I just found your channel and I am in the process of watching ALL your videos! I noticed you chose warm water to wash your cleaning cloths. Our water heater is very hot...about 140 degrees. I would love to see you do a video on the difference between washing in very hot water with tide pods or powder, and washing on the washer warm setting. You're doing a great service to us all! Thank you. ❤
For simplicity, I just choose the Towel setting on my machine, that way when I run the next test it is easy for me to remember. I can add different water temperature testing to my viewer suggestion list! Thank you!
I agree! I would love to see the diff. in products (and even without any products as the control) used with hot, warm & cold temps as I really feel the hot would kill off more bacteria (tho economics wise it would be cheaper to do it in cold as many laundry soap companies suggest) it is just not good enough to kill lurking bacteria in cold. I read once that you should soak a kitchen sponge in boiling water for a few min. to kill off bacteria so am thinking the hotter the better with laundry.
Yes, I also believed that the hotter, the better killing germs and bacterias. Seldom do I ever wash in cold. Dishwasher always use HOT water to sanitizes setting.
This is very interesting I know we are making tons of requests lol, but following this microwave topic, could you test if microwave can disinfect dry fabric, in theory bacteria has water and microwaving dry fabric/cloths/clothes would burn em all, even the difficult ones interspersed in to the fibers
@@LukkeFS you need food in the microwave that contains water molecules for it to heat and or cook the food. It needs a minimum of 30 minutes of direct sunlight exposure to sanitize/disinfect the clothes. Best idea is to just leave out in the sun until fully dry.
I just watched your video again. I thought you had used one scoop but you used TWO SCOOPS to sanitize. That's roughly four loads in a container to sanitize four loads of laundry. It's not locally available, I need to drive 1/2 hour to the next town over to find this at Lowe's. I guess this won't work for me for the cost involved. I am very thankful and appreciative of your videos. I like how you do things and I love your voice. Thank you for doing these videos.
We all have to make choices due to life circumstances. For me, I live rurally so I drive 30 minutes for almost everything, so for me 30 minutes is not a long drive. Perhaps someday it will be more local for you or you could purchase online. Thank you for your kind words and I appreciate your support!
So I've been using this and wow it's like really expensive using 2 full scoops! Thought I'd also mention that it's not good to use on jeans because of the metal in several places on jeans, or any clothes that have metal like zippers; the oxi degrades the metal. The only other thing I've used to santize/disinfect laundry is Lysol laundry sanitizor but for me, the smell of it really lingers and just smells unhealthy to breath and I don't want it still in our clothes touching our skin so I find I have do do a few extra rinsing or wash again after. I see you like Odoban for this, but in Odoban FAQ they say they don't disinfect only deodorize, and say nothing about if it sanitizes or not. Would be interested to see a test of Force of Nature in the laundry, like the max amount your fabric softener dispensor will take.
I have not used it exclusively (since I test a lot of products) so I appreciate you commenting on the long term use of it. Yes it is true the Odoban does NOT claim to be a laundry sanitizer (I hope I mentioned that in the video.. I think I did).. but I tested it since it was a request. I love your idea about Force of Nature in the rinse cycle.. will add to the viewer suggestion list!
Hi, I recently came across your channel and I really enjoy it, but I have a few suggestions to make your content more accessible and reach a larger audience: 1. Cut shorter the montage of collecting the samples. Keep only the important parts and narrate what you're doing in the video and why you're doing it the way that you do. 2. Make YT shorts 3. Make bigger comparisons: instead of 1 product at a time, pick 3 or 4 products and compare them. Maybe something like DIY cleaner vs home cleaners.
What a fascinating video! I looked up Oxiclean Laundry & Home Sanitizer ( we have different brands in my country) and realised it's not just regular oxygen bleach but has an activator (TAED) in it that really enhances the effectiveness of the oxygen bleach (as we saw!). Like many people, I like to PRE-SOAK my extra dirty/gross microfibre cloths in a bucket of warm water with either vinegar (1 part vinegar 3 parts water) or oxygen bleach (as per pre-soak instructions) for a few hours before chucking them in the washing machine. I would love to see a comparison of which pre-soak method is more effective. In other words: Vinegar vs AOB (activated oxygen bleach) vs regular oxygen bleach ------ And FYI for microfiber cloth users, don't use water that's too hot. No more than 140F/60C or you can damage the cloths (essentially melting the fibres like plastic). Warm or not-too-hot is good because it opens the tiny fibres up so they can let go of what they're holding on to, but not to the point where you damage them. This goes for using a dryer for them too - low heat or no heat only. Oh, and never use fabric softener or bleach!
Great ideas! I will add them to my viewer suggestion list! I am not a big fan of microfiber cloths but will get some to test when I get to this! Thank you for watching and for your thoughtful comment!
Good to know! I never use cleaning clothes in the bathroom, I always use paper towels. The idea of them going into the same place I wash my clothing grosses me out! I’m wondering about Borax. I add it to my laundry quite often. It’s supposed to disinfect, and I know it really helps with odors. Thanks for the video!
Hi there! My laundry tests started because a friend of mine said she didn't separate out cleaning cloths from other laundry and that felt wrong to me!! I always separate cleaning cloths for washing and before making these videos I only used paper towels in my bathroom! I am curious about Borax too, it is on my list of things to test out! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Cool stuff I never gave it much thought, I sweat a lot and noticed my shirts start to stink mid day, I'll definitely try this. I also checked out your video on Clorox maybe I'll do both 😂 Thanks for the tips
Yes give it a try. Watch this video on oxiclean where I clean my husband's hats! They had lots of sweat and dirt on them. Can OXICLEAN Clean these Gross Dirty Baseball Caps?!?? ruclips.net/video/Am2EyMM0IAY/видео.html Thanks for watching!
Thank you for all of your testing - it's very informative and useful! I have often wondered if these products really work. Like you, I think I would limit the use of this and other sanitizing/disinfecting products except in certain circumstances such as immunity issues or for mold and mildew, etc because of costs, and to limit the impact on the environment. Most people have decent immune systems and should be able to handle average amounts of microorganisms and bacteria in their world, and overuse of these products create their own issues. I did use the Lysol Laundry when they first came out with it during Covid as I am a critical care nurse and took care of many Covid patients, so would immediately wash my uniform after getting home to help protect my family. Thank-you again.
You are welcome! There are most certainly instances when you want to really remove all the germs and crud and others where you know as a nurse that environmental bacteria is good and beneficial. I like testing so those who want to know, get to see if a product's claim works in a real home! Thank you for watching and commenting! and Thank you for taking care of covid patients! 😊
I am a nurse as well, and I can think of many instances where you do want to use this (former OR nurse). I absolutely LOVE the info on this channel! Back in the day we used to use bleach all the time to accomplish this same purpose for washing (we have used laundry disinfectants since forever), this is just a color safe way to do the same thing bleach can do. Of course you don't need to add it to every single load! With dirty rags, when folks in the house are sick, after coming back home from doing dirty work (like washing hospital scrubs), it IS super helpful because the washing machine does not kill a surprising number of germs. Then these germs or viruses (say fecal bacteria from diarrhea undies or a toilet cleaning rag), survives, sits in the washer, then gets on the next wash and contaminates that. It isn't like most of the products we use are environmentally friendly anyways to do wash or just about everything. If you aren't going to use these disinfectants you really need super industrial strength heat and dry washers and dryers to actually kill off germs. Just running our hot water from a home water heater and using at home dryer temp wise isn't really going to get the job totally done when I researched this before. My guess is folks aren't using this for every single load, just filthy towels/rags, a dirty, mildewy shower curtain, stuff like that! I really find that in general, the public usually errs on the side of being too filthy and discounting how sick germs can make them versus being over zealous about using products and being too clean.
Wow, I was equally confused with the instructions! I need to figure this out since some brand new expensive towells we just bought say to wash with unicorn tears only no bleach and hang dry in waxing crescent Moonlight only ... of course I am exaggerating but the care instructions are so gentle and I don't want to ruin these towels since they are so fluffy it's like drying yourself in a cloud, but I need to know that they are getting clean as well!
😂🤣I understand wanting to keep those towels fluffy!!!!! So I think the Oxiclean added to their washing instructions would be ok. Maybe try with one towel first??? And sitting in the sun is good too.... Washing & Drying in the SUN to Remove Bacteria? -VIEWER REQUEST- Tested w/Petri dishes! ruclips.net/video/MioFTSuBQHA/видео.html
My husband uses those blue shop papertowels... I have considered doing a papertowel test (I did bacteria with paper towels already).. but rather what paper towels holds the most water etc . We will see!! Thanks for watching!
Interesting! Future video idea: Oxiclean vs pure Sodium Percarbonate vs Washing Soda vs Baking Soda Cleaning power (removing stains, especially caked on), whitening sheets/towels
I'm so into your videos! Definitely going to get some of this oxy clean, I regularly use the odor removing one but it's worth it to have the sanitizer. Also, love the music on your videos, it adds to the "enjoyability"! Thank you!
I'm commenting late but thank you for testing this! I've been using Lysol laundry sanitizer but will probably switch to this one because most of the washers in my apartment's laundry room don't have fabric softener dispensers.
You are not late! I am glad you found this video and it is helpful to you! YES this is a great option if you do not have a fabric softener dispenser! Thank you for commenting!
You can also just buy pure Sodium Percarbonate and add just a tablespoon or so per wash for similar effect. It's also not cheap, but it can be used as a general unscented cleaner indoors and out and as concentrated as it is, it lasts a long time. Works great added to toilet tanks and cleaning mold and mildew on surfaces. For sanitizing laundry, use the pre-soak cycle with warm or hot water (cold won't activate the percarbonate properly).
You make such great videos and I appreciate your attention to detail when it comes to directions. If I may make a recommendation, please consider testing out Tide with Bleach laundry detergent powder or Tide Ultra Oxi powder. Neither product contains bleach like Clorox bleach, it’s just sodium carbonate peroxide and an activator (TAED), so it’s safe for colors. These are both the active ingredients of Oxiclean Laundry Sanitizer. Tide doesn’t claim it sanitizes or disinfects, but I think it’s worth a test because of them sharing the same active ingredients.
You don’t how happy I am to know this does works for my cloths!!!! And disinfecting my laundry! I also use the Lysol laundry sanitizer in the rinse cycle after just to make sure!
I’m curious if you could get similar results with less product. What’s the minimum amount of product to be effective. I feel like these companies want you to use way too much in order to sell you more.
We use Lydol Laundry Sanitizer- maybe that could be tested? I'm interested to know if it does what it claims (I'm an RN so getting my scrubs clean is definitely a concern)!
YES! That is on my list of things to test! I do have a huge list, but it might be the next product I test on laundry.. I am curious about it as well! Thanks for watching!
I just wanted to say that your videos are super interesting and very helpful! I ended up watching so many of them at once! Thank you and stay awesome! Best regards from Serbia! :)
I would love for you to do the same thing just without any cleaning products and see how much a washing machine cleans without any product then compare!
Thank you so much for making this video! This is exactly the information we need!!! I hope more people will see this! I wish there's a way to see the difference between using oxiclean and just normal detergent though! Thanks again for making this video!
Glad you enjoyed the video.. here is the video with just detergent! Is It Enough?? Laundry w/ Tide Pods & Drying Cloths To Remove Bacteria?? I Tested w/ Petri Dishes! ruclips.net/video/gPSyRFN3-Zo/видео.html
Hello! Yes that would be good to know.. My washing machine has an option called "sanitize with oxi".. but I could try it without the oxi sometime. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for this video I’m seriously loving your content! I’ve always wanted to know how effective these products are so you’ve definitely earned yourself a new subscriber! I got this product because I believe I have a mildew/mold problem with an old blanket that spread to my clothes. I notice in the back the instructions states to *PREVENT* mold on surfaces. What does prevent mean in this context? Will it not get rid of it? Will it come back? Does it only mold kill if it’s clothing and soaked? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated! Love, your new fan.
Hello! Thank you for your kind words! I see that part about preventing mold for the hard non-porous surfaces and fabrics, it seems like it uses a strong concentration of oxiclean and there is no rinsing. So my guess is that it is like Microban, where it stays on a surface once dry and that prevents the mold growth. When we use it in the laundry we are rinsing it so I don't think it would have that same impact on laundered fabrics. You could soaking the blanket, letting it fully dry, then after fully dry launder again? Or even dry outside in the sun? I know a lot of people will soak in vinegar also for mold/mildew issues. If you think the mold is spreading to other clothes I would perform whatever wash cycle cleans your washing machine, mine is called "basket clean". Good luck!
Huh! Ok, that was interesting! That stuff is so dang expensive though. Kind of hoping my boiling for 10 minutes does the trick just as well, for less cost. Edit: I'm also curious about the hydrogen peroxide soak another commenter mentioned in a previous video.
@@lilywondertwin Covid is a respiratory virus so spread through the air, specifically by inhaling aerosol particles; this is in the Indoor Air and Coronavirus (COVID-19) section of the EPA website.
Would love to see if there's a differences between cotton clothes vs microfiber clothes. Does one sanitize better than the other? Does one get cleaner in the laundry?
That would be interesting. I like the absorbency of the microfiber cloths, but I also really like the basic “flour sack” cotton cloths from Walmart. They’re cheap, and you can refold them as you clean to get a clean surface.
@@FieldOfFocus That was my question also; my wife buys OxiClean (sensitive?? It's got a pink lid) and I was wondering if it does 99.9% disinfecting as well. Regular laundry (sweaty close) still smells; and adding Oxi cleans up the smell; so I assume it works...
New subscriber here! Is there any way you can test out your hands? Like after washing with plain hand soap and warm water for 20 seconds, and then the next day or a different day do it after using a pump of hand sanitizer gel. You would need an assistant, and sterile or very very clean towels to dry your hands. You could sample palm vs back of hand vs nail bed vs under finger nails for example.
Hello and welcome!!! I haven't tested my hands, I have been focused on products that make claims about surface cleaning but will put it on my viewer suggestion list! I wouldn't use sterile towels to dry because I test products in a real world setting and people don't have sterile towels laying around. Interesting suggestion! Thanks for watching and commenting!!
@Field of Focus good point about the towels. I've enjoyed binging your videos. Testing out something like listerine killing mouth bacteria would be fun to see too!
How about testing toothbrush with UV light and maybe even hydrogen peroxide. I use hydrogen peroxide to brush my tongue and rinse my toothbrush after so I am curious if that works!
Hi there, here is the video where I test regular detergent. Is It Enough?? Washing & Drying Cleaning Cloths To Remove Bacteria?? I Tested w/ Petri Dishes! ruclips.net/video/gPSyRFN3-Zo/видео.html
Could you make a video using cold water with it. I know it says hot to disinfect and warm to sanitize but I don’t like washing my tee shirts in warm or hot water. I put 1 scoop of the oxi clean into the wash with it hoping it does something. I also use the Lysol sanitizer with it in the softener
Does Oxiclean sanitizer contain quats (QACs), like the Lysol laundry sanitizer and Odoban do? I’m trying to decrease or eliminate those in my home. Thank you.
I don't believe so, because the ingredient in the Oxi sanitizer is totally different than regular Oxi, and regular Oxi makes no mention about germ killing, just whitening, brightening, and stain removal instead. I love the Oxi sanitizer. My husband was an ER nurse, and we had to wash his colored scrubs at home (eww) for the past 17yrs! I definitely preferred the Oxi Sani to the Lysol disinfectant for the wash smell/process wise. I still use it now that he works from home for towels and yuck wash items.
For this I just added it to the laundry, so there was no mixing and waiting. I am unsure of how many hours it loses it's effectiveness, that might be interesting to test. Where did you find that info? Interesting thoughts, thanks for watching!
Hello! I will add Dapple to my list (my list does have about 250 suggestions right now FYI). I have never heard of this product so I will google it! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hi there! I will add that to my viewer suggestion list! Let me ask how do you use it to clean the couch? Do you make a spray? or dissolve in water? Thanks!
@@FieldOfFocus Hi, thanks for considering my request. My task at hand is to clean, sanitize and rid the smell of cigarettes/incense from a velvetinish couch and 4 plushy dinning chairs, all without cleaning tags. On the chairs, I am starting with regular oxiclean powder mixed with hot water-to cool in a spray bottle. Spraying and spraying to dry. I have taken the cushions out of the covers and linings. The liners washed in buckets warm water with oxi powder 3 times, hung to dry. That worked. I put the core body of the cushions and covers outside to air. It is supposed to rain for 3 days. I am thinking of spraying them like the chairs and let them be rained on. I will spray the body of the couch, like the chairs. I started by vacuuming everything 3 times. I sprinkled generously with baking soda and vacuumed. Also, I have many open bowls of kitty litter, baking soda and white vinegar sitting under the couch. Any other suggestions would be great.🙏💡
That sounds like a huge task and it also sounds like you are doing a great job!!! I wonder if Odoban would be something to try for that smell of cigarettes and incence... I think what I would do is use a portable upholstery cleaner (like this one Testing How to Disinfect Fabric Surfaces: Bissell Spot Clean Pro & Lysol Spray. Did it work? ruclips.net/video/Gl00UFTVJME/видео.html I wasn't pleased with the baceria removal BUT it gets up TONS of dirt and grime)... ok so I would use the upholstery cleaner even with just hot water at first to pull off as much grime as possible. Then I think I would use Odoban. I think the key will be drying it and doing it again and again until you get it all out. GOOD LUCK!
7:28 I believe the Oxi Clean likely killed all the bacteria, but the few, small colonies may have come from a re-introduction to germs when you picked the cloths up. I would recommend wearing sanitized medical gloves to prevent that from happening. However, it's not that big of a deal considering the results still showed the effectiveness of Oxi Clean, which was what you (we) were looking for. I was surprised with the results. I always believed the Oxi type products were just hype.
HI! So since I test real world situations I don't want to replicate exact lab settings. I do have this disclaimer in my description of every video *******DISCLAIMER: All of the bacterial experiments that I perform are conducted in my home which does not have the same conditions as a laboratory, and is for entertainment only.******* So since people don't put in gloves to remove laundry, I am not going to for my testing, that keeps it real world and not trying to mimic a lab. I love that you thought oxi products were just hype! This is exactly why I test things. Think about all the products out there that make these claims, and how many actually work!
@@FieldOfFocus Now I understand why you don't wear gloves for your experiments. That makes a lot more sense. I wasn't figuring in the real-world factor. 🙂

Great information! I use the blue shop paper towels to handwash dishes and cleaning.
My husband uses those blue shop papertowels... I have considered doing a papertowel test (I did bacteria with paper towels already).. but rather what paper towels holds the most water etc . We will see!! Thanks for watching!
Interesting! Future video idea:
Oxiclean vs pure Sodium Percarbonate vs Washing Soda vs Baking Soda

Thank you for the suggestions! I will add them to my viewer suggestion list!
I'm so into your videos! Definitely going to get some of this oxy clean, I regularly use the odor removing one but it's worth it to have the sanitizer. Also, love the music on your videos, it adds to the "enjoyability"! Thank you!
Thank you so much for watching!! I'm glad you are enjoying the music and the experiments. ❤️
Thank you for these videos. I wonder how much the Tide pod participated in the sanitizing. Maybe you could try one with just the Oxyclean.
Will add to my list!
Thanks for sharing that suggestion!
Same here. Cold water takes forever 😊
I will add those to my viewer suggestion list! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Awesome video! I'm currently using this to strip my cloth diapers and I love seeing a visual of it working! Subscribed.
Thank you! I cloth diapered many many years ago (teenagers now), and I wish I had this to clean them. Thanks for watching and for the subscribe!
As a cleaning enthusiast I love videos like this. You, my friend have just earned a new subscriber! Thank you for all you do! 🙂

You don’t how happy I am to know this does works for my cloths!!!! And disinfecting my laundry! I also use the Lysol laundry sanitizer in the rinse cycle after just to make sure!
PERFECT! It does make you feel better seeing that products actually work! Thanks for watching!
I’m curious if you could get similar results with less product. What’s the minimum amount of product to be effective. I feel like these companies want you to use way too much in order to sell you more.
That is a good idea.. I will add it to my viewer suggestion list!
They do condition you to use too much with their scoops. I use about 1/8th a scoop per load (we have softened water which may help).
Pls do gain original laundry detergent powder + vinegar rinse in the clothes softener tray/drawer next🙏
I will add that to my viewer suggestion list! Thanks for watching!
Hey Linda, you’re awesome! Thanks for doing this, oxi is my fave sanitizer and this definitely put my mind at ease with the germs 😅
You are so welcome! I am glad you found this helpful! Thank you for watching 😊
such a relief to know! I use the oxi clean laundry sanitize for all of my laundry needs!
YES! I am really happy with these results! It feels good when you find a good product that works! Thanks for watching!
That would be great when using public washers
YES! Great idea!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just wanted to say that your videos are super interesting and very helpful! I ended up watching so many of them at once! Thank you and stay awesome! Best regards from Serbia! :)
Thank you so very much for watching and commenting! I am so glad you are enjoying them!!
I would love for you to do the same thing just without any cleaning products and see how much a washing machine cleans without any product then compare!
ooooh good idea!!! I will add that to the list! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Yes, my laundry machine has a sanitize setting
Can't wait to see what other products you try for this!
Thank you for watching and for your interest!! I am having a great time testing so many products!
Love your accent! Too cute 🙈
Thank you very much!
I would luv to see if the sanitize option on the washer alone actually sanitize my laundry
Hello! Yes that would be good to know.. My washing machine has an option called "sanitize with oxi".. but I could try it without the oxi sometime. Thanks for watching!
@@FieldOfFocus Thanks so much for the reply😁
It is expensive!!!!!!! Haven't tested H2O2 yet in laundry.
Hello, can you please let us know if Odoban disinfects laundry? I love your videos! Thank you!
OH YES! I will do an Odoban laundry test... It is on my list and I am super curious too!!! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Wouldn’t it be horrifying if Covid killed so many because people don’t know to do basic cleaning ? Your channel is mind blowing .
@@lilywondertwin Covid is a respiratory virus so spread through the air, specifically by inhaling aerosol particles; this is in the Indoor Air and Coronavirus (COVID-19) section of the EPA website.
Awesome as always, keep up these great experiments
Thank you very much! There are so many things to test!!
@@FieldOfFocus awesome
Could you test how soaking cloths in white vinegar in different solution performs?
Would love to see if there's a differences between cotton clothes vs microfiber clothes. Does one sanitize better than the other? Does one get cleaner in the laundry?
That is another great idea. On my list it goes!
That would be interesting. I like the absorbency of the microfiber cloths, but I also really like the basic “flour sack” cotton cloths from Walmart. They’re cheap, and you can refold them as you clean to get a clean surface.
Can you do the same test but with the regular oxyclean to compare results with the oxyclean sanitizer version??
I will add the regular oxiclean to my list! Thank you!
Yes please test regular oxiclean!
This feels like watching a Raybuurn video in the future.
Interesting. Never compared myself to him before!
Definitely try Lysol Disinfectant. I wonder?
I do have to get to that test for sure! Thanks for watching!
@@FieldOfFocus the Lysol for clothes. 🙂
Can you please do seventh generation laundry detergent? Love your videos!
Great idea! Will add it to my viewer request list. I appreciate your thoughts! Thank you!
Will you please test Force of Nature?!? My sister in law just introduced me to it and I would love to see what your results show! ☺️
YES YES YES!! I just got it!!! Hope to have it all tested and video edited for Feb 22!!!!
Can you do a test with regular oxiclean? im curious if it would work as well since it is supposed to be hydrogen peroxide
That is a great idea, I will add it to my viewer suggestion list! Thank you!!
What about a diluted water and oxiclean sanitizer in the bathroom or in the kitchen?
I have not tried cleaning my home surfaces with oxiclean, but will add that to my viewer suggestion list! Thanks for watching!
How about testing toothbrush with UV light and maybe even hydrogen peroxide. I use hydrogen peroxide to brush my tongue and rinse my toothbrush after so I am curious if that works!
I will add it to my viewer suggestion list! Thanks for watching!
@@FieldOfFocusAnother comparison would be to spray the toothbrush with Force of Nature.
What? Where’s the control? Does regular detergent NOT kill bacteria?

Wonderful video!!!
Thank you for watching and commenting!!
I will add that to my viewer suggestion list, I wash lots of stuff with cold water! Thank you for watching and commenting!
with cold water you may as well throw your money down the drain. Totally useless.
Does Oxiclean sanitizer contain quats (QACs), like the Lysol laundry sanitizer and Odoban do? I’m trying to decrease or eliminate those in my home. Thank you.
My container has these are active ingredients Tetraacetylethylenediamine (not a quat), Sodium Percabonate (not a quat).
@@FieldOfFocus Thank you so much for looking!
@@sonlighter01Is there something wrong with QACs?
Will Generic Oxiclean work the same?
Unsure.. haven't tested that yet!! Will add to the list!
@@jercasgavWhat is the ingredient in the Oxi sanitizer, please?
Brilliant! Thank you!
You're very welcome! Thanks for watching!
The problem is you have to use the mixed liquid within a few hours or it will lose its effectiveness. So you can't make a big batch at once.
For this I just added it to the laundry, so there was no mixing and waiting. I am unsure of how many hours it loses it's effectiveness, that might be interesting to test. Where did you find that info? Interesting thoughts, thanks for watching!
I don't think temperature really matters because if it's not super hot won't kill anything the sanitizers has to do the work
Good point!
Could you try Dapple all purpose clean for baby’s/kids
Hello! I will add Dapple to my list (my list does have about 250 suggestions right now FYI). I have never heard of this product so I will google it! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hi, thank you for all your efforts on RUclips. Would you please do a video on Oxiclean Home and Laundry Sanitizer on a microfiber couch. Thanks.
GOOD LUCK!
@@FieldOfFocus Again, You Rock! I have watched both videos suggested and will get busy. Will report back my findings in due course.🙏🌞
I do have this disclaimer in my description of every video *******DISCLAIMER: All of the bacterial experiments that I perform are conducted in my home which does not have the same conditions as a laboratory, and is for entertainment only.*******
So since people don't put in gloves to remove laundry, I am not going to for my testing, that keeps it real world and not trying to mimic a lab.
i want to see the test done when the laundry uses just hot water, and no soap or bleach

The problem with this is bacteria are everywhere and most are not pathogenic so there is no need to remove them.
Absolutely correct. I test products to see if real world results match product claims.
