- The wrist sensor I used for this video is called HackMotion, I bought this myself and have no affiliation or deal with this company. You can however save a bit of money by using this link if you're interested in the device: www.hackmotion....

This video just cost me $400
Started doing this last year after discovering your buddy larrys RUclips video on it. Id say ive never hit my irons better! Love your channel!
Matt I can draw the irons but not my driver. Can you do a video on drawing the driver please ? Thx
Thanks Matt! Great video! Concise and informative.
Hey Matt could you do a vid with the DST Training club? Either the PW or the 8I would be great to see and get your comments on the benefits of using it to achieve better forward shaft lean at impact. Thanks!
Can you do a video showing how wrist angles change your spin and dynamic loft with a driver as well?
I tried this today as I am a little over the top sometimes of a 4hc, it's almost impossible to cast if your wrist is flat at the top and maintain it coming down into impact. It will take a little time to groove but this could be a game changer for me.
Hey Matt, really good video as usual. Just wanted to pass along something I heard from a couple 3D coaches (Jon Sinclair and James Leitz) in podcasts. They both have big databases of tour players and say there isn't anyone who has their wrist in flexion at impact. I agree 100% with you that you don't want your wrist to have a large extension but trying to get it flat or in flexion is almost impossible and probably reduces speed. Jon Sinclair really likes the Hack Motion sensor for training like you are showing us, but he said don't take the absolute numbers too literally as that is not its strength. It's really about the relative difference between the different positions (i.e. setup vs. top vs. impact).
Makes sense, depending on how you do the calibration I can see getting a minus number at impact might be unnecessary but the difference is key.
Okay, good to know and thanks for sharing this.
Matt, I listened to these podcasts again and I now think I may have incorrectly interpreted what they were saying. I now believe what they are saying is that no one is moving into flexion or holding flexion at impact. They are all moving in the direction of extension but it doesn't mean they will get to extension at impact. It's subtle difference, but important. The podcasts did not specify where the tour players' wrists were at impact. I assume because it variable and depends on the player. Sorry for the mistatement.@@GolfLiberty
I used to struggle a lot with “cupping” my wrist and slicing the ball special with the driver, the thing that helped me the most with quieting my hands and not “cupping” was changing to a bigger grip (changed from standard grip to a Jumbomax XS grip)
Spin: 8159 -> 6500
Dynamic Loft: 32.5 -> 26.5
Yardage: 153.6 -> 181.9
Hot damn! That’s literally 2-3 clubs worth of distance. Going to practice this all winter long for next season
Really informative video Matt.
Can you do the same sort of video but for hitting a flat tour fade with hack motion?
Love the idea of this but man $1000 for the full unlocked version is quite a bit of $
Curious What the appropriate driver angles should be?
Would love for a follow up video on this with a driver. Curious to see angles
Pro told me that after hitting a lot of shots my swing get longer and I start to cup my wrists and the problems begin.
This video is fantastic! Same idea pro sender is going for?
Similar concept yes
People balking about the price for sure. Maybe the store would consider having one on hand for “enhanced swing analysis with Hackmotion” for an additional fee or maybe having a unit where people could rent usage. Seems like good data that is valuable. I definitely had to focus on wrist feels and which parts of my arm I would feel tension in as I did some range time recently. The Hackmotion data seems like it would lead to quicker realizations.
We use in sessions at the studio with customers, it’s awesome for sure
Which hack motion device are you using? I see there’s 3 levels. Thanks!!
I use the full version at the studio
Do you find it hard to switch between shafts all the time? You hit that Modus well
quality video. thank you
Hi matt
How would you rate hack motion for teaching you the right positions in your swing ?.
How does the Hack motion work for putting? Would love to see that or at least explain if possible. Appreciate it!
Haven’t tried it yet but I will over this winter for sure
Great video Matty! What’s of your opinion of the Hackmotion overall?
I think it’s great, I use it with clients all the time at the studio
Good to know! There is a “Black Friday sale” for it. It’s supposed to be $200 USD off but when I looked at it, I swore they raised the price from $399 to $499….
Does increase in flexion change swing direction numbers?
Just one thing to add. For most people this will feel weird. If you're a handsy player, it can feel like you're going to slice it a mile. You have to work with it to make it feel right
For anyone that wants to practice this without an expensive gadget, get some popsicle sticks under your Velcro so your wrist can’t collapse
You need to see the data though.
There’s a Watson Hanger than also simulates this feeling. It’s really overpriced though unfortunately
what would u do if u wanted to play a fade?
Can we get a demo video on how to use the Hackmotion? Assuming they’re a sponsor. 😅
Not a sponsor, I bought this device myself
I heard drivers are 1k Canadian?
Yet another reason I’m out to in 😢
Hack motion is way to expensive for a little device like that in Canadian dollars it coasts $407.59 that’s ridiculous price
How much was your driver?
@@shawnsmith1439 free the Callaway rep gave it to me for free
I have one called CTRL, have not tried it yet, seems complicated so far
