Late to the party but if you pop two covers off and fold the rear seat down you can get straight onto the middle bolt for the rear seats. I get mine out in about 5 mins a side
Thanks for the video, went to my local Toyota dealer yesterday to have a look at the Prado and returned four hours later with a new Fortuner Crusade. Decision also based on the price. Now to start the journey of the upgrades,
Well done, nice summary of the Fortuner capabilities. Looking forward to your future videos. Not many Fortuner owners around on RUclips unfortunately. I have seen the HGT you mentioned, but found it over the top of what an average 4wd Fortuner owner would be willing to go with their modifications. My GXL is due to arrive next month and I’ll be a keen 4WD 1st timer...
Yeh got the same bullbar and winch setup on my facelift. As I think you might ge aware from the fb forum. Yours sits a good cm or so closer then mine but unless your actually looking specifically for a gap its not really noticable from most angles or by most people. Great to see another youtube channel with the Tuna!
Great vid, another subscription from me 👌 looking forward to seeing the future mods. My graphite GXL fortuner is due in 5weeks can't wait to start modifying it.
@@GuestysAdventures as annoying as it is for finding 3rd party parts and modifications I really like the fact they don't sell in huge numbers, kinda feels abit more special. Everytime I tell someone I bought a fortuner they say "what?" I reply with "new 4runner" 😂
Also had a Jeep mate and have now own a fortuner best thing ever. In regards to the airbags we have a two inch lift and 200kg rated rear springs. It sits awesome Normally and when we tow our jayco hawke there is zero sag and sits beautifully. I also agree with the roof rack problem I have decided to mount a mulgo recovery track holder to our jayco the beauty to this is jaycos lack in outdoor bench space. So you have somewhere to mount the maxtrax out of the way and when you pull up at camp it folds down to make a table perfect place to prep the BBQ or more importantly somewhere to rest your beer. It looks very smart and let's face it you have a winch so you will probably only ever need the tracks when you are towing your van... food for thought. Good luck 👍
@@Hillzy_Eighty7 Toyota AU or NZ is pretty good on delivery timeframes. Due to COVID there has been delays as factories in Thailand had to be shutdown for a while. But hopefully you get yours within the timeframe mentioned by your dealer. You could also get lucky if a customer, before you in the queue, with similar vehicle specifications as you have chosen, cancels their order. In this case the dealership can approach you and ask you if you are interested to receive that customers cancelled order. You have chosen you a good vehicle. Value for money.
Great video bud :) I just bought a Feverish Red 2022 Fortuner GXL (with Leather Interior), so have subscribed so I can "borrow" some of your ideas for our car hehe. Hopefully you managed to get a few pics on the false floor build for your drawer system, as I'm not very mechanically minded and need to see how that was put together. I can't believe there are no tie down spots in the back of these cars!!! Cheers, Don (Dons Shed and Xplor Overland, Perth WA)
Thanks for the detailed video. Just picked up a new 2022 with the 4.0 petrol v6 (can't get diesel in the Middle East). Really struggling with accessories for the facelift model as you've mentioned.
Here I was thinking you weren’t bringing out any videos because you had gone on the San Diago fishing trip with the boys from Sydney. Turns out you were just playing with new toys. Nice.
@@GuestysAdventures great video mate!!! Fortuna looks great! I still struggling to decide between white pearl or grey! Hard choice! Yours is dark grey ?
Just ordered our 22 GXL Fortuner and now for the long wait! super impressive vehicle. Not sure why they Dont sell more of them unlike in the Asia where Fortuner is the biggest seller. Keen to see how she goes with your Jayco in tow as we might get something that size sometime. Cheers
Good to see some accurate real life information. That forum can be a joke sometimes. Quick question. How did you fix the drawers into the bottom section?
Great video - I've had my 2016 Fortuner now for about a year and a half and loved every minute of it. Had a week down on the Blackwood River back in March, just me and the trees. I'm looking into getting some drawers and had my eye on either the XTM or Titan. Just checking, you said you thought the wings were from the Prado 120 - did that end up being correct?
Hello Guesty, Great content. please keep it up. I am considering a fortuner but have never driven one before, How is the ride quality on the open road? is the suspension too firm as almost ALL of the car reviewers say?
I was told by a dealer that you had to take your car over the pits if you remove the rear seats. I dont get my tuna til August so havent looked into this. Have you heard of this.
We bought our GXL a few weeks ago and I love it and love driving it. (The problem with driving it with the CovID19 is that we can't go anywhere! I have to look at the owners manual to find the filler!) Anyway, I researched this to Hell and I have clear reasons for getting this one. It's my 6th Toyota (plus 2 Suzuki) and I generally kept them for 250 Ks. I was very interested to find out why you chose the Fortuner against the Prado. I had a hell of a job separating them. (If this discussion goes anywhere, I put my opinions to you.)

Can I ask how you go with the bullbar? I have an Ironman bar fitted, same as yours and it shakes the crap out of everything!
I am looking to do a similar upgrader to my Fortuner. Who can do this so we don't mess with the warranty? Approx. what will it do to the GVM?

Gday Guesty, do you think you can run a light bar on the bar with the radar in the badge?
