HW99s Tuning

  • So the TX200 HC I traded my HW80 in for is tuned by Phil Crampton at Ratworks. This got me thinking, how much difference can a tuning a rifle really make? Also will I, as a pretty average shooter, notice the difference?
To answer this question I have put my hand in my pocket, forked out the cash and sacrificed my 99s. It is now at Ratworks for the full treatment.
Follow up video will be in 6-8 weeks (work and life permiting!)
    Hope you enjoy!

My stock HW99 was putting out 10.2. not a bad rifle, not as accurate as my other Weihrauchs but still a quality bit of kit.
I'll be aiming to add a Vortek Kit when available and see if a gentle fettle ups the power and removes the slight spring resonance

@@barriemercer5102 I had run out of the rifles favourite pellet. So I used a good Allrounder and one it shoots well with. RATworks 'superior tune'. HA! HA! what a load of bollocks - it'll be better but they will do the same job as any of us could. New spring, guides, and top hat with some molly for lube.... PLEASE send it off to a proper 99 tuner who actually knows what they are doing... THEN you will know what a superior tune is. I've got an SFS Imp MKII and that is a 'superior tune'... If you don't want to wait for 6 months for an Imp MKII then there's a guy north of Swansea who is hands down the BEST tuner, and he'll sort your 99!! 😉
