Here is the video with just laundry detergent: Is It Enough?? Laundry w/ Tide Pods & Drying Cloths To Remove Bacteria?? I Tested w/ Petri Dishes! ruclips.net/video/gPSyRFN3-Zo/видео.html
I'm glad you provided the link to the just laundry detergent results in this pinned comment since I was wondering about that case when watching this video. The just laundry detergent results combined with the just Lysol Laundry Sanitizer results indicate that Lysol Laundry Sanitizer works much better than laundry detergent alone for removing bacteria. The sanitizing effect of the dryer surprised me. I presume it is from the heat of the dryer. You said the dryer setting you used was the setting for towels. Is that a high heat setting? My dryer only has heat settings labelled Air, Low, Medium, and High. I usually dry my clothes on Medium heat rather than High heat because that helps reduce wrinkles and prevents inadvertent scorching. Thanks for posting these videos.
I would be interested to know if it would fair as well in the rinse cycle if you ran the load with detergent in the wash as many detergents supposedly neutralize the sanitizing properties of the Lysol, and their would likely be a fair bit of detergent left in the load when the rinse cycle runs
This confirms me using cleaning rags to clean everything and washing those separately in the wash and never washing cleaning rags with any of my other laundry. I also separate out my kitchen towels, and bathroom towels separately also. So basically there’s five categories of washing: clothing, bedding, bathroom towels, and face cloths, etc., kitchen towels, and reusable sponges, and finally cleaning rags. BTW, use the Lysol sanitizer (free and clear) in my pre-wash cup and also in my fabric softener cup, so I put it in both places when I do my laundry.
My son actually had bought that product first and when he started adding it to the wash cycle with laundry soap, it did an amazing thing which was removing all the nasty odors out of his clothes. I’m not sure if it disinfects and don’t really care. I’m just grateful that it actually removes odors.
Extraordinary analysis! I’ve been using Lysol Laundry Sanitizer for years, but never realized I was supposed to let it sit for 15-16 minutes. My small commercial-grade Speed Queen has even fewer settings than the machine shown here (I wanted the least-featured workhorse replacement for my 50-year-old Maytag). I was afraid your findings might show I had to relaunder every textile in my home! But I take great comfort in seeing how phenomenally the Lysol product still performs the ‘lazy’ way I’ve been using it. Too, you’ve confirmed it’s not my imagination - my dog’s muddy and bath towels really are amazingly clean and fresh after laundering with it! Thank you!
I love this stuff. I have two profoundly disabled daughters and two huge service dogs.this stuff takes smells away better than anything else I’ve used. Like, we have lots of feeding and elimination goo, and smells are a persistent problem. I love this stuff.
I own a boarding kennel and use this on bedding that the dogs have peed, pooped, or puked on. While I feel better about the bacteria, the scent bothers me enough that I know it bothers the dogs too so I don’t use it on bedding that wasn’t messed on. I wish there was no scent to it.
@@bigred9428 Yes, that’s the one I use, thank you. It still has a definite chemical scent to it though and I worry about the dogs’ olfactory tracts getting irritated since they are so incredibly sensitive. 😔 What I meant was that I wish there was no scent of chemicals left behind.
I use the lysol sport sanitizer to wash my clothes just to kill germs but never knew how effective it was. Great video; glad to know i haven't been wasting my money.
I never heard of you before this video entered my feed. After watching this entire video you have completely made my purchase for this sanitizers happen. I use public washing machines so this is so important to me. I will use it in my pre wash and again in my softener slot. If your outcomes were different I would have totally went with your opinion. You are so knowledgeable. Thank you for sharing this
Been using this for years! I'm a nurse and started using it on my scrubs right after it came out. I have a frontloader washer and have been adding it to my wash cycle. Which I always have going for a "heavier" soiled load, so it actually washes for about 25 minutes.
When you did it the "wrong" way without waiting doing the full recommended rinse, i was expecting so much bacteria to stay behind! These results convinced me to purchase. I don't use fabric softener anymore since learning its basically fragranced sludge. This will be a better use for that slot.
And if you use less than half the HE laundry liquid you won't have a disgusting smell with mold and mildew you will be so happy. I use a teaspoon and extra rinse. My clothes don't stink
That last test reassured me that the way I’ve been using it was not just a placebo. 😅 I have been using it for a few years now (since the pandemic). I ALWAYS use it for my towels and washcloths, gym clothes etc., and they always come out so fresh, and feeling much cleaner than ever before. Thank you for going the extra mile and showing that it really does work!
I tried the lysol laundry detergent in the rinse cycle and found the laundry still smelled like lysol, which I was not a fan of. Then I tried putting it in the wash cycle with the laundry soap. This was much better and the wash cycle is longer than the rinse cycle anyway. After reading the labels fine print, I concluded that this is just regular lysol that has been somewhat watered down. Now i am using regular lysol cleaner (lemon scent) in the wash cycle. I use two capfulls (the small caps on the lysol cleaner bottle) for a small wash and add another capful for each size-up of wash load. Everything comes out smelling very fresh and clean. And its much, much cheaper.
Thank you! I really appreciate this video. This is the first time I have ever seen one of your videos. I use this Lysol Laundry Sanitizer for some of my personal loads of laundry. I volunteer at a no-kill cat shelter and bring home 5-7 loads of laundry from there every week. This is from my one day of volunteering. There is so much more laundry that is done through the entire week. You can probably just imagine the amount of bacteria that accumulates on blankets, quilts, pet beds, towels, etc.from these babies. I was very skeptical about this product, but now I feel so much better that I am using it to greatly reduce the amount of bacteria that these kitties may be subjected to. Our goal is to harbor any cat that is surrendered and we can accommodate, feed, provide a healthy life to via Veterinary visits, warmth in the winter and coolness in the summer but first of all provide so much love for these beloved sweeties! P.S. I am now a subscriber!
I also found that using the Lysol laundry sanitizer cuts out any odor that I have coming from my top loader washer. I discovered that I can wash out my kitchen sink drain with hot water and dish detergent followed by the Lysol sanitizer. I let that sit overnight and flush with hot water the next morning. It removes any drain odor that I might have.
I wouldn't suggest doing that... Your kitchen sink is for food prep. Lysol LAUNDRY Sanitizer is not food-grade. So one needs to keep home cleaning tasks separately from food preparation. Keep the laundry chemicals in a utility sink.
I would *LOVE* to see a test on disinfecting sponges - particularly testing a sponge that was run though the dishwasher with dishes. My wife does this which makes me cringe. (You could test the dishes too to see if the sponge transfers bacteria to the dishes! My view is that dishwashers are not designed for fabrics, hence washing sponges and small towels in them will not give good results!
So I confess, I use a HE machine and I don't time the rinse cycle or how long it's in there. I just add it to the fabric softener dispenser. I'm not very concerned with disinfecting my laundry. just removing microbes that cause odor.
I had to get this when my cat was at the end of his life. He was having a lot of accidents and this took the smell right out of the bath mat he would have accidents on. It has been a staple since.
It’s actually Hilton Hotel that smells Lysol Laundry Sanitizer simply because they use it. They started advertising it. If you check their hotel bathrooms, you will see stickers that says they use the product to sanitize.
Not laundry sanitizer, but Lysol products. Primarily strategically placed wipes in displays, marketing cropped up during covid to put the guests mind at ease
See I don’t have a washer , I share a washer in my apartments. So I don’t have time to presoak. Thanks to this I’ll stick to just adding in my fabric softener slot. Thanks you ! Your amazing for doing this
Ugh, I hear you. My cousin is going through the same thing. He said enough already! This is enough to have him house-hunting right now. Apart from the machines being a rip-off in his building, he cannot pause the wash cycles, a true luxury when you have your own w/d set in your home.
I didn't read enough to know if anybody else has mentioned this, but I am wondering how much bacteria would have been removed if you had simply put the dirty cloths in the washer and used only water, and then put them in the dryer and tested afterwards. That could be a better control, because then the only difference would be with and without sanitizer. I am wondering how much simply washing without sanitizer could possibly dilute and clean the cloths, and then how well the dryer would kill any remaining bacteria. Thanks! I appreciate all your testing. Perhaps you have tested this before and I simply haven't taken the time to find it. If so, I apologize in advance.
The first laundry test I did was same cloths with just 1 tide pod. That is here Is It Enough?? Laundry w/ Tide Pods & Drying Cloths To Remove Bacteria?? I Tested w/ Petri Dishes! ruclips.net/video/gPSyRFN3-Zo/видео.html I have not tested just a water wash because after the Tide Pod results, I felt I didn't need to. Thank you for reaching out and asking!
My washer smelled (and thus also my clothes) no matter what I did...bleach, vinegar, cleaning tabs, filter check, etc. I use this w each load (1 of 3 people doing laundry in the house) and no more smell...in the machine or my othes!
I've been using this for years and always wondered if it really worked. I don't over use it, but definitely use it for bathroom and kitchen cleaning cloths. Thank you for making me feel better about this sanitizer.
My science fair project in 8th grade was based on how well three different laundry detergents worked to kill bacteria in clothing. I won a blue ribbon which was 1st place. You are essentially recreating my project with the product in curious about now so, thank you so much as these are the results methods I am familiar with. Couldn't be happier.
I bought that product (could do without the scent). I use it as per instructions, with detergent and in the fabric softener dispenser. Glad to know that the results are valid!
I’ve been using this since it first came out. I add it to the fabric softener dispenser. I wash everything in cold water except whites and air dry most of it cuz i don’t want it to fade. You can definitely tell when someone washes their towels in cold water without the Lysol 😵💫🤮
I’m a mysophobe and this was so helpful. I appreciate that you took the time to create a comprehensible comparison. I use Lysol but will use it more often when I do the wash. Thanks again 🧡🧡
This experiment tells me that you need to clean the inside of your dryer with the Lysol Laundry Sanitizer. 😂 Thanks for the video. I've used this Sanitizer ever since the pandemic. Love it.
I’d love to see the comparison of with and without the sanitizer. Using just regular detergent to see if the detergent is just as effective without the sanitizer.

Yes I did that here: Is It Enough?? Laundry w/ Tide Pods & Drying Cloths To Remove Bacteria?? I Tested w/ Petri Dishes! ruclips.net/video/gPSyRFN3-Zo/видео.html
When I used public laundry this was a must and now that I have in unit washer and dryer at home I still use it for my scrubs. Glad to know it actually does something instead of just hoping it does lol
The hot water helps with killing the bacteria as well. And then if soap is used, there wouldn’t be many, if any. I love using this product on my scrubs!
Thank you so much for this! I bought this before, but I wasn’t sure if it worked. When you read the instructions I thought “oh, I’m never doing that.” So I appreciate that you tested it for lazy laundry people who want to set it and forget it. Instant like & subscribe!
Whoa! The toilet rim results surprised me. Thank you for commenting on the scents of the cleaning products ... 👍 Strong scents have kept me from purchasing some cleaning products again.
I would love to see a similar test using Odo-Ban Disinfectant (original eucalyptus scent is my favorite). I have used it in my laundry for sheets and towels for years. I also use it when cleaning stubborn things in the bathroom, kitchen and even outside. I wonder if it lives up to what the packaging says.
I rehab old vacuum cleaners with cloth bags like Kirby and Hoover. Some of the bags can be quite stinky. I soak them in odo-ban in the tub overnight and they smell brand new. Mildew, nicotine, dust smell gone.
Just add it to the wash cycle with what you normally put in and it will have plenty of time and it gets to work with the soap as well. This is wonderful for diapers and work clothes
I started using the stuff in 2020 right at the start of Covid. I don’t use it the same way. I actually use it in the wash cycle and I also put a cap full in the rinse cycle along with the fabric softener
The soap negates the sanitation properties. Per Lysol: What happens if you mix Lysol sanitizer with detergent? You may notice your normal detergent is not as effective if you mix with Lysol Laundry Disinfectant. These products are not meant to be used together so we do not recommend it. There are no safety concerns, but you will not have the best usage experience for both products.
I've been using Oxiclean Sanitizer since you tested it and I finally got some peace of mind thanks to you. After watching the Lysol Laundry results, I think I prefer Oxiclean. Thank you so much for your videos! I love your channel.
@@FieldOfFocus Yes, that is the version I use. I haven't used scented laundry products in decades, and now after all these years, my nose practically tries to close up like a camel's when I smell scented laundry soap/softeners!🐪😂😂 I don't have any allergies to it, just a personal preference. The Safeway in my semi-rural town in Arizona carries it, and of course Amazon has EVERYTHING, if you shop there.
I have two large Sheepadoodle, although they don’t shed, like all living things they produce some smells that are not the way I want my house to smell. Washing our laundry with Lysol sanitizer has been a game changer and I love it! My cleaning and dog laundry comes out smelling and looking great. I highly recommend. Thank you for posting your test and the results. It definitely makes me feel better knowing there was a decrease in bacteria.
I feel like Lysol laundry sanitizer does a better job of removing odor than Downy rinse and refresh. Plus the Downy R&R leaves a sticky residue in the fabric softener dispenser.
I use Lysol sanitizer in my fabric softener dispenser so I’m happy to see these results. Especially interesting since I hang my clothes outside to dry-I don’t have a dryer. 😊
Thank you so much for this! I started using Lysol laundry sanitizer during COVID. I know it wouldn’t kill viruses but the awareness of germs that Covid brought up made me want to start using it. I’m so glad this product is actually working!
Im so glad I found this. I like to use this as a fabric softener - not alternative - REPLACEMENT. I never get that lingering musty smell that tends to remain after getting your load out of the washer. It ends up smelling 100% clean and it did wonders for my contact dermatitis. Better than bleach to be completely honest. 😁
Wish you would’ve done a control. Cut the rags in half. Presoak half and just wash the other half without pre soaking and show the difference. Washing alone may have yielded the same results and we could be wasting money on the sanitizer.

This is fascinating. What about a comparison between using this vs just washing with detergent? I enjoyed seeing the results, but it doesn’t seem very meaningful without the comparison to a regular wash.
For anyone else having the same question, I found this video that the poster shared in a response to another comment: ruclips.net/video/gPSyRFN3-Zo/видео.htmlsi=IeUjiYCw5k2AFtgr
I just found your video today, 09-17-2024. Thank you for testing Lysol laundry sanitizer and sharing your results with us. It's great to hear that Lysol has always been one of the leading germ fighters from years past to present! Thanks again!
Thank you SO MUCH for this video! I've been using this product in my fabric softener dispenser without the extended rinse cycle, just as you tested in the extra step, and I am SUPER pumped to know it really does work as advertised!
Thank you for this video! I use this on all my towels, dish towels, cleaning rags, etc. I’m immune suppressed after a kidney transplant and don’t like or use bleach. This was a great video.
It’s hot where I live and we don’t have air conditioning so sweat profusely, especially if we also worked in the yard as my clothes would be completely saturated with sweat. I started buying the Lysol sanitizer but ignored the directions. I used to run a normal cycle with detergent and since the clothes never seemed clean, would run an additional rinse cycle. Anything that sat after laundering seemed to develop an odor. I ran my usual full wash cycle with a presoak then started another full wash cycle with a presoak and only added the Lysol and allowed the rinse cycle to continue that just had plain water. It truly helped. T-shirts, sheets and other items never developed an odor. After seeing the bacteria after you dried the clothes, I think I will be applying some disinfectant spray to the inside of my dryer😊
Thank you! I use this stuff all the time and wondered how well it really works for bacteria. I like how well it works to get the stink out my son's stinky clothes.
I wash all our backpacks after our flight. I was unsure if washing with Lysol really disinfects my clothes and im happy to see the results of your experiment worked. But i wash mine with gentle cycle with cold water. I hope it still disinfects😬
I used this during nursing school and when I worked in the ED. I realized I wasn’t even using it properly whoops. I simply added it to the softener cycle or the bleach dispenser and hit start before I hopped in the shower.
I use this to shampoo my carpets, I have dogs that have relieved themselves on it so I spot treat the area, allowing plenty of time for the product to do its job then shampoo regularly
I use this product when washing towels. I use hot water, detergent, Lysol product. Then dry on the sanitizer cycle on my dryer. The towels feel softer now and more absorbent.
Adopted this sanitizer at start of covid and I've been happy with it. They do have an unscented version, which I prefer, but my lical shops only carry the smaller size which is more expensive per ounce than the larger size ( for both scented and unscented). Thanks for sharing these results!
I use this product on my work clothes because I’m a house cleaner and I get all kinds of nastiness on me. I bet this is also great for those in the medical field! Great video!
I use it to remove odors from my laundry and it does a wonderful job. 1/2 cap max when I put in soap in with soap and I put in fabric softener as normal. No smell of sweat, cat pee, cigarette smoke when laundry is done. I use it for sweaty laundry and pet accidents at home . I used it on a friends laundry t remove smoke so I know that works
Laundry sanitizer is what helped convince me to use cleaning rags instead of paper towels 🎉 Also use them for my partner's laundry since he works in a hospital 🥴
thank you SO MUCH for doing the /no detergent/regular rinse cycle/ experiment. that was what im most curious about!! now i can comfortably just run my machine without worrying about pausing it! we have a 2-in1 washer that washes and dries your clothes in 1 machine so i don't think i have to worry about my clothes getting bacteria from the dryer. again thank you so much for this video/experiment! YOU are a godsend!
I LOVE the Lysol laundry disinfectant! I use it ALL the time! It does come in unscented too. I added it to my laundry routine after my nose test on laundry was a passing grade. I swear my nose can smell bacteria 😅
I love this stuff. They do have an unscented version. I love your channel. You know, i grew up using 409 as the all purpose cleaner in our home. I’d love to see this tested.
You missed one thing or maybe I missed you saying it. The control… you did not soak the testers without Lysol in the bucket. You did not rinse the testers in the washing machine. It’s obvious that bacteria will remain on the rags but it’s necessary for good research. I also fail to understand the purpose behind taking samples from testers after the dryer. Are we looking for regrowth from the already dead bacteria? Fun video tho! I enjoyed it! Thanks for uploading!
Wow! I hope Lysol is paying your a huge fee -- for real-world testing their products. Absolutely superb video! Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! I was suprised there was any bacteria after heated drying!
Thank you for doing this research. I have been using it since it came out. I have pets and a husband who smoked. Have never been disappointed. I get coupons from the company all the time too.
The dedication to buying a completely new dryer just to make this video.... just kidding. I noticed that you took off the new sticker off the dryer in between shots and found that funny...am now considering buying this for my gym clothes. Will be watching the video with detergent to formulate my opinion.

It’s actually Hilton Hotel that smells Lysol Laundry Sanitizer simply because they use it. They started advertising it. If you check their hotel bathrooms, you will see stickers that says they use the product to sanitize.
Interesting! I didn't know that! Thanks!
Your amazing for doing this
You are welcome!! I am so glad you found this video helpful! Thanks for watching!
Ugh, I hear you. My cousin is going through the same thing. He said enough already! This is enough to have him house-hunting right now. Apart from the machines being a rip-off in his building, he cannot pause the wash cycles, a true luxury when you have your own w/d set in your home.
I love the way it smells! I would probably use it even if it didn’t work just for the scent. Lol.
I Tested w/ Petri Dishes! ruclips.net/video/gPSyRFN3-Zo/видео.html
I have not tested just a water wash because after the Tide Pod results, I felt I didn't need to. Thank you for reaching out and asking!
I work in a daycare and I've been using this for a while in my laundry to reduce risk of illness spreading and I'm so happy this video came to my feed
I am glad you are using it!!! Thanks for watching!
My washer smelled (and thus also my clothes) no matter what I did...bleach, vinegar, cleaning tabs, filter check, etc. I use this w each load (1 of 3 people doing laundry in the house) and no more smell...in the machine or my othes!
That is great!!!
I’ve been using this for years. It works great for my boys’ smelly gym clothes. Thank you for the experiment! 😊 I’m going to clean my dryer today 😂.
Sounds good!! Thanks for watching!!!
I've been using this for years and always wondered if it really worked. I don't over use it, but definitely use it for bathroom and kitchen cleaning cloths. Thank you for making me feel better about this sanitizer.
YES! I use it for cleaning cloths and towels!
Ok. Now this is the content I need!
Thanks! I am glad you are enjoying it!!
That’s awesome! It’s great that you had so much success in 8th grade!
I bought that product (could do without the scent). I use it as per instructions, with detergent and in the fabric softener dispenser. Glad to know that the results are valid!
Thanks for sharing and watching!
I’ve been using this since it first came out. I add it to the fabric softener dispenser. I wash everything in cold water except whites and air dry most of it cuz i don’t want it to fade. You can definitely tell when someone washes their towels in cold water without the Lysol 😵💫🤮
YES!!!!
Why is that?? In what way csn u tell if towels were rinsed in Lysol, verve’s NOT RINCED in Lysol??
I been using this since it came out and I hoped it worked. Thank you for your time 🎉🎉🎉
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!!
Thanks for the video. I've used this Sanitizer ever since the pandemic. Love it.
I’d love to see the comparison of with and without the sanitizer. Using just regular detergent to see if the detergent is just as effective without the sanitizer.

ruclips.net/video/gPSyRFN3-Zo/видео.html
I would love to see a sample of JUST detergent and no sanitzer to see if that removes bacteria just as well or if this product really does make a big difference. Thank you!!
I am glad you found this helpful!!! Thanks for watching!
The hot water helps with killing the bacteria as well. And then if soap is used, there wouldn’t be many, if any. I love using this product on my scrubs!
When I tested detergent alone.. it did not remove all of the bacteria.. it was rather disappointing.
I always just used REGULAR LYSOL in my laundry when I couldn’t use bleach! I have a feeling that this is just REGULAR LYSOL😂😂😂😂
This sanitizer works amazing even when put in with detergent at start of laundry without wait time I love this stuff so much
Thank you so much for this! I bought this before, but I wasn’t sure if it worked. When you read the instructions I thought “oh, I’m never doing that.” So I appreciate that you tested it for lazy laundry people who want to set it and forget it. Instant like & subscribe!
Exactly! Who is going to be pausing their machine during the rinse cycle? No one. Thank you for watching and for your support!
Whoa! The toilet rim results surprised me. Thank you for commenting on the scents of the cleaning products ... 👍 Strong scents have kept me from purchasing some cleaning products again.
Yes! Toilet rim... argh always a good one!! Some strong scents are just too much for me too! thanks for watching!
Testing Odoban To See If It Can Remove Bacteria From Laundry! - Tested with Petri Dishes ruclips.net/video/fIulmPFAsO0/видео.html
@@FieldOfFocusoh thank you!! I just found your channel and am really enjoying it. Cant wait to watch the other odoban videos👍🏻
I rehab old vacuum cleaners with cloth bags like Kirby and Hoover. Some of the bags can be quite stinky. I soak them in odo-ban in the tub overnight and they smell brand new. Mildew, nicotine, dust smell gone.
@@anderander5662 the stuff truly is great!
Just add it to the wash cycle with what you normally put in and it will have plenty of time and it gets to work with the soap as well. This is wonderful for diapers and work clothes
That's what I do
I started using the stuff in 2020 right at the start of Covid.
It is good to have options!!!!! Thank you so much for watching!
Thanks for this. I prefer unscented things because of allergies. I’m glad to see that this an effective product.
A few viewers have said they have seen it unscented in their stores.
@@FieldOfFocus
Yes, that is the version I use.
I haven't used scented laundry products in decades, and now after all these years, my nose practically tries to close up like a camel's when I smell scented laundry soap/softeners!🐪😂😂
I don't have any allergies to it, just a personal preference.
Glad it helped!
I feel like Lysol laundry sanitizer does a better job of removing odor than Downy rinse and refresh. Plus the Downy R&R leaves a sticky residue in the fabric softener dispenser.
Try vinegar. Yes, really!!
@@katie7748 I use vinegar too sometimes
I use Lysol sanitizer in my fabric softener dispenser so I’m happy to see these results. Especially interesting since I hang my clothes outside to dry-I don’t have a dryer. 😊
YES! That is great! Glad this video helped you!
Well done and very informative. I am a faithful user of Lysol laundry sanitizer.
Thanks for your support! I am glad you like using the Lysol Laundry Sanitizer!
I'm a STEM educator and I'm showing my kiddos this!
I hope they enjoy this!!! ❤️
Thank you so much for this! I started using Lysol laundry sanitizer during COVID. I know it wouldn’t kill viruses but the awareness of germs that Covid brought up made me want to start using it. I’m so glad this product is actually working!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Glad it was helpful!
Wish you would’ve done a control. Cut the rags in half. Presoak half and just wash the other half without pre soaking and show the difference. Washing alone may have yielded the same results and we could be wasting money on the sanitizer.

I agree
U did a great job, it was a suggestion that is all
You could always do it yourself instead of coming yo another video abs b*thing about it smh
To be taken seriously, you need to have a control group.
Glad you found the tide pod video! I hope that answered your questions!
I love this stuff. The smell is awesome!!!!
I love this product. I add it in the bleach opening. I love the way my clothes smell CLEAN.
Glad you like it!
That's also a good reason to clean and disifect washer and dryers and better to hang cloths to dry instead of using dryer
Yes I do have videos on cleaning the washer machine and drying in the sun! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I just found your video today, 09-17-2024. Thank you for testing Lysol laundry sanitizer and sharing your results with us. It's great to hear that Lysol has always been one of the leading germ fighters from years past to present! Thanks again!
Thank you for watching!
Thank you SO MUCH for this video! I've been using this product in my fabric softener dispenser without the extended rinse cycle, just as you tested in the extra step, and I am SUPER pumped to know it really does work as advertised!
You are very welcome! I am glad this video helped you!
One of my favorite purchases. Makes laundry and machine smell good.
YES!!! Glad you like it!
Thank you for this video! I use this on all my towels, dish towels, cleaning rags, etc. I’m immune suppressed after a kidney transplant and don’t like or use bleach. This was a great video.
You are welcome! I am glad you found this video to be helpful for you!!!!
I am glad you continued to try different ways to get it to your rinse cycle!! Glad it is working for you!
Thank you! I use this stuff all the time and wondered how well it really works for bacteria. I like how well it works to get the stink out my son's stinky clothes.
YES! It is a great product!
This product is a must for me because I use a public machine at a laundromat to wash my clothes. I've been using it since quarantine.
YES! I agree! I would use it for sure with a public machine.
Wowowow I’m blown. Away!! Thank you for this video!!
You’re welcome! I’m glad it was helpful!
Super Interesting. Thanks for the effort of doing that second step!!
I am glad I did that too. It just seemed so unreasonable to pause my washing machine! Thanks for watching!
This is the exact video I was hoping you made. Thanks!
You are welcome! I am glad you found it useful! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I wash all our backpacks after our flight. I was unsure if washing with Lysol really disinfects my clothes and im happy to see the results of your experiment worked. But i wash mine with gentle cycle with cold water. I hope it still disinfects😬
Good idea!!! I will have to test it in cold water.. good idea!!! Thanks!
I used this during nursing school and when I worked in the ED. I realized I wasn’t even using it properly whoops. I simply added it to the softener cycle or the bleach dispenser and hit start before I hopped in the shower.
Before I started product testing, I didn't always read the labels either.. so good to start now! Thanks for watching!
Well I don't have time for all that. Thanks for helping me save money!
I use this to shampoo my carpets, I have dogs that have relieved themselves on it so I spot treat the area, allowing plenty of time for the product to do its job then shampoo regularly
Thanks for sharing!
I'm totally trying this in my carpet shampooer y'all
Interesting!
How did it go? I’m doing my carpet tomorrow. There’s a bit by my kitchen that especially needs it
I’m thinking about spraying our rugs with Force of nature weekly. I know it won’t get deep in to the fibers but just “better” is good enough for us
I use this product when washing towels. I use hot water, detergent, Lysol product. Then dry on the sanitizer cycle on my dryer. The towels feel softer now and more absorbent.
Glad you use it and enjoy it!
I use Lysol Laundry Sanitizer to de-funk my older t-shirts. Works great.
Thanks for sharing!
Adopted this sanitizer at start of covid and I've been happy with it. They do have an unscented version, which I prefer, but my lical shops only carry the smaller size which is more expensive per ounce than the larger size ( for both scented and unscented).
Thanks for sharing these results!
Thank you for watching and commenting!
I use this product on my work clothes because I’m a house cleaner and I get all kinds of nastiness on me. I bet this is also great for those in the medical field! Great video!
YES! Good point! Glad to hear you use it!!!
Glad it works for you!
Thank you for doing these test. I have been using this product for a few years now. I feel more confident using the sanitizer now.
Glad it was helpful!
This is why I love this stuff!!
Glad you like the Lysol and thank you for watching!
Laundry sanitizer is what helped convince me to use cleaning rags instead of paper towels 🎉
Also use them for my partner's laundry since he works in a hospital 🥴
YES! I use it for cleaning rags!!
thank you SO MUCH for doing the /no detergent/regular rinse cycle/ experiment. that was what im most curious about!! now i can comfortably just run my machine without worrying about pausing it! we have a 2-in1 washer that washes and dries your clothes in 1 machine so i don't think i have to worry about my clothes getting bacteria from the dryer. again thank you so much for this video/experiment! YOU are a godsend!
You are very welcome! I am so happy you are enjoying my content!! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Thank you for testing this product. I've always wondered if I am wasting my money however, I have not been using the product correctly. 😅
I am glad you enjoyed this test!! It is nice to see how well it works!
I bought my first bottle a couple of weeks ago. Happy to see it works.
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I have similarities to "Monk" 😅, so you have a new subie. This was so helpful, thank you!
I am glad you find my videos helpful!!!! Thanks for watching!
It makes sense to come out of the dryer with bacteria. It's not sterile, and it has had "non-lysol-sanitized" clothing running through it for years
Absolutely. At the time that dryer was less than a year old but over time of course it will get some! Thanks for watching!
I LOVE the Lysol laundry disinfectant! I use it ALL the time! It does come in unscented too.
I added it to my laundry routine after my nose test on laundry was a passing grade. I swear my nose can smell bacteria 😅
Great to hear you use it and like it!
I love this stuff. They do have an unscented version. I love your channel. You know, i grew up using 409 as the all purpose cleaner in our home. I’d love to see this tested.
I grew up with my mom using 409 and Fantastik! I should buy some and test it out.. on the viewer suggestion list it goes!
@@FieldOfFocus Yay!!!! Thanks you!
I was happy to see the fragrance-free version at my local Target. Some stores only carry the fragranced one.
Unfortunately no. I make a little from RUclips but not much. Hoping someday it will change. I really enjoy testing products and sharing results!
Thank you for doing this research. I have been using it since it came out. I have pets and a husband who smoked. Have never been disappointed. I get coupons from the company all the time too.
You are welcome! Glad to hear you use it and like it!
How do you get the coupons? Contacted them?
Thank you for speaking my language.
I am glad you enjoyed my video! Thank you for watching!
For the price I’ll stick with Odoban the results were comparable and Odoban is cheaper. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
The dedication to buying a completely new dryer just to make this video.... just kidding. I noticed that you took off the new sticker off the dryer in between shots and found that funny...am now considering buying this for my gym clothes. Will be watching the video with detergent to formulate my opinion.
HA! you noticed!! 🤣🤣😂
