Fortuner is one of the most reliable and budget friendly 4x4 Suv right❤
I have a 2006 model from New...I will NEVER replace it. We're in a forever relationship !!
Dankie Chris, ek het ‘n Fortuner so dit was altyd vir my lekker om te sien waarheen jy kon gaan. Lekker idees gekry met al die modifikasies. Sien uit na jou volgende series!
Dankie Hannes!
The Fortuner is a legend Christoff have taken were you have travelled. Cant wait for the new build mooi loop
Dankie Shaun!
Christoff you have seriously looked after your Toyota Fortuner, the interior still looks immaculate :)
Been to so many of these places. Now I am 74 and I can’t do it on my own anymore. Over the last few years I have made conversions that can make my Cruiser 70series, a 2 seater, 3 seater or 4 seater. Every mod you vacant think of except a snorkel. Who might appreciate her?
I’ve always loved your simple but incredibly effective set up. Can’t way to see what you’ve got cooking.
First time to your channel. I appreciate the review and excellent filming. New subscriber
Welcome, thanks for watching and subscribing!
Sample and functional. Thanks for sharing Chris
We have come so used to the Tuna, we never thought we would part ways with it. Can't wait for the new build...
Likewise, but like I said, our needs are changing and as much as I'd like to keep it it just doesn't fit the bill anymore
Wow! Really looking forward to what’s next!! 🙌🏼👊🏼👏🏼😃
Coming soon!
Going BIG I see Chris. Enjoyed all the journeys u did with the Fortuner, she was a loyal friend. Looking forward to the next 1 💪
I have always liked your build cant wait to see your new one
Thank you!
Those d4d fortuners are excellent.
Great music track at the end
Sorry to see your car go. It would be great if you could partner with someone here in the states to sell your get out go merchandise here locally
Looking forward to view the next rig......
Happy Holidays 🥂🤙
All the best Chris with the next chapter, will miss the fortuner; but i sense u keeping the next rig a Toyota, looking forward to the build. All the best
I watched the new video of your new (better) vehicle, but i like this fortuner too.
It’s not necessarily better, just better suited for our current needs. This Fortuner is also a great car 👍
@@GetOutGO yes, you're right, planning to get the Fotuner for my future trip.
Phenomenal vehicle, not much to say but it will always get out and go!!!
Keen to so what you will be getting!
79 Cruiser V8, Yes babe 😂👌🏻💪🏻
can't wait
Awesome rig! Can't wait to see the new build!
Your Fortuner is a awesome rig. Curious what's coming next.
Coming soon! 🙂
Ek kan nie wag om te sien wat jy in 2024 vir ons gaan bring nie. Ek geniet jou videos (en natuurlik OE s'n ook). En geniet jou nuwe wiele.
Dankie Pieter!
Hi thanks for the informative video... I'd like to ask if you could add a parts list... I've recently bought my first car it's the same model fortuner and I'd like to build it for a similar if not same purpose... I've had it for 6 months and ive already put on 60000km+ plus on it... I live on a farm I do alot of camping and yeah... also I can't really afford much so I'd like to do something as inexpensive as possible but reliable... I dont mind saving for 2 or 3 months to finance each necessary part or modification... I really enjoyed the video it has inspired me... I love your rigs functionality in the sense that every modification has a purpose it's not just for show
You can have a look here getoutgo.co.za/gear/
If this is the Cruiser that Rudu showed me then this is a serious upgrade.
I’ll be reviewing quite a few campers / trailers (that Cruiser will be in the next episode)
Good day thanks for your insigtfull content.
Q - I am in the market for a 4x4 vehicle and is not sure what to buy, why are you looking at other vehicles and not another fortuner? Kind regards and good luck in your search for a new touring set up.
Thanks! Our needs are very specific, we are going to be on the road full time soon so we need an inside living space to get out of the elements when needed. I don’t want to tow something either so that means a camper or something like a Troopy. I also need something that can handle the harsh road conditions we frequently face a little better. Your needs might be completely different and thus your choice of vehicle would be as well.
Thanks for being so informative, Chris. Just a q. Did the spare wheel carrier on the rear bumper rattle?
Nope, I can highly recommend the Gobi-X rear bumper and carriers.
Damn I miss my Fortuner. Got stolen two weeks before my planned Namib trip.
Sorry to hear that 😢
Thanks
Thanks Anton, much appreciated!
Looking forward to seeing your new rig 👌
Bud did you get your moneys worth considering the extras etc?
Toyota’s hold their value relatively well compared to other vehicles but you always lose money, a vehicle is not an investment from a monetary point of view, it is however our home as well so I’ll always make sure it’s reliable and comfortable.
Hallo Chris, sal jy weer n Iron Man suspensie op n volgende voertuig laat installeer of sal jy n ander fabrikaat oorweeg? Was jy tevrede met die IM?
Wimpie Groblersdal
Hi Wimpie, al my 4x4’s het sovêr net Ironman 4x4 suspensie gehad. Ek sal baie moeilik iets anders opsit. Het al voertuie met ander suspensie gery en ek dink Ironman is vir my die beste waarde vir geld.
Yoh! A bit more grey in the beard there young man 🙂
RUclips is making me old! 😂
What with lions, elephants and other wild animals if you are sleeping in the rooftop tent. It is just a little layer of fabric. Best Regards, David
Hi David, well even worse if you're in a ground tent then 😉 As long as you don't keep any food / toiletries / garbage in your tent you should be okay
oh wao cruiser
Nice one 💯🇿🇦🇿🇦
I'm a bit late,is it sold Chris😢
Yup, it found a great new home and I have a new vehicle as well. Coming soon…
Cruiser 76 would be nice except for the thirsty motor. Not much price difference to a new Fortuner 4x4 either
70 series is definitely an option (V8)
Hello...wats the right tyre size ....after Ironman lift. ...on the R17 ...stock alloys
It's still on stock alloys, 265/65R17's. You can go to 265/70R17's with a 2" lift as well.
Please tell me you getting an INEOS Grenadier you be the first in the world doing proper trips with it.
I really like the Grenadier, I don't however like the R1,5m price tag (for the base model)
How many Km's on this old Beast?
202,000 km
My condolences. If a Toyota is your house you are in an exceptionally poor state. I, too had a 4x4 Toyota for over a decade. To cut a long story short. The wisest thing I did was to sell it. The stupidest thing I did was buying it new from a Toyota main dealer. Never did I have a vehicle with so many problems that cost so much to maintain. Mind you I have owned twelve vehicles over a period of thirty years form various makes (European and Japanese). No other vehicle came close to being so poor and unreliable as the Toyota unless you consider a vehicle that broke down three days after collected (new) from the dealership and kept braking down hundred and sixty-five times the first year.
Sorry to hear, I've had no major hassles
Don’t buy a ford🤭
Don't have to worry about that one...
