Best instructional video I've seen to correct your slice. Very well explained. Do you have a background in Kinesiology because it certainly sounds like it?

Thank you Jonathan this video was a real eye opener for me. I have always tried to avoid any rotation of the wrists as I thought this was the cause of my open club face at impact - are you saying it is essential to roll the wrists open in order to get the club head behind you - and then I guess I must reverse that roll at some point in the downswing - at what point would this be Jonathan ?

Yes, the rotation of your wrists in your backswing will open the face but the increased flexion in your wrists will close the face. The rotation will continue at the start of your downswing but then change direction as your arms swing down with the main acceleration through the impact area.

JT, I'm a little confused about this wrist rotation you illustrated, because it sounds like you're opening the clubface in your backswing. I don't think this is what you want to promote, perhaps you could clarify this point in your next video. :)

That is true, rotating your lower arms will rotate the face open but it will also cause your wrists to move into flexion, closing the face and as you swing down and through the ball flexion will increase further before moving back into extension at which time the rotational direction has changed and is closing the face. There are so many things happening at the same time it is easy to lose sight of the big picture.
