change or heart.
This will always be my favorite comic book channel
That was very well put. I grew up in a very multicultural area myself(Vallejo CA) and Couldn't have said it better myself.
this looks so damn SICK!!!! love the art
The deity situation in Marvel changes so fast and so often that it is so hard to keep up with.
Nice, the weekly most powerful video.
Love this story & it’s tie-in’s.
Just ask Tony Stark to build a laser made out of new mysterious energy to one shot him.
Utgard Loki and everyone he mentions are probally "The ones who sit above in shadow"
Thor should've spoken to his his step mother phoenix and asked her to "Step" in 😂😂😂😂😂😂
0:43, the craziest “hear me out”
Ngl, I kinda mess with this look
Amazing
It's obvious he's going to recruit the Minotaur, who would also be destroyed by the Utgart forces.
Man, I gotta read the Thor comics through the Epic Collections.. including J. Michael Strazynski's run on Thor.
0:42 Odin: *"would smash"*
I thought the All Father power was a power multiplied by the powers of past All Fathers and Thor's Family Line. Is that not the case? Also is there no way that Thor couldn't access the Ruin King status?
The life energy of Odin’s two brothers added to his plus wisdom from well of mimir, and hanging himself on the World Tree.
@@omarscarborough4274 I thought the Odin Force was the life energy of their entire family line. Oh... So its just the three of them.
These reviews are the only ones I watch anymore. Everything is relatable… and the energy…. Son, son, son….
I always thought Marvel could have just squared the circle around Gaea and the Phoenix, and made them the same person for the sake of Thor's origin. Both are canonically avatars of Life, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say Gaea has an innate connection to the Phoenix, fueling her own powers. And the Host of the Phoenix force who was depicted as Thor's mother happened to be a projection of Gaea she created from her exile to enter Midgard, who through that connection was predisposed to channel that power.
It's about as plausible as anything else around that whole topic and solves that problem by keeping both versions as true.
why would gaea need the phoenix force? it has nothing to offer her. and they're not the same concept, gaea is the embodiment of life while the phoenix embodies death and rebirth. and pls thor simply does not have any connections with that burnt pigeon keep it very far away from him.
@@Tecnofanb0y That's not at all what I'm suggesting. I'm saying to give them a thematic connection, similar to how Hel acts as an aspect of Mistress Death in her function as the keeper of an afterlife.
The Immortal Thor run have been awesome so far🔥🔥🔥
Hey Rob… cover Godslap please! It looks interesting and wanna know if it’s worth buys
It was set. In the 'atlantis attacks' series in the late 80's, they had back up stories that went over the creation of the earth, celestial, eternals, etc. Set and chthon were originally divine God beings who devolved into Major demons after they started eating their fellow elders and absorbing their powers. Set was the first murderer. Eventually Gaia banged Demiurge and birthed Atum, a sun god, who took on all the fallen elder gods, absorbing them and turning into the Demogorge. A being so powerful that Set and Cthon sh!t their pants and fled the 616 dimension. Demogorge managed to revert to Autum by 'purging' the evils and demonic energy he absorbed but this may have resulted in the creation of Mephisto and other major demonic beings. It would explain why mephisto focuses so much time on earth.
Happy Monday!
Yet another number 1😊
Happy Monday everyone have a blessed week ahead much love from South Africa 💯
This is crazy. I just read those old stories last week for no reason in particular.
Thanks for answering me 😊😊 thor is a dope comic love it 😊😊
Great story
Oh, Robs talking about Thors parentage...
I'll wager any amount of money he's going to mention Phoenix was hinted to be his mother and how he prefers that route
So basically, when he's in that golden form, he looks like Amazo from Justice League/Unlimited but muscled up
Isn't this the same basic idea of when the mutants fought the Eternals and then the Celestial decided Earth wasn't worth saving... that was not that long ago.
at 6:30, which old comic is that page from? 🤔 thanks!
Most of what Gaea said was true from the early Dr Strange and the old suspense books but that was Thor's attachment to Earth, Rob's right this time, he's the strongest
0:30 man i love Thor comics.
Please make a video explaining Utgard thor vs Thor
Awesome ty
Rob makes a jaded salt pillar.. And it's amazing.
Hmm. I could swear that Thor DID meet Atum one time and fought him back in Atlantic Attacks. Also according to the Marvel Wiki Atum goes by the name Amon Ra these days (Yeah, Ra leader of the Egyptian deities). So Marvel must be playing games with stuff (big surprise). sm
Amun _ra is not Atum, and has never been
@@Tecnofanb0yyes, Atum is Amon_Ra. Son of Nun (Demiurge) and father of Bast and Sekhmet
@@droskie5 LMFAO, that's an entirely different being altogether. but you're free to believe what you want.
@@Tecnofanb0y are you arguing with marvel? Coz it has been like that since he was introduced. Atum, current alias amon_ra, represented by the sun. Go and tell them to change it, if you don't like it
1 million bc Phoenix retconned to be thor's life savior as a baby. Essentially "giving him life", gaia's still the biological.
so stupid from Jason Aaron. how can a son of the very aspect of life herself require a burnt pigeon to save her child.
I thought the Void was the strongest? I thought Enigma was stronger than the One Above All, because The One Above All was the weakest in the line of “Above All Gods” entities?
No, Enigma is nowhere near TOAA, TOAA is the writer and readers, literally stated by Al Ewing, who created the Enigma. People just misinterpreted what TOAA was saying, he finds his creation interesting, he calls his Creations motives and thoughts mysteries.
@@noahgelfarb3867 So Deadpool is stronger, cause he killed the writers?
I thought enigma was the Crown, in that story where Loki and Ultimates visit the The One Above All?
@@primordialious6945 Deadpool killed writer stand-ins nothing impressive,. Enigma is the crown, but if you notice he is a threat to Eternity, not TOAA.
Blue Marvel claimed that The One Above All is just the highest being that people like him can reach, and logically there should be beings higher still (though I'm not sure what the logic behind that statement was, since it doesn't make any sense to me), possibly without end. On a meta level, there are beings more powerful than the avatar of the writers (if that's what The One Above All is), such as the writers themselves, or other people in our world who can influence the writers, and any real-world god/gods that exist, and someone in a fictional reality is certainly not going to know how far that goes. Ignoring the meta angle, though, there is absolutely no reason to believe that Blue Marvel is correct, and even if he is, Enigma is not more powerful than The One Above All (at least not yet; in theory, he could maybe reach that point if he's not stopped, which he will be).
This was sweet 🎂
New monthly *Marvel Most Powerful Being* just dropped
You should cover Black Radiant and Nemisis! They’re both indie comics but amazing!! I think you’d like them
Gaea having a real Ra's Al Ghul motive in this comic. This doesn't really seem like her.
Wish we could get animated stories like this
I first read about Atum/Demegorge was way back in Atlantis Attacks in 1989.
Always a pleasure to Dario Agger whenever he pops up
History of marvel is Robs best videos
Nothing wrong with Rob's titles. True fan I love listening to him so it doesn't bother me .. assuming your right haha.....
Swampy Gaia is kind of a baddie.😳
You've used this title on like 4 previous videos man.
odin smashed that swamp thang
Odin: Mmm, is that Chanel no.5?
Gaea: I think it's the corpse rotting and stuck in my craw, now let's get dirty.
This felt like a Soulsborne story lol
cool!
Marvels most powerful God....for now
I love all of the cosmic scaled marvel vids !!!!
There's a video like this every month haha. Way too many powerhouses.
Every week, a new most powerful. REALLY.
I always love when cosmic beings get sick of humans and their antics 😂
the title made me thought of One Above All
Hey rob god bless you
Gaea not being important??? Rob says the silliest things sometimes.🤣
She is an integral part of Thor’s story.
I love how Marvel goes back to it's old lore and further improving it!
Please redo the Marvel top 20 most powerful characters hierarchy, and finally do the DC hierarchy!!
Thor now works for The WEF and will appear with an orange 'just stop oil ' t shirt.
Listening to rob explain Marvel's Cosmic / Divine hierarchy >>>>>>>>
So judgement day but less convoluted
Gaia was like: "Atum will f*** you up"
You can tell that Roxxon is ghetto(gully, hood, grimey, grungy)it's the name... ROCKS ON!😂
Jack “The King” Kirby
In actual Norse myth, Tiwaz was another name for Tyr, God of justice and law. Idk if Marvel changed that around, but I've never heard Buri referred to as Tiwaz. Just being pedantic.
u haven't read enough thor comics pal that's why. he has been called that name many many times.
@Tecnofanb0y I readily admit that I haven't read enough Thor. Which seems strange given my fascination with Norse myth. I appreciate the knowledge tho, thank you.
I like Thor realized this was getting outside his pay grade, his mom won't have it, big bro is out there and all out god still might happen. Where is Thor to do beat up Dario, if I am not mistaken was the fall guy for Hulk to resolve some issue Roxxon was at fault for with an original Hulk type character by splitting Dario's head open.
So what you're saying is...
0:44 Swamp Gyatt

It would be interesting if Marvel ever had a story with the Elder gods of Earth battling the Elder gods outside of Earth like the Octessence.
Odin really looked a gaia and said "would"
given the aspects thing from what we saw with loki, and since you noted he summoned her, i feel is possible that this is just an avatar of her's a physical form she manifests as to interact
Yeah, Gaia has avatars.
Godkiller, have you come to kill me?
Itz probably Nature Girl back on her "nature walk" again, wearing a Gaia suit! 😎
What makes me more upset is the gaia in that story was ageist this exact thing.
And yet, Cosmic King Thor shit on a fully-fed Galactus (a cosmic entity). Not to mention, Rune King Thor becoming a cosmic entity. Perhaps in this comic run, Atum is all-powerful, but not in the scope of comics, especially Thor.
I feel like the more powerful things get and how much power is spread around, the less impressive it is to witness.
True. There's less and less frame of reference for it anymore
Nice.
