There's a couple thing I think you should have done... #1 ATF transmission fluid should be used to clean the cylinder wall because transmission fluid has a cleaner inside.. #2 always check the bearing clearance with plastic gauge it's better to be safe than sorry Evan when machine shop says it's in spec it's always better to see the clearance yourself so there's no doubt about it..
Appreciate the feedback. The clearances were all checked with a micrometer, dial bore gauge, and plastigauge prior to this video. ATF was used on the cylinder walls as well on a previous video. Thank you for the info.
oh man i just discovered your channel and i binged watching all your videos, you're very professionnal i really like this channel. all you need is a better microphone, otherwise it's perfect don't stop making JZ videos please.
Love the content so far. Just curious. I want to say you’re reusing pistons. Did you get them cleaned using some kind of liquid like Chen dip, or blasting in a cabinet with soda media. I’m looking to refresh my block and want to know what I should be looking out for and your video is exactly what I needed. Keep it up!
hi bro, how you know the order of the pistons rods? i mest up and. the piston rods where mixed and know i dont know with number 1,2,3,4,5,6 is. when the rods were mixt the pistons were compleat so caps where sill on. the rod have numbers on 2gb,2ma,2ob,2ob,2kb,1pb how correspond with the caps. but with is 1,2,3,4,5,6 ?? got a gte vvti
Rods doesn’t matter as they are all within spec is being the same weight from Toyota. Just make sure the correct caps go on with the correct rod. They have markings on the side, line them up.
Excellent detail showing tabs on bearings and thrust washer grooves. These are the little details that will help me remember. Well done!
This felt therapeutic, thanks.

Thank you for this amazing video great work man what kind of power do you going to get whit this build?
very nice video, is that a stock crankshaft? what's the max whp power stock crank can handle? thanks .
what main bearings did you buy? trying to find the correct "mark number" for my block number and crank shaft number.
@@seanjanda4460 I used ACL race bearings. STD size for my application. Best to measure it all to verify the sizes.
Nice work dude! love the ending with the RUclips name.
Right on man appreciate it. I had to count on my hands how many letters it had and was like IT FITS! So of course had to write it.
Nice vid! Any particular reason why you bought new main bolts instead of ARP studs?

How easy should the engine turn with the pistons installed?
What happen is I armed mi 2jz NA-T + oils squirters with the GE oil pump? No oil pressure?
Good job

Nice content!... Quick question, what bearings did you decided to go with for the Rods and Mains? And were the thrust washers OEM?
Appreciate it. I went with a standard size bearing for both main and rod. I used ACL H series for both and ACL standard thrust washers
@@TripasGarageok cool. what about the rod and main bolts?
@@EdsonHenry brand new oem rod and main bolts.
