- So after so many requests, we're finally covering Defenders Beyond which has one of the most overpowered teams in Marvel Comics including none other than Loki, God of Stories! When Doctor Strange sends a dire warning from beyond the grave, Blue Marvel, America Chavez, Taaia (Galactus' mom!), Tigra, and Loki assemble to defend reality itself!
▸ The Defenders are a set of superhero groups with rotating membership appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Its original incarnation was led by Doctor Strange and included Hulk, Namor, and-eventually-Silver Surfer. They are usually presented as a "non-team" of individualistic "outsiders" who, in their prior adventures, are known for following their own agendas. The team often battles mystic and supernatural threats.

I've been catching that same vibe since I saw the first episode of this run and heard the term God of stories. I feel like that the direction he wants to gi in future with mcu is like a more canon ragnarok and age of Ultron and I definitely believe thanos is gonna return with a black infinity stone

i ended up enjoying this FAR MORE than i thought i would at first.
Yes it would have been cool with some actual conflicts and an actual enemy. But the story itself more than makes up for that by how much they tease whats coming next. Im hype for part 3 of this so please make it when it comes out!

I believe what the beyonder was saying, was within the context of being within a script, and then being placed within the white hot room, and then being forced to go against the Phoenix force pure, that basically the game is rigged against him. I believe to a certain degree, that is how I interpreted it anyhow.
I don't think Just the raw phoenix force vs the beyonder in normal context in the main marvel universe that the Phoenix stands a chance. But given the beyonders now see they are at the whim of the narrator loki, that the game is stacked against them
Now I'm not the best at reading comprehension. I read a book and go brain dead and forget every word. So if I did miss something and I am way off, please don't be too harsh on me

Before that Thor was able to slow it down, so we're a few others who were with him taking turns to try and stop it. The beyonder can snap his fingers and make the Phoenix disappear. That is the extent of his power. The Phoenix is like an unlimited source of energy. What could it do to the beyonder?? It couldn't even scratch him in a normal continuity marvel universe setting. Or you could say how many times has the Phoenix been beat? A couple? I consider iron man beating it. How many times has the beyonder? None. 0. Not in a fight. Hell he hasn't even shown he can be touched, let alone beat

I have a theory with pheonix vs. beyonder. Al Ewings verbiage is intentful. The beyonder stated "in the white hot room," so by extrapolation in the beyond, beyonder wins in the white hot pheonix wins. How they get there is the narrative
The Beyonder would only defeat simple avatars that are not Jean gray, because no matter how much he defeats the phoenixes of the multiverse, they are always reborn, he would have to face the TF Fenix and he would not have chance

The Beyonder and the White Hot Room are the embodiment of TOAA if you can recall #5 issue. The whole cosmic heavens created by Ewing is an allusion to the Kaballah.
If you know some esoteric stuff or allegories, then obviously the PF/WHR wins by default (not including the transcendent true phoenix)

Because, the Phoenix force would be reborn. I think Phoenix force would be on par with other gods especially Chthon, ie the Scarlet Witch.
What are you saying? Phoenix Force is a universal constant that existed before the creation of Marvel. You may need to get accustomed to reading comics. Jean Grey is a very special figure in Marvel Continuity and writers have trouble what stories would fit her since they don't want her beyond the Event Horizon, they just love conflating judeo-christian imagery with her and the Phoenix Force.
Post claremont writing has sucked and everyone can be Phoenix now and everything is an anti-thesis to it but that trend is hopefully going to change.
If you get to familiarize with the White Phoenix of the Crown, which is an ascended state, you'll be surprised that she is God herself. Read more, it helps 👍

The crown reminded me of Nemesis. Nemesis was the seventh infinity gem and the intelligence that unified them the way they were intended to be. Originally written for an Avengers and Ultraforce crossover in 1995 I think. In that mini series she wanted to erase real;ity and create a new one. So that would line up with thius story, enemy of eternity. If written properly it would fit in perfectly. But I'm usually wrong about these things, so I'll just wait and see (and hope).
The Kabbalah term "Kether", which was introduced in this story as a different name for the House of Ideas, means "Crown" in Hebrew. I'm assuming it has to do with what Kether symbolizes within Kabbalah mysticism / Tree of life-which includes things such as "the will of the creator", "superconscious realm of experience", etc etc.
Not sure if this is a non-popular opinion or not but blue marvels old Superman inspired costume looks way better than his current costume for me my opinion of course
Here's a weird one for you I have heard they were looking at shamier Anderson to play Blue marvel in the live action film. Here's the funny part. He stared in a movie in 2021 called Stowaway. The name of the vessel he was in was called..... The Hyperion
But I don't understand why loki didn't escape like the beyonder even the beyonder tell him you have a chance to be what you like god of storie and more for a character smart like loki I find it confusion even the beyonder choose to leave the realm and become more why stack in the narative and escape like the beyonder. Ok so for the Phoenix v beyonder question. It's circumstantial. The biggest factor is setting. Purely by feat and status most occasions it goes to beyonder. However as beyonder states himself if in say, the white hot room, he'd probably lose, vs being in the beyond realm he'd probably win. It's essentially "home field advantage. The other would be fighting their opponent inside their opponent and thusly lowered in power by nature of that realm and that doesn't always define a winner with lesser realms like mephisto, mammu, or shuma but the beyonder realm and the white hotel room are realms beyond the marvel multiverse in itself. The reason given for beyonder losing so much of his power was quite literally entering the marvel multivers and thusly being confined by it, here he is confined by lokis meta narrative abilities and in on course for an arc by his choice of chasing them.
